Luxord is the light part of Luxu, while Xigbar is the darkness (like Ventus-Vanitas). That's why Luxord shows more of Luxu's old personality than Xigbar. Also the split caused them to lose memories of each other. Their elements also show their connection: Space & Time.
I've theorized before that Luxord is a different version of Luxu, I've even thought that Luxord is the true version of Luxu and Xigbar is an imposter, but I never thought of them being the same person split into a light and dark version. Makes sense to me. Also, space and time...wow, that's actually creepy how much sense that makes. I always wondered why Xigbar can just stand in the air upside down. Hats off to you if you cracked the case.
I like how Luxord has a more orderly personality, but represents fair chaos, while Xigbar has a chaotic personality, but represents absolute order. Nomura about to pit these bois in the KH lore thunderdome
Remember how Luxord even teased giving Sora the wildcard back in KH2FM? "Maybe he'd like a hand to determine his fate?" You can even interprete Xigbar's line to Luxord "What you're saying goes against the laws of nature" differently after this video. Xigbar follows the rules of nature MoM set in stone, his words aren't to be defied. Just think about it, if what HMK is saying turns out to be true (and I really hope so), then Luxord seems to be the opposite part to Luxu, like Vanitas is to Ventus. Their elements even coincide, Luxord controls time & Xigbar controls space. Time and Space, how did we never notice something like this? But it's an interesting dynamic to think about, especially if they are mortal rivals in the end, who decide which ideology is to decide over the rest of the universe. I also cannot stop thinking about what Gula said about the Lost Page and how it goes along with what Young Xehanort & Xemnas told Sora in DDD: "It contains a passage about an inevitable betrayal. It talks about the one who bears the sigil." "That sigil on your chest is the proof. See? That sigil, the X, it tells us where you are at all times" "As your flesh bears the sigil, so your name shall be known as that of a recusant." I think at this point all of this links together. Especially when considering Luxord's number in the Organization was 10/X. When thinking of if Luxord is the one to help Sora take down MoM, it's apparent, that the Foretellers could hold grudge against him & this is the clue. He's the one with the sigil. The one that lived among them all and is the one to defy MoMs teachings. I'm not going into detail about how I think it'll be a perfect twist to make Luxord (Ludor) the Player from Union X, however when mixed with this theory it would make his character even greater. The kids who all fought in the war were generally nameless, faceless & arguably "unimportant" to the rest of the plot. Not really having a personality, just cannon fodder for MoM to go through with his way of life. But if Luxord was indeed Player, then his line "What? So that we can rot away on the bottom rung?" could have some sort of connection to it, if not just a sneeky reference to it. Player was thought to be dead by the Foretellers & everyone else, because to them, he was a nobody. Just a kid, nothing special - Just like everyone else. But as we know, he did escape death in the war with the help of Ephemer, hidden away in a world where he isn't bound to time and is constantly gambling (Jewels to purchase RNG medals), where luck decides the outcome of how his fate goes in the digital Daybreak Town. He's the one to make a difference, to defy MoM, because he's the individual with the idea of life not being destined to what's written in the Book of Prophecies, but with fate being left up to chance. Luxord is the opposite to what Luxu is, basically. When considering Luxu's origins, is he really just a student of MoM? Or was he created by MoM himself? We already know MoM can create life in the form of Chirithy's, beings that guide the Keyblade wielders on their journey, always bound to them. When we first see Luxu, he has no face, just a boy in a black robe, no real identity or goals, just there to fulfill his mission. And given how Xigbar looks now, with the grey & black stripes on his head/hair, it's quite the parallel to Chirithy if you think about it. So what's not to say, MoM created Luxu in his image (black robe, faceless), just like god is said to have created the humans in his imagine, according to the bible? Luxu is just his right hand, to follow his guidlines, like a Chirithy follows their wielders around. OR You could also say he was a faceless as Vanitas was, when he first seperated from Ventus - Was he seperated from Luxord? (Luxu-Luxord - Seems fitting to a degree) They seem to hint, that both end up having a similar rivalry, given how their elements fit together and how they're on the opposite side of eachothers ideology...
Awesome comment! THis really puts it all into perspective and I think it'd be an amazing twist on Luxord's character. One little gripe though, from the dialog at the end of KH3 we know that Luxu did in fact have a face, as Ira actually comments on him looking differently, which also implies that the fortellers knew how they looked like under their masks (which makes sense tbh considering they all trained under the same master). I think Luxu is just the MoM's closest apprentice and thats about it in terms of his connection to the MoM, he just is absolutely loyal to him like the rest of his fellow fortellers.
