Alex and Marko general class do have seats but has no reservation, first come first serve basis. Please tell me where did you get the music from? Is it from some website or did you have it made for these videos?
yep when british left ,railways were sooo messy...17 companies with their own locomotives,coaches,signals,gauges,Traction....from past 60 years we are replacing tracks /signals to make a uniform system...only konkan railway,NFR railway, kashmir railway & dedicated freight corridor are the new sections which are laid by us
Basically they built Indian railways with Indian tax payers money. Employing the same tax payers in jobs And British govt. profiting on the railways Basically Indians paid for their own oppression while all the profit went to Britain.
I did 5 weeks in India recently and it was amazing! Seriously not for the feint hearted though - it can be very overwhelming at times. Nothing better than standing in the door way of a train with the wind in your face, watching the most beautiful scenery go past. Can’t wait to go back!
Enjoy it while it lasts. This might be the last decade we see Indian trains with manual doors. The new rolling stock is all automatic doors and older ones are being retrofitted with automatic doors. Will take a time to retrofit it to the 83,000+ coaches in the Indian Railways fleet, but the decision is already made. It is the single largest cause of deaths on Indian trains (dudes falling off, although most of it happens in suburban rail lines). Second largest cause of deaths is dudes walking on the track and getting hit by trains.... can't really blame the Railways here, but they're still mulling fencing off the entire track length, will also allow increased speeds of our trains.
abhishek jaiswal, not sure about that but sometime I'm sure. Smith, no, that's not what I said. I was repeating what Alex said in the first scene, about the guy he didn't know who was three inches from his face. This is unusual for us, we wouldn't stand so close to someone we don't even know, it's a bit strange.
Smith, I have more than 200 videos on my channel about India, showing everything there is to see and experience about the country, from the amazing and beautiful and mind-opening to the intense and difficult and ugly. I have never said an unkind word about the people of India or the country. The only thing I have done is in a few videos out of more than 200 videos, I have informed my viewers about some of the challenging things people will face when they visit India. I have pointed out the garbage on the ground and the pollution in the water, because I was walking past it. I have shown people it can be noisy and crowded and chaotic, because that is the truth. That is not being hateful, that is informing my audience.
Gabriel Traveler you are right Gabriel. And you don't have to justify too (you already did in one video of urs)bcoz ur love fr india is shown in ur videos . I have seen ur videos on uttarakhand and I know you were honest and showed uttarakhand very nicely.and majority of people here are friendly it is just the case with some who get bit offended sometimes that too bcoz they get sensitive sometimes abt some things...
VAGABROS, dudes, bringing back so many memories of my adventure through India. I loved my experience of the trains there, great job with the video. The CHAI!
+vagabrothers Am from Ajmer pushkar when you all come again Rajasthan then plzz visit to my home I will Drink u All day Chaaai....And Rajasthan famous food "Daal Baati churma" 😁😁😘😘😘
I think the personal space is huge if you're a foreigner traveling, because Indians are fascinated by westerners. As an Indian American, I find this is not an issue for me since I look like them, they have no interest in me :P
KajalPandey I know exactly what you mean. Born and raised in the UK myself (Indian Parents)...my wife is White/European and she gets treated like royalty, I get stopped over lol. Its quite funny, I don't take offence of course, it is what it is I guess
Travelling via train was the one thing I missed out on doing when I visited Rajasthan 7 years ago! I had a driver his name was Kamlesh. I'm actually filming my travels now too from your guy's inspiration, I currently have a Vietnam doco up and will be releasing a Europe Winter video later this year.
Amazing channel. As a foreigner who has lived in India for 6 months I highly recommend you to visit North Indian states Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. I found those states extremely beautiful compared to rest part of India. Anyways Happy Journey guys. Any plans to visit Israel?
Madalena Caldas try to book 3AC OR 2AC coaches. Book tickets 2-3 months in advance. Use IRCTC app or their site. Book trains with less travel times. Even if you're booking tickets from somewhere else, use IRCTC app before doing so. IRCTC app will show you all available trains, their timings, fares, available tickets. Just put your day and destination on that app and it's all simple..
