      Hey! I found this amazing recipe for Banana sorbet! Take a few bananas, cut them in pieces, freeze them, mix them with honey, freeze that stuff again and BOOM, done! Do not forget to scoop a few times ;)

      geisterfurz007 do you know the honey amount? because everyone I've ever done that it freezes into a block. the fruit needs the right structure for it to work. And banana already tastes so sugary so I'd imagine would be waaaay to sweet

    If anyone wants to make the perfect sorbet with during quarantine, here’s a recipe I made! It requires a little more ingredients but I personally love it!
    1 pound frozen strawberries
    1 tbsp honey
    3 tsp sugar
    1 tbs agave (optional)
    1-2 lime slices (optional but it REALLY enhances the strawberry flavor)

    I tried the strawberry one and I read all of the comments stating that thirds turned into a strawberry ice block. So I kept that in mind and took mine out and stirred it every half an hour until I get to the consistency I want. Turned out perfect. Just stir until chunks go away and the consistency is even and then freeze again . Do the same after 30 minutes and continue until you reach the desired consistency

    • @HeavymetalHylian
      @HeavymetalHylian 7 років тому +1

      it won't work. You can use 3 egg yolks, 2 cups heavy cream, 1 cup milk, 2/3 cup sugar, a dash of salt and a splash of vanilla to make ice cream. I always use that same recipe and my family loves it. Just whisk the sugar and yolks together till they are smooth and pale yellow and pour in a heated mixture of milk and cream a little bit at a time, add the salt and vanilla, chill it, and then put it in the machine. You can probably get away with freezing it in a pyrex dish too, though. I haven't tried it, so no promises lol, but I would probably freeze the container before adding the chilled ice cream mix. The trick is to make it freeze quickly so it doesn't get icey.