01ChaosWarrior IN THIS CORNER HE TREATS LIFE JUST ONE BIG ROLL OF THE DICE AND DRAW OF A CARD SKILLED AT CARDS TO THE POINT THAT YOU ARE BANKRUPT AND NAKED IT IS THE GAMBLER OF FATE LUXORD AND IN THIS CORNER CARVING FATE INTO HIS OWN STONE IT IS THE WORLD’S STRONGEST JOKESTER HE IS THE LORD OF ALL LORDS KING OF ALL KINGS AND THE SMARTEST OF THE SMART IT IS THE ARCHITECT OF DESTINY THE MASTER OF MASTERS
I actually really like Luxord (Especially because he's voiced by the guy that does both Travis Fucking Touchdown as well the Ze Medic himself), honestly him being a huge thing going forward has me hype as hell!
Sora and the Master of Masters both broke the rules of time. The Master of Masters by creating the gazing eye and book of prophecies. Sora by undoing one fight by taking a risk. It fits why both go to jail and that they align the way you say.
@@dswin6306 I agree it is possible he might be able to either temporarily or permanently at will escape, but it could just as easily be a case of him preparing ahead of time setting up a temporary avatar to talk to young Xehanort or that could be from the time line where Xehanort won but might not have gotten the X-blade.
If he gets out then I cannot imagine that would be good. As for the temporary avatar thing, I have seen that in more then one work of fiction. A character chained manifests an extension of himself outside his prison to affect the world around him. In that case though, the character was actively chained to prevent his escape. This is just a theory based on fictions I have seen with things like this, but it is possible that the Master of Masters may see Sora has his means of getting out. After all, Sora has no idea who he is and if the Master of Masters chooses to keep his distance then Sora will not know until it is too late. This of course just a theory.
@@RFDN0 Talk about out of the frying pan and into the fire. So now we have the Master of Masters to deal with along with the foretellers including one that has presumably been alive for who knows how long. Not to mention, Maleficent and Pete are going to be causing their own trouble. I am not so much worried about the latter as I am the former, but still. Not to mention the fact that it seems that no one is even aware of this new problem as far as we can tell.
Lag Force what kingdom hearts 3 did bring to the table, despite its disappointing gameplay and pacing and lackluster experience, is the setup for organization xiii, from demyx to luxord and luxu. it seemed that only xemnas and roxas were important to the story back in KH2, but now everybody is basically important and i love that. KH3s setup for the future is top tier, lets just hope the result we get will actually be worth it this time lol
Soul6 is this coming from a long time fan or did you just try this game out after catching up on the story from YT videos, because compared to previous games, this was rather disappointing, everything is down right easy even on critical, theres no strategy. and in terms of story you feel like you just went through filler in each disney world, gaining nothing. Honestly the story felt dead until we found aqua and we didnt even get a chance to reconcile with her and ventus before going straight to the final bosses (which im glad we have DLC to fix the rushed incomplete ending but fans shouldnt have to pay extra for that). Thats only 30% of it too. Theres so much more they couldve done in this long wait for the last game of a top selling videogame as we know it.
"What do I think about Luxord now?" I think he's an absolute Chaosbro and I love it! In SMT fandom terms, according to this theory the upcoming battle echoes that of Law Vs Chaos. The preordained light and absoute control versus unrestrained freedom and the desire for growth. SMT often has the extremes of these ideals clash through biblical figures, but it seems like Nomura is going for a slightly different yet similar approach. MoM is taking the role of SMT YHVH, the Foretellers are his Archangels. While YHVH desires ultimate control over everything and for all to follow his will, which is a desire for an unchanging utopia known as the Millennium Kingdom, MoM believes all is set in stone and seeks to keep a record of it so that it stays in stone. Xehanort ends up aligning with that goal, though it is for the sake of his ideal of balance. How he thinks the World should be. In SMT, Lucifer (and other critters) align with Chaos, which promotes freedom, evolution, and uncertainty. Law promotes peace through stability and control, while Chaos believes that humanity should make its own choices and grow through adversity. I don't think Luxord is playing the role of Lucifer in this comparison (though given Lucy is blonde in a lot of his human appearances, it would be totally legit), but he absolutely gels with those ideals. That the future is not set in stone, and that life should be free to struggle as it chooses. This theory really sets up a conflict between the ideals of Law and Chaos, just in a KH way. And considering the occasional biblical reference in Kingdom Hearts and the X-blade itself, as an SMT fan I can dig it. I liked Luxord before because his wordplay is on point, but this just makes me love KH and Luxord all the more. Bravo HMK, I am 100% behind this theory. I seriously need to get a PS4 and finally play through KHIII so I can be fully ready for ReMind!!!