Just soo you know!! Their was NO mission of British to civilise INDIA. Brits built railway just to transport exacted Raw material. British came to One of oldest civilization in the world. THE Indus valley civilization and took all its wealth.British literally 'Deindustralized' INDIA.Before Brits came, INDIA was a exporter of handloom stuff. They basically looted INDIA for 200 yrs. Even the word ' Loot' Was stolen from INDIAN language.😂 No offence to current Brits we don't hold grudges.🙏
These travellers only have the skimpiest knowledge of Indian history - like thinking the Mughals were Arabic or that Genghis Khan came to Rajasthan. British even looted the foodgrains (providing food security to Britons) creating over three dozen British-inflicted famine holocausts in 190 years of rule killing tens of millions. In 1877 Disraeli's henchmen created Buchenwald-like Death Camps for famine victims in Madras Province. In 1942-3 racist, White Supremacist, War Criminal Winston Churchill was responsible for the death of millions of Bengalis in the Bengal Holocaust, the last of these British-inflicted famines. Whilst looting India's wealth and food, they then tried to pretend that India was a land of eternal poverty and famine - when in fact Indian had been famed throughout Eurasia for its fabulous wealth before the Brits took over.
Sutapas Bhattacharya Absolutely!!! THE Bengal famine was the worst!! In my personal opinion What Brits did to INDIA was Worst than what Mughals did. I mean Mughals were cruel but nothing like Bengal famine , jaliyawala bagh massacre. It's real cute when I see Brits talking about how poor INDIA is And lecture INDIANS over migrating to UK. I mean Who came first!!!😂 THEY Came to One of richest countries in the world and turned it into one of poorest .
There is a "masala" of optimism in your videos which will help you succeed as vlogger. India is crowded, smelly, lack of concept of personal space etc, but it is so much more than that too. Loved your video. Cheers mate.
OMG GUYS, THAT`S JUST AMAZING VLOG! I`m going to India soon and planning to take same route on a train! Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Udaipur, Mumbai and Goa. Unbelivable coincidence to see this vlog when I`m planning my trip. Found your channel when i was thinking how to pack and what stuff shoud i bring with me couple weeks ago, you have very helpful tips on that. And last two vlogs brought me so much happines and joyful anticipation for my own adventure, THANK YOU GUYS!! Hope you`ll see this comment, best wishes to you!
Sammuel I If you're coming to Mumbai after delhi. Then don't forget to put your hoodies/(whatever you wear as winter clothes) in your bag. As you won't need any of them in Mumbai.😂
Ah, I really love your work! Kinda binge watching your India travels at the moment. I was there for four months last year and I miss it so much. I think you could possibly spend ten years in India and it still would not be enough. You're so right - the Trains are THE BEST.
Spent Three months traveling on trains the length and breadth of India in 1982. Had such a great time that when I went back to Taiwan where I was living, I told my new wife that we were heading to India for our honeymoon. We had an absolutely amazing time.
Wow that was so long ago that the ENTIRE Indian Government spending that year was just $22 Billion. Compared to the $66 Billion that the Indian Railways alone spent last year.
I m so gealus....i m from greece and my dream is to travel the world but i got exams beacause of uni abd i got so many plans but uuugh i wish i was there u are😥😥 wish u have an amazing time 😘😘
Guys, I'm in love with your background score. It has a smell of India. Keep traveling and inspiring us. Welcome to India. Also visit southern part of India. Please visit Pondicherry, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
Thanks guys for sharing this awesome experience with us! I've been to a lot of trains all over Europe but this looks amazing how you can just hang out at the open doorstep the whole time and enjoy the view!!
These are the last trains with open doors...from 2018 onwards new trainset will be run with close doors..inface tejas express has already started and it is just a matter of time all these ICF coaches will be replaced
I remember funny times in India. My friend and I were sold train that didn't exist. Lucky an American traveler let us sit him him. Another time our train was 12 hours late! luckily our hotel was across the street from the train station. This is India normal rules dont apply LOL
REAGRDING TRAIN LATE..DO CHECK TRAIN STATUS ONLINE AND THEN LEAVE UR HOTEL/HOUSE...WWW.ETRAIN.INFO IS SITE JUST ENTER THE TRAIN NUMBER AND DATE OF START if journey is under 500km take train ALWAYS AC...and if more than 500km take flight
Btw did you'll take the shots from the train in slow mo? Like where you showed the man standing on the track or the children playing and all or was the speed of the train slow?
Depends on the time you have. if you are limited on time, Land in kochi and take a Bus or Taxi to Munnar, from there travel to allepey and get a day ride on one of the houseboats (night ride is a waste of money. Lots of Mosquitoes and most of the time the boat is anchored down) and finally from there head to Varkala Beach and then head out from Trivandrum. Can Fit all that in 4 - 5 days. If you got more time, try Wayanad as well.
Feeling good that you loved The India. I must appreciate all your team, you capture the small details of How people are simple here, they are very helpful, while you travelling by trains.. and you enjoy all train experiences. Thank you for loving my country.
