great job, congratulations, it turned out very nice. I have had this same kit since 2007 and it is still in its box with the Panamerican version. greetings.
Hi. I was so happy to find this video, as I am building the same model, with the same decals! I learned a lot, particularly with the decal part and for all that I am very grateful. I was a bit “frustrated” that many parts of the video passed at such high speed that I could not discern the tools that you were using or how you undertook some actions (at some point, I think I saw you using water to wet a sander, for example). Regardless of all that I am very grateful for your effort and more than once during the video, I said to myself …. “I wish I had seen this before!….”
Thank you for your kind comment, I am now using a shorter speed for the filming, as I had the same comment 😉 I am glade you liked it, and if you need some advise or have any question I would be very happy to share some tips with you
@@airlinersmodelmania I had some issues with the decals (as you warned), so the plane will go in the “highest cabinet” and my grandkids will hopefully not notice! Thanks again.
Nice.. I build all kinds but civil airplanes are always good the constalation is one of them now I build de nito 1:100 scsle big bit Verry nice to do... Great job
Roden has quite a few 1/144 scale kits out recently and from what I've built they are fairly nice, I found out that fishing weights works great over putty and the fishing weights are less expensive as the putty so since I switched over to the weights I've ended up slightly over weighted the noses and ended up buying aftermarket metal landing gear but they all came out nicely, also on the decals try Draw Decals, they are a little different from the rest but you will like the way they lay down plus they dont have as much of the clear borders thus making it a little complicated positioning them out but after a couple you'll get used to them. Great job and very interesting choice of livery for your Douglas.
Doubtful Revell of Germany will make a 1/72 scale, Douglas DC-7C, "Seven Seas," but it'd sure be nice considering their magnificent 1/72 scale Douglas C-54 and DC-4 Skymaster kits. Perhaps Mach 2 will make it!
There is only ONE problem with your video... Panagra NEVER flew the DC-7C! They flew the DC-7B until they transitioned to the DC-8. It was known as, "El Interamricano" and I flew in it several times to or from NYC Idlewild to Santiatgo. From Idlewilde to Miami it was flown by a National Airlines crew; from Miami to Panama Tocumen the crew was Pan American and from Panama to Santiago the crew was Panagra.

Thank you, sometimes we keep some of those for years, and then decide to build them 😉
I respect the man who wears 2 watches. Cheers.
I don't like to be late ;-)

He will enjoy I am sure 👍
What a fight with these decals, but in the end you won the fight :-) A very nice model of an classic airliner.
Yes the decals were quite challenging indeed, but at the end it came with a good result. Thanks for all your comments ;-)
Wow!!! That's just... I can't find words. I'll go with exquisite.
Thank you ;-)

I bet it is big. I did the old Connie in both scale 1/72 back in the days, and 1/144, this was an amazing aircraft. Enjoy your build ;-)

I normally use modelling paste or playdow. This is quite cheap and also very heavy :-)
Beautiful!
Thank you
When will we 3ver see this aircraft in 1/72nd scale? Revell of Germany, hint hint?
Well there is some modification kit for this made by Contrails. But it is pricy and require a lot of work I believe ;-)

Whow very impressive, and thanks for this first hand information 👍
Your video is absolutely useless. At that speed you don't understand anything you do to assemble the model.
and so is your comment, with this tone you don't understand anything about being polite, and people willing to help you with your request