Someone who avoided being in the Book of Prophecies. A wild card the Master of Masters knows nothing about? That might be the key to beating him. This is huge
As a rule, I believe that no prophecy is absolute. They tend to be difficult to fulfill and avoid usually because they are short on details. As one antagonist once stated "prophecies are fickle creatures. They don't tell you everything". It occurs to me that the Master of Masters had put effort into ensuring that the outcome he wanted happened so long ago and now he will need to do the same here. Even if he does have knowledge of the future, it doesn't change the fact that he can by thwarted like anyone else. What one person can create, another can destroy, what one person does, another person can undo. I would hope he is prepared for that. As for the card, I have heard that it will play a part in Sora's revival.
Hmm that reminds me, the Master of Masters did mention of a TRAITOR, maybe Luxord (which theorized by others as the Light part of Luxu, and Xigbar as the Dark part) is the TRAITOR he speaks of.
Was kind of thinking along that lines... and while its still unclear, Luxord is always seen as a nobody right? Plot twist then, EPHEMER is Luxord, but using the same techniques as Xigbar. It could see allow his heart to be in the Key-blade Graveyard while still being Luxord.
@@magicalduckye2356 THAT would be pretty awesome. Although, isn't Luxu's keyblade's ability to take out his own heart and put it in someone else's body unique to that keyblade? (besides the keyblade of hearts in KH1, but that's also unique in its own way)
@@philgaimz9847 And that in of itself makes them paradoxes within the time line, no? I could see how the Master Of Masters is trying to salvage this timeline by making sure Sora is gone for good. That's where Luxord would come in. Although the question would lie in how would Luxord be Ephemer... did he own the Key-blade of hearts from one, or is it a power of one of the other dandelions... Like Marluxia? Isn't he a Assassin? Or maybe its Demeyx that can do this, he has all those other 'Forms' after all! ;)
Luxord is truly the gambler and if it wasn’t for him, Sora would have been trapped in the jail world forever without earning a wild card. Thank you, Luxord, for saving him from getting the worst Price of all.
I really don't understand how Luxord wasn't this popular before this. He has always been the most interesting member of the organization in my opinion.
Absolutely love the comparisons and contrasts you pointed out between Luxord and the Master of Masters! Luxord was always my favorite for an increasing number of reasons since getting into KH (which was only Xmas of '13, what a coincidence!) Element of time, gaming powers, versatile weapon choice, fun dialogue and personality, best fit with his assigned worlds, to name my foremost. I was intrigued by him just from reading his wiki before even diving into the games themselves! Luxord's part in the Org conversation in KH2 FM just after Axel's sacrifice interested me in that unlike Xigbar and Saix, he was actually able to see in Axel's actions a form of self "reward" that the others couldn't, and your vid definitely shed a lot of light on that! And to slightly digress, it also amuses me that Luxord is not only among those few remaining members of Org 13, he even outlasted Xigbar! Hell, the only members that came after him were Saix (the 2nd in command) and Lord Fucking Xemnas! KH3 definitely made him stand out a lot more though and I'm glad Luxord is actually Nomura's favorite. Having a Keyblade legacy was big though it was a thing shared by 3 others, but for him to be one sent to find Xigbar's black box, I feel like that would speak wonders, though I'm sure that's what his Re:Mind exchange with Xigbar would connect to. Speaking of which, in addition to what you pointed out about Luxord escaping Xigbar's scope, just as Luxord's element of time, Xigbar's is *space.* The latter could rule over the 1st 3 dimensions, but Luxord's on the 4th! So metaphorically, it's perfect that Luxord would elude Xigbar. I also liked that during the fight with Luxord, Marluxia, and Larxene, Xemnas specifically chose to buff Luxord up and not the other two. One way or another, it distinguished him, and then when he executes his game, it encompasses his whole trio. Too bad his game looked so easy from what I watched... But the wild card and the confirmation that it can actually help Sora out of his shit? Luxord is MVP and I love it! Finally a favorite character of mine paying off my investments!
I already know why I love him so; since Luxord is Mr. Nomura's favorite Organization XIII member, he was picked to be the one indirectly responsible for saving Sora's life, just when others are worried he's gone for good! It all clicks into place now!
Man, you're killing it with these theories. I identify with Luxord, really. What's the point of playing a game if you know EVERYTHING. It's not fun. 'Destiny is never left to chance' was BBS's tagline....Have they been foreshadowing this? To add to that, what was the name of the music during the secret cutscene in KH2FM? 'Fate of the Unknown' ...Those sly foxes.
Whoa! I didn't know Luxord was Nomura's favorite Organization member! If that's true, then YOU KNOW Nomura is gonna give him a bigger role in the game!
I like this theory a lot, but I also think it's gonna hinge on what Luxord's past self's history is with the Keyblade War. But this is as cogent a theory as I've seen thus far, and it ties in nicely to the fact that Sora was never supposed to wield the Keyblade in the first place, so he could very well be an anomaly in more ways than one.