I would like to add couple of things 1) Non reservation coach is similar to reserved Sleeper coach just seats are not allotted to particular Traveler. 2) irctc (Catering service of Indian railway) charge 7 rupees for a cup of tea or coffee. 3) Dont stand near train doors thieves can snatch your camera or mobile. If you do careful with your stuffs. Nice videos BTW I am enjoying India Vlogs. ☺ PS - Marco beards are looking terrible. 😂😂
The concept of personal space is quite different in India.. think downtown Manhattan when the ball is about to drop.. that’s how much personal space you will get in crowded places
I really appreciate the fact that you actually learn up on all this stuff... Good going guys. Travelling is as much about immersing yourself in the culture and history of the place, than just seeing the place.
I've been wanting to go on an Epic train ride like this for so long. Thought I was going to get the chance in Kenya, but they closed the old train weeks before we got there in favour of a high-speed standard gauge railway, which we also didn't get on because their online ticketing system was broken, and you have to go to the station several days in advance to buy tickets. I'm only a little bitter. This looks like a fun train ride to do. Can't wait to go to India!
yes, the trains may be not so luxurious. But trust me the scenic beauty in the moving is so awesome especially for long journeys! There are also first class compartment for foreign tourist in some trains!
vagabrothers actually you entered in the shop , i wanted to say you hii and wannna take some tips how to start travel vlogs , when will you back to delhi ?
You both are doing well , your video's are amazing and informative , i am very impressed , I want to learn from you , help me in your free time 🙂✌️ tyagigaurav67@gmail.com this is my mail id ,
The South of the country is totally opposite . It has the same rich hindu culture but entirely different and loving people. There are many languages in the South. And the people are so understanding that many faiths as Muslims, Hindus and Christians live together in unison and respect. India is a beautiful country everyone must visit it. -A kannadiga Muslim ☺
This again brought back my memory when I was studying away from my hometown & in the festival or post-exam vacation time me with all my friends travel back to home by train which was of around 6/7hrs of the journey in the night... those days super fun days.
The editing of your videos is really high quality...You guys deserve these many subscribers. I like that you travel comfortably and not cheaply like many other vloggers. God bless you.
I love long distance train travel. And especially in India. One of my favourite travel experiences and one I have already repeated. And will again. Hopefully very soon actually because this trip made me check Skyscanner and iknowthepilot and every other avenue to cheap flights!
India is on my bucket list, but I'm so afraid of the number of stray dogs they have. I feel that the moment I see one I'll cancel my trip and find a way to bring it back to the States.
Hi guys, I think some of you misunderstood me. I'm not scared of stray dogs. I love dogs. I have two dogs, both of them are rescued dogs which were once stray dogs. What I meant before is that when I visit India and I see stray dogs, I'll probably fall in love with one of them and try to save it. Thereby spending my entire trip saving dogs instead of traveling.
8hours?!?! geez, thats crazy lol... the most ive ever been on a train was 45mins lol... luckily we snuck into the first class cabin! Geneva to Lausanne, woo woo haha.... i know this vid will be epic, all their vids are.... thumbs up, fellas!
vagabrothers oh I have NO doubt that it is lol... it looks crazy, would love to do that one day just for the experience! I am a personal space person but I’m sure I’d get over that quick on that train lol love all the random people...
Lara Pinto oh wow! That’s a lot of info, thanks for that. I will definitely keep that in mind. One of my really good friends is from India, down in Kerala and he always tells me about visiting there. Would love to one day.
You people hit it man. Great to see you in enjoying Indian Railway Journey.I know it would not be as great as european railways/trains, yeah but it has it own fun during all journey through.Excited to see some more fun guys. cheers to you guys :)
Marko is extremely well educated on Trains. He knows tea was served in clay pots earlier not many people of modern generation know that. I am officially a fan now.
i just wanted to say one thing ,there is a whole change in the railway system of india,in 2021 there are a lot of clean and brand new trains,u guys come again and visit after the pandemic,it has changed a lot
it is really amazing that you make even a train travel video a cinematic experience.just love the indian music in background, goes really well with the video .hats off guys .

Your intro! LOL
Alex and Marko general class do have seats but has no reservation, first come first serve basis. Please tell me where did you get the music from? Is it from some website or did you have it made for these videos?
Just a correction: The British didn't build the trains, the Indians did. The British designed it. NB: I am British.
yep when british left ,railways were sooo messy...17 companies with their own locomotives,coaches,signals,gauges,Traction....from past 60 years we are replacing tracks /signals to make a uniform system...only konkan railway,NFR railway, kashmir railway & dedicated freight corridor are the new sections which are laid by us
British didnt made railway to civilize people....hahaha...sugar coating of their actual purpose which is solely exploitation
I think British built railways. There is rail museum in Delhi.
Yeah British designed the trains, and made indian people build it for them......
Basically they built Indian railways with Indian tax payers money.
