Hello fellow baseball junkies, my name is Zane, but you can call me Zany Baseball if you'd like!
I'm a professional baseball broadcaster for a minor league baseball team, so a lot of my day revolves around looking at the best website on the internet to gather information: Baseball Reference.
Amongst the archives of this glorious human achievement lie the intricacies of baseball lore and history - hall of famers, hall of greaters, and absolute stinkers. Every MLB player has a story, and in this series, my job is to help tell those stories using the power of randomness.
In each episode I'll type in "Random" into the Baseball Reference search bar to get a random baseball page. This could range from a box score of a random game, a player page, a team page, or millions of other baseball related pages to parse through.
In this episode we get dive into the illustrious career of Tim Laker! What? You've never heard of the legendary Tim Laker?? What a shame. Well, that's what I'm here for - to inform you of the greats to play our game!

Going a step farther, when you think about recent players who've thrown perfect games - Dallas Braden, Philip Humber, Domingo German - it shows that no matter how unlikely it is, you're always one day away from history. Beautiful thing about baseball!