I can see this going a few ways: 1. Luxord is an ancient Keyblade wielder, perhaps even the canon protagonist of Union X, who has assumed the role of "the virus" after Brain possibly grows old, has kids in the form of Eraqus' ancestors, and dies (assuming the theories on Brain are correct). 2. Luxord was a childhood friend of the Master of Masters, the Sora to his Riku 3. This one is the least likely, but it's also my personal favorite: Luxord is straight up an immortal guardian, or perhaps even the god of time and fate. Like many deities, Luxord doesn't take kindly to mortals attempting to control his sphere of influence. Out of his benevolence towards living things, and perhaps for his own amusement, he is helping Sora defeat the Master of Masters to restore balance to the natural order.
I have to admit, if KH started going into deities (aside from Olympus anyway), I would absolutely freak out!!!!!! Maybe Luxord could be the KH version of Chronos?
This is literally everything I have tossed around in my mind PLUS MORE, thank you for being able to put into words and articulate exactly what seems to be going on here! Hella stoked for more Re:Mind, let's go, y'all!
You know that chess game that young Xehanort and Eraqus play. I wonder if that chest board belongs to luxord. It is a game and has time travel properties to foretell future battles like the keyblade war. Luxord maybe more powerful than we thought before.
Again a very good and clean theory! That explains why the Master of Master and the Foretellers are black pieces on the chessboard! Sure the Foretellers will be against Luxord and Sora because the Masters orders are absolute for them and so they will obey. Just one thing, I have noticed that Xigbar's front hair have these stripes on it! It could be a coincidence, but Chirithy has the same pattern on his head! And also Chirithy often uses words that are kinda Xigbar like, like "kiddo" for example. We all know, nothing in Kingdom Hearts is a coincidence!
If I may inquire something, has it occurred to the foretellers that in his actions to ensure the outcome he wanted the Master of Masters essentially manipulated them all to his whims? They seem to have no idea what his ultimate objective is, maybe Luxu does but still. It occurs to me that not knowing the intentions of the Master of Masters might raise some doubt in them regarding their current situation. Especially since his actions apparently led to the destruction of their world if I remember correctly. I could be wrong of course.
@@lordofcreativity9637 I totally agree with you. I think the same way, but they following the masters teachings blindly. They would even attack each other to prevent someone from breaking his rules and intentions. So the Foretellers a nothing but puppets to the MoM.
@@karma179 In that sense they seem to almost be similar to both versions of organization 13. It seems that the individuals in both versions were being used as pawns by Xehanort, the difference being that some of them were aware that they were ultimately disposable pawns. Even different aspects of Xehanort himself were not immune to this. I don't pretend to know what the Master of Masters ultimately wants, but I know one thing. He seems to be keeping his true goal close to his chest and that might not bode well for the foretellers. It doesn't bode well for our protagonists either. Somehow the fact that we know very little outside of the fact that the Master of Masters seems to control a great deal of things and events despite their consequence to others makes me very uneasy.
Luxord had to learn such things from someone during his old life as part of his "Hidden Keyblade Legacy". What if he learned about it from Ava, one of the old masters? Going back to what Luxu said "Ava had her own mission. And she carried it out." What if Luxord is-was working with Ava as a means to defy the Master of Masters since I think it was alluded to the fact that she was going against him in some way.
Luxord and Xigbar have always beem my favorite Organization XIII members I absolutely freaked when I found out who Xigbar really was now I'm even more excited to see wher Nomura takes Luxord's character in the future.
“Out of the sight and reach from the MoM”.......wait a min, what if the reason the MoM couldn’t find him was because he was disguised in different costumes in “KHUx”. It would explain why we wear different clothes the game
So that means, Luxord believes that all futures should not be set in stone, concrete, whatever. He wants Sora to kill the Master of Masters, Luxu, and the Foretellers for attempting to become Gods of Destiny.
I did like Luxord when I first found out about him. Just the fact that no one knew much about him made me curious and intrigued. Now that he has had a role in KH3 and will continue to have a role in future KH releases, I can’t wait to see what will be done with him next. That and using cards as weapons is just fascinating to me.
Luxord is one of my spirit animals. I've always loved everything about him. this game he's wagering on Sora turning the tables on I just beginning and the MOM obviously doesn't like it. I actually agree with this infinity percent. I mean this is all kinda true in real life cuz we don’t have any idea of what’s going to happen in life so it happens in ways we don’t expect but this was definitely a amazing video HMK. Can’t wait for the next videos. Luxord is truly an amazing character. This theory is absolutely mind-blowing and I think the Master of Masters and Luxord are opposites to each other like Yin and Yang one represents chaos and the other represents order. The MOM isn't happy that his plans are being ruined hence the term "false light". He wants everything to go according to his gazing eye while Luxord is more about the future is unpredictable and it always changes despite MOM wanting things to go his way.
