What does a Tegiwa 70mm exhaust sound like? - Like this-

- Hello, here are some clips of the Tegiwa 70mm exhaust and 4-2-1 mani. Bear in mind it's a mixture of clips filmed on a GoPro 10 and iPhone 12 pro. Neither of these have good mics and so the true tone of the exhaust can never really been heard through videos, especially factoring in different devices you may be watching this on.
Anyway it gives you an idea, hope it helps.
If you want my opinion, it's quiet enough that it won't annoy everyone and should pass UK track limit levels.
Probably too quiet for some, perfect for me.
Also, this is the last video off me for a while due to other commitments, but i'll be back in the spring with more - Авто та транспорт
Smashing video mate, great info, Tegiwa sounds awesome as always!!, loving them pulls. Happy New Year Bud🍾👌👍✌
Your vid inspired me to get this done… had the footage for a while.
Happy new year to you and yours bud 🙌🏼
I eventually took mine back to standard from the Tegiwa 70mm but only because my FN2 is now used for daily duties. The Tegiwa sounds so good when you're giving it some, I just found the motorways hard work some times and cold-starts a bit too much for my old-man ears 😅 100% the way to go on a modified setup for sure.
Yeah it can deffo be a bit much on a long journey unless you have a very light foot or keep it at about 65mph.
Last thing I wanted was a chav exhaust and my neighbours kicking off 😂
Sounds good mate. Great year and great content. Happy New year for you and and all your family!!!
Thanks buddy, same to you mate. Feliz ano novo. (Thanks Google translate 😂🤪)
@@yardspeed13 what do you mean? I though you´re fluent in Portuguese ahaha. Have good one
@@FN2OPS I wish mate, if it wasn’t for stupid Brexit I could have seen myself moving there. - I won’t get political on UA-cam, but I think you can guess my views on this.
I have surfed in the Algarve for years… had good times in Lisboa on Pink street haha
Good food, good people, good times
Peace 🙌🏼😊✌🏼
@@yardspeed13 yeah same here mate. But next time you decide to come over let me know. I’m a bit North (Porto) but stunning landscapes. Water is a bit cold tho ahaha
Cracking video mate 👌 Sounds banging ❤
cheers bud.
Broke the 100 likes today! Thank you for all the videos you made about it. My OEM got leaks and had to order one. Based on your video, I ordered it too, thanks to my friend. I hope the old one doesn't fall off soon, lol. Btw, very friendly people at Tegiwa. Had a couple of laughs too ;-)
Nice, glad it was useful :) It's a great exhaust so far. Not too loud, but sounds nice. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment, I really appreciate it.
@@yardspeed13 Good, after 8 months you sure know. I am also thinking to buy a Tegiwa Cell 400 Sports Cat, that also passes the MOT. I just have to figure out, instead of the OEM manifold, what to use. Looking at your other helpful 4-2-1- video, there is just no room for it.
@@XRayXI piper header and sports cat. MOT legal
It sounds better than my recently fitted very loud custom exhaust Matt!🙄
I think I'd better check the decimals after watching your video...
Great video and happy new year to you sir!🙏👍
Thanks bud, it suits me to be honest… last thing I wanted was something completely ASBO 🤪 too old for that these days. 😂
Great video. Sounds epic 🔥
Thanks man. 👌🏼
Sounds good man!
Thanks bud, yeah definitely happy with it so far 👌🏼😃
Great video thanks 👌👌
No worries man, glad it helped.
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment, much appreciated dude 👍🏼😃
Love the videos! :)
Thanks man, thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
I got more to come with the car, I want to up my game on the edits and stuff, but I still feel weird on camera.
I’m taking a break over winter (got no money anyway)
More mods in the future and hopefully back to the ring later this year 🤟🏼🤟🏼
Awesome!
Thanks bud 🙏🏼
It sounds really nice. I'm considering an exhaust as well but don't really want it to be too loud on the motorway.
It’s really not too bad. I have my rear seats removed and regularly drive motorway miles for work.
This video is just what I was looking for, thanks. 👍🏻 I'm considering a Tegiwa or Japspeed 421 but want to keep things relatively quiet on idle and at Motorway speeds.
Glad it helped mate. Honestly the last thing I wanted was a chav, ASBO exhaust. I needed it quiet for track days and I like my neighbours 😃🤪
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment, much appreciated
avoid crapspeed. Go tegiwa
Sounds fucking mint bro! I need to get one of these
Yeah man, it’s the perfect set-up in my opinion.