Employing the same tax payers in jobs
And British govt. profiting on the railways
Basically Indians paid for their own oppression while all the profit went to Britain.
Just came back from a week in India. It was an adventure itself riding the train! :)
Nice! Where in India?
India culturally rich. Thanks for visit.
Culturally super rich! Love it!

I think the personal space is huge if you're a foreigner traveling, because Indians are fascinated by westerners. As an Indian American, I find this is not an issue for me since I look like them, they have no interest in me :P
what about these westerners invading other people's space by directly pointing cameras on their faces?
@Sal 040 then you are not traveller ( you are just tourist)
KajalPandey I know exactly what you mean. Born and raised in the UK myself (Indian Parents)...my wife is White/European and she gets treated like royalty, I get stopped over lol. Its quite funny, I don't take offence of course, it is what it is I guess

Lara Pinto Exactly. By the way where are you from?
Not ment to degrade your comment but it's not true ,each & every part of india is beautiful, really , I'm from north ,I know this
UP,Bihar,Jarkhand,Punjab it's just waste of time and overcrowded.
@@maku8075 Punjab, UP are stunning. Bihar also has amazing historical sights
@@ashsqx3246 If Bihar could sort itself out it could become a tourist hotspot but that's a big "if".
God I love India so much! ❤️✨
That was an amazing adventure. We love trains and this is something we plan to do this year.
Cool!!
oh hello there! I used to watch videos on your channel to plan for my Japan trip. Great to see you guys here!
Lara Pinto very nice suggestions i appreciate
Well come,👍
Go ride Indonesian train, it's clean and comfortable, with non stop green lush scenery. Windows become like television
Riding a train in India is so high on my bucket list :) fantastic footage as always x
THANK YOU MADALENA!
Lara Pinto thanks for the suggestions xo
Ride only AC Coaches. Never ever go to non AC Coaches. Foreigners will not be able to handle it.
Madalena Caldas try to book 3AC OR 2AC coaches. Book tickets 2-3 months in advance.
Use IRCTC app or their site. Book trains with less travel times. Even if you're booking tickets from somewhere else, use IRCTC app before doing so. Rohit Kushwaha the irony that railway is not good at tourism or catering but still named as irctc
Being an indian i dig the first world trains! they are clean and not smelly and the journeys aren't as tiring! But i can imagine your excitement!
It’s amazing how up and close strangers get to you! Beautiful vlog!
Yah it’s pretty wild, can be weird sometimes but it is normal there
The concept of personal space is quite different in India.. think downtown Manhattan when the ball is about to drop.. that’s how much personal space you will get in crowded places
I really appreciate the fact that you actually learn up on all this stuff... Good going guys. Travelling is as much about immersing yourself in the culture and history of the place, than just seeing the place.
👍🏽👍🏽 we are all about that on this channel
I love your channel! I am so hyped for my trip this summer, travelling around India for 3 months!
Aahhh nostalgia .....I so badly wanna go back home :(
Where are you now Neha?
vagabrothers now I'm in Indianapolis 😅 studying 😪 I just miss the vibrancy of everything back home and the CHAI mostly 😁 Hope you guys enjoyed it all.
yes, the trains may be not so luxurious. But trust me the scenic beauty in the moving is so awesome especially for long journeys! There are also first class compartment for foreign tourist in some trains!
Legit what I look forward to every Thursday!!!

East West South aur north all hindus are nice and tolerant people
This again brought back my memory when I was studying away from my hometown & in the festival or post-exam vacation time me with all my friends travel back to home by train which was of around 6/7hrs of the journey in the night... those days super fun days.

I love long distance train travel. And especially in India. One of my favourite travel experiences and one I have already repeated. And will again. Hopefully very soon actually because this trip made me check Skyscanner and iknowthepilot and every other avenue to cheap flights!
Thank you for showing my country what it is .
Unlike others who try to defame it every time
You guys are naturals, I’m addicted already 🙌🏻
India is on my bucket list, but I'm so afraid of the number of stray dogs they have. I feel that the moment I see one I'll cancel my trip and find a way to bring it back to the States.
Avanti Morocha how u hv an indian name?
U made me hate you and then love you in a matter of seconds
Lmao guys stop getting offended. As an indian, even i am afraid of the stray dogs here. Its the truth. But don't worry they don't do anything
Avanti stray dogs are not harmful if you don't harm them 😁. So cheer and do visit India!
Wow bro...xlent...videography...catching the essence of Indian culture..u r doing a fabulous job.. a big salute n respect from an Indian...

Lara Pinto oh wow! That’s a lot of info, thanks for that. I will definitely keep that in mind. One of my really good friends is from India, down in Kerala and he always tells me about visiting there. Would love to one day.