Perfect. I have always seen Luxord as a true wild card. And I have thought he was like Setzer in a way. This confirms it. And I cannot what to see what happens from here.
When Xehanort cast stopza Sora was uneffected. Could this have something to do with the card. Maybe the card helps by, instead of erasing all together, places you in the reapers game therefor to shibuya instead of being lost to time
MisterLin when you think about it, if he is the one to control Time and give Sora some of his power through the Card, it makes perfect sense Sora wasnt affected by Stop
I really like this video and the last one. I appreciate how well the video follows exactly what you are talking about. Your ideas make absolute sense to me. If what you say is what happens in Kingdom Hearts. RE I would be totally satisfied. Keep up the good work I’m sure you put a lot of effort into your work and it shows. Your videos help explain a lot of what happens in the game that I totally missed threw my play throughs. Keep up the great work that you do.
Sooo i kinda though of something, if Xigbar doesnt know who Luxord is, do you think his Somebody mightve existed during The MoMs era alongside with him as a keyblade master?
"You will love him", dude I love this guy since KH2. Kind of heard not love someone that uses cards as weapons. He was number 3 on my favorite Origination XIII list back in KH2 and Days. (And no I am not going to use the numbers for that game. I love it but almost a mouth full) With the new stuff on KH3 and it's dlc, to me, he will be more interesting than before.
I'm more curious on what the card will do. Will it stop time so Sora will be able to walk the path that he wants without fate holding him back? Seems likely.
Never seen your vids before, so I started this and had to go watch the previous theory. Earned a sub and like real quick, man. Love this theory, hoping you're 100% right
Awesome video and good analysis. It's very true that KH has a lot of details in order to explain the lore, plus, a lot of dialogues are said and put for a reason.
I’m so glad my favorite Org member is finally getting some love. I’ve loved his character since I was a kid so it’s nice to see him get some plot relevance. And knowing Nomura wants him to be relevant too makes me really excited to see him come back in remind and future installments.
After we took down the Organization in KH2, I honestly thought that would be the last we saw of them. Cut to years later, and here we are talking about the possibility of Luxord’s pivotal role in the future of the KH franchise. I LOVE IT.
I have to agree with this. It seems the xheanort saga was about light vs dark. I think this next "game" hinted by eraques when he sets up the new board will be about fate vs chance.
You are The Master of Theorists mah dude. My mind has been blown in 13 different ways. Also whats the name of the music you had playing in the background?
This... video... is... the... BOOOOOOMB!!!!!!!!!!!!💣💣💣💣💣💣💣💣💣💣💣💣💣💣💣💣💣💣💣 My gosh!!! I thought my mind was totally blown from your last theory... Until, I saw this one👍! Your theories are getting better and better, and more and more AMAZING!!! Im officially in ❤ with this channel 👍👍👍👍👍👍❗ Congratulations on producing such AWESOME content HMK!!!!👍😃👍
One of the main reasons why I believe Luxord is Brain, the Union leader who decides he is going to become a virus that changes the future than that which is written in the Book of Prophecies. I mean, one UA-camr does a good job of trying to convince me that Eraqus is Brain, but that would seem all too obvious. Yes they look alike and he seems to know how to play the game cause "there's more to light than meets the eye," but is that the only significance Brain plays here in the future? Anyway, I think you're onto something, HMK.
So Luxord is allying with Sora, because he believes that fate can be changed and that's why he likes Sora so much, because of his quote that Sora was "Born for these kinds of games," and Sora's adventures making him change the fate of those around him. Another piece of the puzzle could be Foreteller Ava, since Xigbar as Luxu excluded her, because she had her own mission, and because of Sora's price to pay for saving Kairi, Ava sees the devotion Sora showed and decides to help him escape from Shibuya. What do you think, and do you think Ava could have some connection with Kairi?
I used to not give a fck about Luxord. In fact I was a bit salty that he came back on KH3 instead a possible new organization member. Luxord: Hold my cards
I think that i just found some think about luxus when he sumon the 4 fortelers and sed that he cast his body in order to see the future that must mean that xigbar was his heartless and luxord is his nobody and after xigbar give in to darkness his light went in to luxord and make him full human and that means luxus light and darkness battle for the right of time and space now that i think of it xigbar battle stile is teleport and dualguns it plays like luxords time game cards
Wow this really is interesting, and here I thought Luxord did things this way because he's a Reaper from The World Ends With You. How little did I know right?
