Found this on an old VHS tape. Love Lone Justice & Maria's stuff but thought this was a bit unusual as Maria answered questions on the charts, Ireland and rabbits!
I'm guessing she felt at home in Ireland as, again I'm assuming, she was of Irish heritage with her look and name it's probably true so she probably felt in touch with her ancestry....
great find, Jim... following up on the rabbits.. below is from an interview she did with U2.com on the 20th? anniversary of Achtung Baby...about her time hanging out with the band...bonkers story about everyone at Bono's house waiting for a call from their manager on whether their new album had replaced Michael Jackson on top of the charts.. Maria: "At that time, I had a pet rabbit and took it everywhere. So I had it there, in Bono’s kitchen. It was running around, and there was a horrible smell because it had pee-ed down all the radiators. U2 were waiting for the call, and waiting, and waiting. But nothing happened. They were listening to the radio, and saying, “Why isn’t he calling? What’s wrong?” In the end, someone picked up the phone, and the line was dead. The rabbit had chewed through the wires."
