Appreciate the insightful analysis guys. By the way - the martial art that utilizes the opponent's momentum against them (@ 2:50) is Aikido although others do as well to some extent.
Ermes was brave to go inside and jerry was coward for not going outside and try to slip and get the strap.

This is not the first time he has looked inept in a match, but this was definitely the most efficient that I've seen him beaten.
@@EthnHayabusa if u see him practicing with sandris or dave chaffe u will see that he has outside move .. but with ermes he was stabborn and kept doing the same thing.

Nah why? He already fought him 2/3 times in the past, where they both were lighter, and easily win every fight! Plus losing 20 kgs for a single fight will be suicidal in terms of career

Both Ongarbayev and Ermes improved a lot since their last meeting (I think it was 2016 which is more then 7 YEARS).
Ongarbayev's technique of today is probably better then 2016.
For reference Jerry Cadorrate was beating Travis every time for at least 10 years.
But in their last meeting Travis won.
Same for Travis and Devon (Left hand).
Arm wrestling is not only about muscles, there is also technique which people can adjust and improve, and Ongarbayev definitely improved a lot.

A masterclass? Haha. He was just WAY stronger. Jerry didn’t even pose a threat. I put on a masterclass against my nephew all the time. Haha. Not much arm wrestling going on in the supers lately.
Look videos how ermes and his coach learned how to Beat jerrys style completely. Yeah ermes is a master class and would have done it with much less power. You are welcome for this lesson bud