Sora: "Xehanort a true leader knows that destiny is beyond their control and accepts that." Master Xehanort: "But boy! Didn't you change destiny so that your friends never died to the heartless tornado?" Sora: [sips tea] "I never said I was a leader 😎"
FUN FACT: that was actually a mistranslation. Apparently in the japanese version, Sora just said that a leader shouldn't try to control the destiny of his followers but merely guiding them on their own path.
Nothing to do with Luxord, but about the Master Of Master chess piece. The symbol of this piece was seen previously on the last reunion scene in Master Yen Sid's tower, on his blackboard. As we have seen in previous games Master Yen Sid knowing details about the current situation out of the blue, we have now proof that he is working onto the next problem Sora will have. I have been intrigued by Yen Sid as much as Luxord, and with their importance growing in KH 3, I will not be surprised if he comes in the next game, reclaiming his keyblade and his title of Master, and fighting alongside the guardians of light.
We need a playable fight being luxord against MoM now after this video. Like a battle in which Luxord attempts to defeat him or know his true plan and at the same time the MoM gets to know who luxord really is. Then both of them end like "ha I knew it" withour showing us their realization and then, both leave to see the outcome of fate with a great cliffhanger to us
Well I guess it will be like Jojo Golden Wind again with the Master of Masters being Diavolo who just like him can see the future and believes that he has control over fate, Luxord being Bruno Bucciarati who has been fighting against the guy who controls fate and Sora being Giorno Giovanna who will defeat the one who has shackled everyone under his control of fate.
Ok, first off, I LOVE this theory and hope it's correct, because I want to see Luxord have a greater role in the series. Second, if we're thinking of his element like this, could that mean something about Demyx as well? Only thing I might be able to think of with his title, "The Melodious Nocturne," is the music in the series and how some songs are so similar, like with Scala and Daybreak Town. His element however, water, could be tied to a few things: Destiny Islands, since they are "a prison surrounded by water," the Dark Margin, the rain in The World That Never Was, Scala Ad Caelum, maybe even the Final World? I dunno if any of this is worth thinking about, but you never know. Regardless, great work on the video!
Ever since that trailer where Luxu ask Luxord about who he is, and you talking about this topic, Luxord is becoming my next favorite organization member.
Omg this a huge theory, Luxord might be getting a big promotion in character department, even bigger than Xigbar’s if this is real, bro the next KH game is going to be so lit
Awesome theory video HMK! Keep up the good work! Luxord has always been an interesting character to me and I've always found it disappointing how he never got a lot of screen time. Especially in the original kh2 when those secret organisation cutscenes never existed. I really hope we learn more about him in remind.
I liked your video's and your analysis on Luxord. I'd like to add that, of all the Organization members, new and old, Luxord was prolly the one most likely to avoid a fight if he could. Also, while he does respect choice and lives by the idea that all life's choices are a gsme... he's not at all averse to hedging his bets with loopholes and mindgames. Take every interaction in the PotC world/sections.
I played my first Kingdom Hearts game almost 7 years ago. I bought KH2 for the PS2 and from the beginning, Luxord was my favorite. I seriously hope this is true, cause that would be so cool!
I always thought the conversation when Sora defeats Luxord in KH3 was interesting where they seem so much like friends now after he Lux gives him the wild card and Sora says "Play ya again sometime when were just guys" and Lux says "I would like that very much Sora". It throws so many ideas in my head about how Sora thinks of himself or knows about himself being a vessel for certain people and that Luxord is happy that Sora knows he can choose to have that "normal" life later if he wants.
He was the most relatable member now I like em even more if he really went out of his way to help sora with that card that would also mean he joined the organization for that very reason he wants to help sora take down the master of masters and the fore tellers
YOU WILL LOVE LUXORD ONCE I'M DONE! Let's Get to 1000 Likes!
Your thoughts on the popular theory that he was orignaly the Player charicter of X ?
False. I loved him since KH2
This makes me think about that luxord brings everyone, from union x, to the future so they can be involved in the keyblade war
Bold of you to assume I don't already love him
Because of this video, Nomura and I now have the same favorite member of the Organization. (:
Luxord is the light part of Luxu, while Xigbar is the darkness (like Ventus-Vanitas). That's why Luxord shows more of Luxu's old personality than Xigbar. Also the split caused them to lose memories of each other.
Their elements also show their connection: Space & Time.
I was thinking something similar to this too! Nice!
Monokuma hmmm 🤔 intriguing
I swear if that's true I'll lose my mind
I've theorized before that Luxord is a different version of Luxu, I've even thought that Luxord is the true version of Luxu and Xigbar is an imposter, but I never thought of them being the same person split into a light and dark version. Makes sense to me. Also, space and time...wow, that's actually creepy how much sense that makes. I always wondered why Xigbar can just stand in the air upside down. Hats off to you if you cracked the case.
so, like that Luxord is one if the first actual nobodies, created when Luxu changed bodies?
