Some people prefer the attack you get out of downpicking - I'm like that, I only alternate pick when it's a necessity, cause with downpicking the tone is so much sharper and clearer, and because I do it alot, I have more control that those who alternate pick everything.
dude, theres always room for improvement, but i know how to alternate pick, and i do it frequently. convenient how the one time i don't everybody jumps on me. go complain somewhere else if you dont like it. also the snap pf the strings come from the amount of treble the iphone picks up on videos, and string gauge, and down pick brings more power to ur strums, and personally it helped me with the complex time signature. sofuck your logic, its my video my preference
Down picking is an essential part of heavy breakdown riffs. Sure you could alternate pick it and it would sound ok. But down picking makes the note hit harder. Master Of Puppets is a prime example of why downpicking isnt a problem here
