I know that she was Multilingual, but no matter what language she was speaking her voice always had such a beautiful calming quality.

The Dutch citizens treated audrey and mel like royal guests. I think this was after her success in the movie sabrina, she looked wonderfully slimmed, a picture of radiant loveliness.

I love the shot at 3:25 when the little dog pops its head out from underneath the coffee table. Audrey's reaction is so precious. I bet she slipped that lucky pup a biscuit (that's a cookie for us Americans). Audrey--Holland's greatest contribution to the world since the tulip!

Audrey and Mel had a happy marriage you can see here years before the divorce. Both good looking, educated, he also speaks French from school. They even look alike, both kind faces.

She looked so lovely, together with Mel Ferrer. I love her and she will always be missed.

Such a late response, but regarding your comment; Mel Ferrer wasn’t the Prince Charming he was to Audrey. Very bitter and controlling, they had almost a father-daughter relationship. Poor Audrey was probably too blind to see it.

@@SuicideboysGrey59 I do think they love each other deeply. sorry to see that their marriage did not last.He is much older than Audrey .So he gave advises and at the end he did not like to be just Mr. Hepburn.

    • @SuicideboysGrey59

@@muchincheng7105 in the book “Audrey and Bill,” it hints at the idea that Mel never really loved Audrey, but more so fell in love with the notion of becoming a dynamic Hollywood power couple. Here was this new and up and coming shining star who was in a very vulnerable state after calling it quits with Holden (imo the true love of her life or best companion she had since she was more herself around him). It was a perfect time to turn on the charm and swoon her, making her believe he wants a real future with her. He was an okay partner to have for film advice, maybe would’ve even been a delightful friend to have around, but they were no match made in heaven.
