Thank you Sharon Rose Gabet for this upload and each of the Lost and Found Treasures. I know that I am 1 of Many Many old and new EDGE Fans that have been so grateful to you over theselast several weeks. They have been a PERFECT Surprise and a Blessing to see & experience. The Edge of Night was and IS A Class ACT in every way. IT combined every element of a successful show throughout its 28 Years. The cast was always the epitome of a true ensemble. Seeing You, Lois, Terry Frances, Jayne B., etc. etc. etc. is Daytime Drama at is Zenith!!!!! Your scenes in the courtroom in the fall of 1980, made me a foreve fan!!!! Thank you sincerely.
What I love about soaps back in the pre-80's days is that people on the shows lived in apartments and houses that looked like most of the viewers so it helped to relate to them more. Then the 80's and the glamour explosion hit.
Beau would wreak even more havoc in the coming weeks, including raping Deborah, before he was murdered on April Fools Day 1977. The story was actually accelerated. He’ was supposed to stay around longer, but the audience reaction to the story was so overwhelmingly negative that Henry killed him off more quickly planned and used that to hasten Adam’s demise, too. David Gale was excellent as Beau who was only slightly less sleazy than Wade Meecham!
I wish we could see more episodes from 1976-1978. There are storylines like the attempts on Nicole’s life, Beau Richardson, Tony Saxon, Denise Cavanaugh’s murder, The Children of the Earth cult which introduced Eliot Dorn, more Wade Meacham, even the mystery of April’s mother.
Sharon, thanks so much for posting these. Do you have any episodes of the reveal that Margo was April's mother. I think it would be around February 1979. Thnku!
Oh wow...I've only seen linda Cook as Egypt on Loving in the 80s...so interesting seeing her play someone completely different. And awesome seeing Johnny Dallas
There is a fan page for the actor that plays Beau Richardson. They would love to know this footage exist. They had a very small clip of the actor in the role on their page. I will try to find who that was and let them know about this footage. Thanks again for posting it. BTW, Ann Flood sure had a lot of big hair in those days, and I thought big hair was more of an 80's thing? ha ha.
I found the information. It is David Gale Fan Archive for actor David Gale that played Beau Richardson. I posted a comment with information on this clip on the short 6-minute clip they have on that page. My understanding is that clip was from the actress Gwynn Press Anindjar that I believe is on the phone in the scene with Beau.
Great episode! I always love seeing Maeve as Nicole. Also, great to see Mandel as Chief Marceau, and Lou as Danny. Did your path cross with any of those three? I'm thinking probably not, but it would have been close. Thanks again for sharing these, Sharon! I guess we can only hope that more episodes will surface.
I hope more episodes will surface as well. You never know. Maeve and Mandy were still on when I first started, but not for long. Don't remember Lou I'm pretty sure he was gone.
When they crossed paths on SFT a decade later, their characters were not friends. Maeve and Ann sure made their way around all the NY soaps. William Prince, who played Maeve's father on Edge, was also there at the same time as the evil mayor.
David Gale was also a soap opera actor in the seventies and eighties, appearing as the priest Mark Reddin on The Secret Storm from 1972-74, mobster Beau Richardson on The Edge of Night from 1976-77, and evil Father-In-Law Rusty Sentell, Sr. on Search for Tomorrow from 1982-83.

You are very welcome. I LOVED EDGE! So pleased I was given these episodes to share by our EDGE sound editor. Indeed, the cast was like family.

Yes very much for classic videos ❤❤❤❤😊
11:34, we see Beau Richardson, before he was murdered. Just about everyone becomes a suspect. I never get tired of these storylines.

Who was the killer? This storyline was before my time.
@@fbueller Mrs. Josephine Harper’s husband Raymond who is known as Colonel Blood. I check it out on The Edge of Night homepage.

Thank you so much Sharon Rose Gabet! I never thought I'd get to see these!
My sound editor had these tapes laying around and asked me if I wanted them. We didn't know what would be on them. We got lucky!

Oops! I'm wrong about the actress on the phone. They have similar hairstyles, but they are not the same woman.
If you think 80s hair was big, you should look at 60s hair. It was a different kind of BIG. Less perm and more "ratting". hahaha
Thanks for the upload !!
You bet!
@@SharonRoseGabet Where is out Raven ??

He played a mad scientist in the 1988 film “The Brain.”

Who are these strange people leaving comments? trolls I guess? Don't click on their links btw.
I try to delete them when i see them.
@@SharonRoseGabet thank you. They are extremely annoying and weird. I very much appreciate having them removed.
Didn't the guy who played Paul Richardson used to play Rusty Sentell on "Search for Tomorrow"? I think his name is David Gale.
I meant Bo Richardson.