I like how Luxord has a more orderly personality, but represents fair chaos, while Xigbar has a chaotic personality, but represents absolute order.
Nomura about to pit these bois in the KH lore thunderdome
And if they got out of it alive, they'll have gone *Beyond* Thunderdome.
(Ba-da-DUM Tsss)
Remember how Luxord even teased giving Sora the wildcard back in KH2FM?
"Maybe he'd like a hand to determine his fate?"
You can even interprete Xigbar's line to Luxord "What you're saying goes against the laws of nature" differently after this video.
I also cannot stop thinking about what Gula said about the Lost Page and how it goes along with what Young Xehanort & Xemnas told Sora in DDD:
"It contains a passage about an inevitable betrayal. It talks about the one who bears the sigil."
"That sigil on your chest is the proof. See? That sigil, the X, it tells us where you are at all times"
"As your flesh bears the sigil, so your name shall be known as that of a recusant."
I think at this point all of this links together.
OR
You could also say he was a faceless as Vanitas was, when he first seperated from Ventus - Was he seperated from Luxord? (Luxu-Luxord - Seems fitting to a degree) They seem to hint, that both end up having a similar rivalry, given how their elements fit together and how they're on the opposite side of eachothers ideology...
This has been my favorite comment that I have seen.
@@puppetsmark3543 Thank you! I get real wild when it comes to KH!
@@nightcloud9700 very interesting indeed.
This is most fantastic comment ever! Seriously kudos!!

Sora and the Master of Masters both broke the rules of time. The Master of Masters by creating the gazing eye and book of prophecies. Sora by undoing one fight by taking a risk. It fits why both go to jail and that they align the way you say.
RFDN0 I believe MoM has the ability to get out of the prison world. That’s why he appears to Xehanort thousands of years after UX.
@@lordofcreativity9637 I was thinking along a similar thought process. I think the wildcard might be how the master of masters escapes.
Sora and Luxord teaming up to take on the foretellers, I like this theory and i love your videos, good stuff man!

@@diegogrimaldo1682 Disappointing gameplay and lackluster experience? Speak for yourself. I had lots of fun playing the game. And so did many.
Diego Grimaldo people are really complaining about a game because sora takes a few more seconds to fall its ridiculous
Lag Force huh...?
"What do I think about Luxord now?"
I think he's an absolute Chaosbro and I love it!
The wild card is the key of sora's revival. Read the interview to nomura
No no, Luxord himself is a wild card
Hmm that reminds me, the Master of Masters did mention of a TRAITOR, maybe Luxord (which theorized by others as the Light part of Luxu, and Xigbar as the Dark part) is the TRAITOR he speaks of.
The Book of Prophecies tells of a Traitor but wasn't able to see/determine who it is so the Master asked Gula to find out who it is.
10:38 yo, what if it turns out that Luxord is actually somehow part of the reason Ephemer and the other past wielders help the guardians
Or maybe its Demeyx that can do this, he has all those other 'Forms' after all! ;)
@@philgaimz9847 Every keyblade can extract the heart from a person.
@@soul6733 okay i wasn't sure
Luxord is truly the gambler and if it wasn’t for him, Sora would have been trapped in the jail world forever without earning a wild card. Thank you, Luxord, for saving him from getting the worst Price of all.
That’s actually a really interesting theory on Luxord and I can see that being the case
Luxord is in fact now my favorite kingHearts character now
I really don't understand how Luxord wasn't this popular before this. He has always been the most interesting member of the organization in my opinion.
Sora wakes up in Shibuya, the card starts to react, Luxord emerges.
Luxord's human form is Yozora's subordinate, as Re:Mind's good ending has showed us. I think his real name is Rudol or Durlo.
I’ve always been Team Luxord, come on HMK. 😏
So Luxord basically threw Sora a "Get out if jail free" card, but only if Sora wants to get out of jail?
damn didnt see this comment just wrote the same thing lol
More like if Sora will be smart enough to figure it out, since we all know he's kinda dumb. XD

Cyanidethe Typhlosion “the one with the sigil”
I would hope that he joins the guardians and summons a card themed keyblade like the wonderland keyblade. You know, like Axel
Kartik Ayysola we know he’s an dandelion
@@gracekim1998 I'd be interested to see if his past self is a new character or one of the ones that have been introduced.
Luxord deserves more love and development he is an interesting character, this was a great video HMK.
