As a teenager in the mid 70's Two friends and I camped outside the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne (a concert venue) to see Neil in concert the next day. Allocated ticketed seats were not around then. First come best vantage point. Neil came with three security guards to the cyclone fence and through the gate passed cold cans of coke (it was like 95°F) and autographed posters. He said to us, "I heard you slept overnight to see me in concert, thank you, it touches the heart. What a man. He is an extraordinarily humble and beautiful human being. Thank you, Neil. Will always love and admire you ❤
There will NEVER be another singer, songwriter, performer & gorgeous human being better than Neil Diamond. I will always remember seeing/hearing him in Atlanta GA at the Omni. It was a defining time. God bless you, Neil. You will live forever in my thoughts & love of your voice. ❤

I am 57 this year, and when I talk with my (much) younger co-workers who tell me how great their new generation of artists are, I bring them to the computer, pull up a fantastic artist like Neil Diamond, tell them to sit back and close their eyes, and listen, truly listen to the music and the words from one of the greatest era's in music. I don't know if it gets through, but if it does, these youngsters will truly appreciate what fine artists truly are. If the music doesn't speak to your heart, then nothing will. A salute to one of the great ones!

I grew up in the 60’s and loved Motown music. I still do. In the late 60’s Neil Diamond began to sing the songs he wrote. The first one I remember was “Cherry Cherry” and from then on I was in love with Neil Diamond and his amazing music. I had more of his music than any other artist. I was blessed enough to see him 3 times in concert; no front band, no fireworks, no 1 hour of his best songs. Every concert was 3 full hours of Neil Diamond and the audience. God blessed us with Neil Diamond and his music. Neil Diamond blessed us by sharing his talent with us. There is no other and will never be another Neil Diamond.

I am a massive fan of Neil Diamond, we all know his classic songs, but there are artists out there who would kill to have written "Don't Go There" it is such a clever song, warning of the perils of drugs, underage or promiscuous sex, all done without being crude as many artists of today are. Neil Diamond is the treasure of our lives.

I’m from Louisiana and I had the wonderful privilege of making one of his concerts because I’ve always loved him and his songs, this will be a little long but I think that you will enjoy hearing it, when we were in the concert hall it was totally packed completely all around him in a circle. He had song his first song and he stopped for a moment and started looking around the place in a 180 degree turn and he said wait a second here I cannot believe that all of you people paid to come see me and have to sit behind me because of the way the band was set up he couldn’t be seen by everyone, so he then said that he would turn himself and his whole band around and sing a song the other direction then turn again to sing to the other side. He did this the whole night so everyone got a good view of what they had paid to come see, he is such an awesome man and a heart of gold, the best entertainer that I have ever seen and I’ve been to many concerts.

I’ve seen him in concert many times in BR, New Orleans , Lake Charles . Lafayette once and I never sat during the entire time .
He’s amazing! We’ve seen him every time he’s come to Utah since the late 70’s. I hate that he’s getting old and won’t be doing concerts here one day .

I’m from Louisiana and I had the wonderful privilege of making one of his concerts because I’ve always loved him and his songs, this will be a little long but I think that you will enjoy hearing it, when we were in the concert hall it was totally packed completely all around him in a circle. He had song his first song and he stopped for a moment and started looking around the place in a 180 degree turn and he said wait a second here I cannot believe that all of you people paid to come see me and have to sit behind me because of the way the band was set up he couldn’t be seen by everyone, so he then said that he would turn himself and his whole band around and sing a song the other direction then turn again to sing to the other side. He did this the whole night so everyone got a good view of what they had paid to come see, he is such an awesome man and a heart of gold, the best entertainer that I have ever seen and I’ve been to many concerts.

As a young girl, my grandmother and mother used to listen to him, Engelbert, Tom Jones, Jerry Vale and Al Martino non stop in the house. As an old old lady now I'm the better for it! NEIL DIAMOND IS A GOOD JEWISH NAME BACK IN THE 1960'S IN bROOKLIN WHERE i GREW UP, I lived off Flatbush Ave. Went to Holy Innocence Catholic grade school. I would not wish that school to my worst enemy. the nuns were horable. I acually got smacked in the face for being to quiet..I come from iTALIAN IMIGRANT GRANDPOP Gaitano Brogni, long shoreman who came here to America at 21 yrs old. I'm so proud of him. If it wasn't for him I would not be here.BROOKLYN WAS GREAT BACK THEN. SO MANY HOPES AND DREAMS. lIFE WAS GOOD. But I'll never forget me and my dad would walk to flatbush ave, rent a car and go to Belmont State Park ,LI And guess what was on the AM radio . SWEET CAROLINE!
