I Can Only Imagine (Bart Millard / MercyMe)

It was back in about 2005 when I first heard this song. I think the singer won the Canadian Idol contest back then with the song. A young friend Julia introduced it to me and then several of us tried to perform it at a college music night. When my Mom passed away in 2006 she was in love with Jesus and couldn't wait to go to be with Him. The next week I modified the song to past tense ("I can only imagine what it was like when she ...") and I sang it for her that Sunday. Recently a dear friend Tanya Caton passed away and I started singing the song again in her memory.

Awesome sir, I'm going to show this to my 14 year old who is enjoying learning to play guitar. He has got this song down fairly well now but he isn't confident enough to sing.
