63” spring. I achieve the same flex that you have out of a 51” spring. You need to pack the leaf pack with less leaves. You also need to move the rear shackles mount forward and run a longer shackle, that will allow for more drop and it gives the spring leverage to drop down. Also you can cut the spring retainer and military wrap if you haven’t already
I would of if I could of. We tried a longer shackle and moving the rear mount forward the geometry wouldn't work out. It is actually limited by the shock travel. The springs are just fine and really not as stiff as you think. I tow a trailer with my XJ crawler on it as well as other actual truck stuff.
I’ve used the glorious 63 inch GM spring several times from “fool” size rigs to early Toyota. My Tacoma is in the shop now and 63’s are one of the items on the laundry list.
Still got some work to do guys. Springs have more arch and I can get some more stuff and droop out of it. Need 16" shocks as well as to set bumps and limit straps. Great video my man!
@@timcasallo1373 no they are not but they do have that small rubber bump on the shaft but it's like a safety stop not really meant to be used as a bump. I'm not setting up bumps and stuff until I get new shocks on. Just not going to crazy with it.
What are the brackets at 3:16 that hold the rear shackles mounts? I don't see them in any kit. TW write up shows just generic fabricated mounts. Thanks in advance.
@@scottpetrie8707 not price lots of work. 3 link could work but gas tank interference for 4 link, needs a track bar. Then coilovers. Needs properly set up otherwise it's not good. This is my DD and I haul stuff that type of suspension is not good for being a truck.

That truck has changed quite a bit since I saw it last. Looking good!
It's great to see these mods on Tacomas!

I actually was about to ask about bumps. Didnt see them on the stuff, so was just wondering if those smoothies were internally bumped.

I'm not sure where he got them.
Great video 🤙
Very nice. Why not go with 3-4 link since going that far?
Price maybe?
Tacomaholic my thoughts as well

Shock towers going threw the bed?
Yessir. I think they are 16" coilovers.
@@Tacomaholic tha ks for the reply. I have a set of 16" travel by pass shocks i want to use but still mot 100% on wanting to go with a bedcage.
@@Tacomaholic any driveline work? Extended slip yoke or anything?
Is there a parts list for the shackle and mounts?
I think there is a writeup on Tacomaworld that has parts.
how did you figure your shackle angle? and how is the ride quality? that's some decent flex.
Like it but ended thinking alight, gonna do coilovers
Kick ass mod!,,,great content, that must have been Tacomaholic jammin out with his band in the background 🤘🏼🤡🤘🏼
I wish I can afford those Kings 😢😢 hahaha
That’s a lot of fab work damn lol
Great video bud
I need some Kings in my life!
@@Tacomaholic yeah, you do! When is that content release? I can already smell it.
@@timcasallo1373 As soon as I get some funds.
Tacomaholic you’ll be close to that soon ;)
Shocks body too long. It bottom out before it full tucked.. probably needs 2 inches shorter
those kings should of been 12's..
I've got some 12"s waiting to be installed. 😀
@@Tacomaholic how many inches are the shocks? 12 or 14?
Nm, just saw a post in a thread in TW.. 14" Kings
Is there anyway you can figure out where your rear shackle hangers cane from?
