    Last night and this afternoon it rained, so I decided this afternoon to rewatch a few Pickleball videos. I’m so glad I did because I have a Pickleball Clinic on Monday and I’m going to MAKE SURE I say and execute these moves in my session. I’m, too, excited!💃🏽 Thank You as ALWAYS!😃

    I subscribed. Heard things now in two lessons I have never heard before (playing for 7 years) that make sense and I am excited to try. That said, I am a visual learner. Showing your forehand paddle back, drop and swing follow through is great. I would have liked to visualize your technique from the back hand side as well, from the same camera angle from behind. As a righty, it all makes sense. From the backhand side, I would like to see it executed properly. I feel like on my backhand, I get more consistency from having my paddle tip horizontal rather than dropping the tip down. I would like to see it in action, especially as I visualize some of your backhand returns from the far court with two hands, (which I cannot do) What is the "drop" on the backhand with a one handed swing?.

    Interesting tip for keeping the ball going over the net. But, I would take a small issue with the sequence you describe in your video: back, bounce, drop and swing. And that is: if a return/shot to you is coming deep, very close to the baseline and all you've done is just take the paddle back, then the amount of time you have to execute the sequence: "drop, bounce and swing" has shrunk considerably. I might switch your sequence to "back, drop, bounce, and swing". Doing that, your paddle is already prepared in the proper position to just swing before the ball has bounced. I'd be interested in getting your thoughts on this. Thanks for posting this video as I'll look to carry the tips into my game. Cheers!

    • @universalrackets
      @universalrackets  9 місяців тому +1

      You’re welcome, awesome input. Always BOUNCE before DROP. I know @thepickleyogi said it wrong once or twice in the vid. customize the sequence to help your own individual game. Example: I like to emphasize following through and getting my body into the ball so I say personally “back, move to the ball, bounce, finish” as my drip come naturally
      Customize but always drop after bounce. Do not bounce after drop or won’t be fluid

      Make sure you follow through and your paddle face is not open! You can think to point your elbow to your target at the end of your shot!