But I would say that haha
Thanks for watching bud and leaving a comment, appreciate it 🙌🏼
@@yardspeed13 yuh have instagram bro?
Sounds awesome! Is this a cat back system? I assume the mani is giving it a slightly better tone as well
Hi mate, it’s the 4-2-1 (decat) and the 70mm, both Tegiwa.
It would be interesting to compare it with the OG cat. Sadly I didn’t do that, mainly because the bolts on the CAT looked nasty.
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment 😃🤟🏼
Yeh just watched your other video of you fitting it 👍 I have heard other videos with tegiwa cat backs, must admit doesn’t sound nearly as good with cat and standard mani. How do you get it through an MOT can I ask? Looking at tracking mine as well so looking forward to more uploads 👍
@@twillsJKZ Truth is i haven't had to MOT it yet, it's not due until August. I think i'll just have to swap the old mani and CAT back in. I was REALLY reluctant to do it... but you really can feel the difference, i made 14BHP just with this and it makes the car come alive in the mid-range.
@@yardspeed13 Shit yeh, massive gains. I guess that’s fine when you have a garage to do it in haha, months away yet 😄. Think I may just have to stick to the cat back system personally :/
Great vidéo 😊
how many horses with the complete tegiwa line without map ?
Thanks buddy, I got 220BHP! ☺️
@@yardspeed13 you have juste tegiwa Line ?
What app are u using to record db levels? I have Tegiwa manifold with Cobra 2.5” system which tbh I find a bit annoying at 70mph. iPhone 13 Pro with ‘db Meter’ app showing 85-87db. How much does the decat manifold make to overall noise levels I wonder? Am keen to make it just a little bit more refined at motorway speeds🙈
The app is called Decibel X here’s the link
apps.apple.com/gb/app/decibel-x-db-sound-level-meter/id448155923
It’s difficult to say how much louder it is than just a cat back because I went straight from Stock oem exhaust to decat.
I was concerned it would be too loud and sound really chavy, but it’s honestly not too bad.
I’m not going to lie it’s deffo louder but not horribly so.
If you can get a ride in a car with it done as that’s the only way to tell.
sounds awesome. well done. get an RRC and skunk2 Cai and youll make 230+ BHP
Thanks man… I’m building a k24 for it so I’ll be aiming for 300😉👌🏼
hey mate what Intake do you have on? I’ve heard lots of of issues with this exhaust like quality issues they break easy have you experienced or read about it?
Just to confirm you have the manifold 421 and exhaust both by tegiwa?
Yeah I have both the latest 421 and 70mm from Tegiwa.
Honestly I haven’t had it on the car very long so it wouldn’t be fair to say if it’s good or bad, yet.
What I can say is it will unlock power that you will feel.
My intake is just the HKS one… but I’ll change that this year when I upgrade the intake mani to an RRC
Hi mate has your car got the Tegiwa 421 manifold as well?
Yup it has
@@yardspeed13 sounds great mate I’m waiting until Tegiwa have them in stock and I’ll be making my orders :)
@@EpicCarMeets yeah mine took ages to come into stock… worth it though 🤟🏼 you’ll love it
@@yardspeed13 hey mate, I’ve currently got 421 japspeed decat and M2 back box - I want to get this exhaust.. reckon it’ll quieten it down a lot?
@@6114Assassain Hard to say as I've never heard what the Japspeed and M2 combo sounds like in real life. But, IMO this is a nice quiet exhaust that you can live with day to day. I just came back from the lakes from the midlands and it doesn't do your head in. I've had no complains from the neighbours either.
what was the decibels at the race track dude? static and drive by?
I don’t know bud, haven’t been since it was fitted. When I find out I’ll let you know… but quiet enough i think for most
@@yardspeed13 I'm intrigued. I guess you wont have a standard engine next time though?
@@scarfy1988 ah mate, I deffo will… that K24 is gonna take time and money both of which I haven’t got lmao.
So I’ll be running the car as is for the foreseeable future. You don’t normally know what your drive by noise level is, unless to exceed the track limits. Not every track has a drive by limit, but the static ones I normally go to (Oulton and Cadwell) do have static tests so I’ll ask when I go again
Not sure if you saw my recent video at Oulton Park but the DB noise test was 78DB static (they don't measure drive-by there) I knew someone asked me this question but I couldn't remember who... just found this comment ;) @@scarfy1988
@@yardspeed13 I havent seen it yet bud will get to it. That's incredible! What engine and system was that running?