That opening tho
I can see this going a few ways:
1. Luxord is an ancient Keyblade wielder, perhaps even the canon protagonist of Union X, who has assumed the role of "the virus" after Brain possibly grows old, has kids in the form of Eraqus' ancestors, and dies (assuming the theories on Brain are correct).
2. Luxord was a childhood friend of the Master of Masters, the Sora to his Riku
Very interesting! It makes me wonder if we'll see him in UX anytime soon, and if he's the key to how Ventus and Lauriam made it to the present day!
Luxord maybe more powerful than we thought before.
demyx? what you mean
J Dawg Sorry typo
Damn, Luxord and the master of masters; different sides of the same coin. Oh boy that gave me shivers. Damn that was good, really really good.
ShadowWriter45 don’t forget he is a dandelion 😈
Luxord and Xigbar have always beem my favorite Organization XIII members I absolutely freaked when I found out who Xigbar really was now I'm even more excited to see wher Nomura takes Luxord's character in the future.

“Out of the sight and reach from the MoM”.......wait a min, what if the reason the MoM couldn’t find him was because he was disguised in different costumes in “KHUx”. It would explain why we wear different clothes the game
My thoughts exactly
jokes on you, Luxord along with Demyx & Marluxia were and still are all equally my fave KH characters ever lol
So that means, Luxord believes that all futures should not be set in stone, concrete, whatever. He wants Sora to kill the Master of Masters, Luxu, and the Foretellers for attempting to become Gods of Destiny.
I'm waiting to see Luxord's real name.

Luxord is proably with Sora but has no time limit on the reapers game.
I've always loved Luxord. This theory is amazing. I'm so glad they used him like this. Now give Aeleus and Dilan more screen time in ReMIND pls
The darkness hold many mysteries
Wait... why did Luxord let Sora know about the "black box" in the pirate's cove? None of the other Organization members mentioned the box in kh3...
DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN
I now picture the wild card as a mickey's mouskatool from Mickey's Club House.

It’s possible it’s brain? He could’ve hopped bodies too. Since brain called himself a ‘virus that overwrites fate/destiny’ or whatever

These theories are blowing my mind!! Nicely done, indeed!

Congratulations on producing such AWESOME content HMK!!!!👍😃👍
I don't know, man! I'm so confused!
I used to not give a fck about Luxord. In fact I was a bit salty that he came back on KH3 instead a possible new organization member.
Luxord: Hold my cards
Luxord: Fate should be left to chance, not predetermined just because one person has seen it.

Yo! The way you explained this was almost poetic.
Wow this really is interesting, and here I thought Luxord did things this way because he's a Reaper from The World Ends With You. How little did I know right?
I still think it's hypocritical that Sora said that destiny is beyond people's control right after he rewrote the entire timeline LOL
So true
When he’s the one who’s threatened, now he’s the one doing something that he initially was against.
Sora: "Xehanort a true leader knows that destiny is beyond their control and accepts that."
Master Xehanort: "But boy! Didn't you change destiny so that your friends never died to the heartless tornado?"
Sora: [sips tea] "I never said I was a leader 😎"
FUN FACT: that was actually a mistranslation. Apparently in the japanese version, Sora just said that a leader shouldn't try to control the destiny of his followers but merely guiding them on their own path.
That makes a lot more sense. I also heard that the final conversation with Vanitas had a mistranslation too.
Then both of them end like "ha I knew it" withour showing us their realization and then, both leave to see the outcome of fate with a great cliffhanger to us
It's the way Nomura plants all these seeds without us knowing that makes me love this series so damn much.
I used to think he was young Ansem the wise since they have similar appearances
Low key your theories are always so interesting.
I can't express how much i love them. 99% of the time they make semse aswell
Regardless, great work on the video!
water is a representation of darkness
I’ve always loved Luxord despite the lack of attention he gets. He looks hella badass.
The fact that the fisrt thing that appears on his part of the 358/2 days is "Controls time" can really be some kind of foreshadowing
He’s a fortuneteller
i also like to put out that kairi's keyblade is destinty embrace by saving sora she embraced everyone's destinty and kept light from expiring
I see you with that Mario & Luigi soundtrack in the intro 👀
I always thought the conversation when Sora defeats Luxord in KH3 was interesting where they seem so much like friends now after he Lux gives him the wild card and Sora says "Play ya again sometime when were just guys" and Lux says "I would like that very much Sora". It throws so many ideas in my head about how Sora thinks of himself or knows about himself being a vessel for certain people and that Luxord is happy that Sora knows he can choose to have that "normal" life later if he wants.
I've always liked luxord, I've always found his gambling style ways intriguing. :P I'd love to see him do more
He was the most relatable member now I like em even more if he really went out of his way to help sora with that card that would also mean he joined the organization for that very reason he wants to help sora take down the master of masters and the fore tellers
