I just purchased the game and I’m having a blast! Graphics are super crisp, lighting is bright as Hell! It does have a element of surprise too. Things sneak up on you from off screen.
Dont use fast travel too often. If you do, you'll miss out on a lot of events that can earn you a lot of trust and XP. Also, if you see a red laser when on your bike, stop immediately. You cannot outrun them. These snipers will get you 100% of the time and do a ton of damage to your bike. Dont be tempted to stay in one place and grind for trust. You can do it, but it'll take forever and the rewards you get are not as good as you get from simply moving to the next camp. Most of the big paying camp jobs get unlocked as you progress through the main story. Do everything. All the jobs and tasks unlock rewards, unique weapons, crafting recipes, skills etc as well as camp credits, trust and XP. I stopped to help a couple of guys trapped in a car by freakers. It was 30 seconds work and earned me 2000 trust points at Iron Mikes camp. If you are not stealth-sniping, then remember to detatch your silencer. You can burn through a silencer pretty quick and there is no point wasting them on full auto.
@@tattoodrdoke ///You can outrun the sniper/// Yeah, it is possible if you blast nitro and dive offroad. I would put that in the category of 'stopping' though, as in not carrying on down the road. I dont know if you have found this but I think the time interval between getting lasered and getting shot, gets shorter as you get into the game, giving less time to react? Seems to for me anyway.
@@Martyntd5 i haven't noticed it getting shorter to he honest. Normally i drive off road then hide out of line and sight then i sniper the dude for his cheek, then i melee the rest of them. I only use bullets if i have too.

I pre-ordered it on special edition then looked at the reviews shat myself played the game shat myself for some weird reason I thought it was very unexplainably creepy and I'm finally playing through again when my ps4 breaks so I'm back playing once again and now it's free on ps plus. Great XD
You can fill up at outposts too, that's what i usually do. I do try to top off my tank if the road to my destination takes me by a gas station or if i notice a gas can on the way back to my bike, that's just good sense.
MalwareBear Really? I just got the shotgun as well and I thought I was nearing the end of the game. I’m ok with that though cuz I enjoy playing the game lol.
One of the best open world game so far. The world feels so real and alive, combat is brutal and every bullet and kill counts. The struggle is real, first game I don’t do fast travel. The driving is fun and there’s always something to do in between. Love it👍 Only con is performance, even on my PS4 Pro. Wish it was on PC😬👍
Best game ever! Has everything awesome rolled into one game. I bought the game based on the cover, I built a post- apocalypse all terrain bike and thought it would be badass to have a game where I can ride a bike just like it. Turns out the game is so much better then I thought
Initially when I started this game....I didn't like it much and even i uninstalled it, but after that, for some reason i felt let's give it a try and reinstalled it and played for the while and believe me now this is one of my favourite games now.... slowly and gradually i started enjoying this game....a perfect example of too soon to judge anything... Indeed this game is a Masterpiece ✨
Additional Tip: Download Spotify and play the Sons of Anarchy playlist in the background while you play. I had mine set at 50% and could still hear the in game conversations and sounds effects perfectly. Adds alot to the open road riding.
Im a horrible aim, get way to nervous, so my way of dealing with hordes are "hit and run" ... I sneak up, throw a radio, and then a molo or napalm, then i shoot as many as I can before they Come to close, and ride away on my bike. Just out of reach. Always Quick save. Then i drive back a minut or two later to find them in the same spot., do this over three or four times till there are a few left that i can shoot up. I sometimes use prox mines as well. I know its not the cool way, but it works for me
It was tough and frustrating for me in the beginning. Then I realized this aint Doom shoot-em-up kinda style. I start to immerse into the game and play as it is. Occasionally have me plan my tactics to complete each job. I like the game!
Running out of fuel in the middle of the night with freakers around is one of the best experience in gaming I experienced! You can really feel the need for survival.. you got really few ammo and no fuel, but you cant just walk and leave your bike because its gonna cost you to retrieve it.. this game is brilliant!
Keep an eye on the road for different vehicles, as they have resources (unless already ajar). Police Car: Ammo Tow Truck: Fuel Ambulance: Medkit Pickup truck: 3x Scrap 4-Door Sedans: 1x Scrap
Bought this game when it was releases. Couldn’t run it in my fat ps4. Started playing recently as I upgraded to pro. Mahnn!!!! What a game. Looks much polished with all those patches and boost mode.
I must’ve played this game when it was newish as I had repressed memories of a demo I played or perhaps the actual game, but I just remembered reaching a larger area at some point. I do not think it was the one where your bike was stolen. But it seemed more laid back & I believe somebody was dying or had been attacked. Barely remember. I just remember climbing a water tower & using binoculars to maybe scan stuff? All I know is replaying Days Gone it feels like the game I was thinking of and I’m happy I found it again because it’s one of my favorite zombie games so far. If Last of Us was open world survival it reminds me of those mechanics slightly.
Just start playiing, havnt got any upgrade yet..i undrstand the frustration when first started playing but its getting more enjoyable.. but i wish you can have an assigned button to llook back and camera angle options
I absolutely love this game.... but my anxiety hates it 😂 pretty sure I'm guaranteed a nervous break-down before I complete it!!! Scares the shit out of me
This game is phenomenal after you get thru the training and unlock the basics of the game. For me the 10hours of gameplay is when the game began to open up and became stupid dumb fun
After seeing all the mediocre reviews, then watching this video. The game is really just about surviving, I'm not really getting this game for a Last of Us level story, God of War level of game polish, or Spider-Man game world. This was a small and I mean SMALL game company that has only made Portable game titles, and not open world games. A solid B+ or 85 is what I'd give it not having played the game at all yet. On par with Sons of Anarchy, great overall, but not top dog.
Your easily brainwashed by the other UA-cam channels that reviewed the game...you don’t say a game is bad because someone said it is, everyone has their own opinions and if you’ll judge a game you’re gonna have to play it.
When u burn out a nest, go in and collect the "ashes" to use on crossbow bolts, which make the enemy turn on eachother... I finished the main game, just gotta go back and kill the hoards, etc but the shit keeps turning off...very frustrating
What I would honestly recommend to new players is the second you get past the tower with boozer is to literally kill anyone your general vacinity area, max out the skill points by doing side missions then do the actual missions. A little side note, new game plus is so much better because you don’t have to gain all the camps trust to level 3, just make sure before starting new game plus you gain all the camps trust to level 3 it’s literally so much easier and faster to get through the game
I actually suggest not cutting off all the speakers at nero places heres why, only leave one left so you could attract some freakers and get some free bounties, once they are gone then get rid of the last one.(hint)Don't do this if there is a horde nearby, only if a horde is not there.(Use this for)Use it so you don't need to search for freakers and instead make them come to you.
1 thing everyone needs!! To know this game is AMAZING!! And under rated big time, oh and you also get a awesome stun gun when u complete the game u have to collect from Nero first but damn is it fun
Here's some more: 1) Get ALL the "scrap" you can -- you use it for everything! 2) wolves always come in groups -- don't turn your back while skinning them! 3) The best way to beat the "chase" scenarios is to RAM your bike into theirs -- shooting them off while driving is too hard! 4) Always carry a variety of weapons: a shotgun, a machine gun, and sniper rifle. You'll need to be able to kill at all ranges. You can kill some entire camps with just a good sniper rifle!!! 5) Finally, the best way to kill hordes is to find a nearby spot they can't see and just lob attractors and molotov cocktails at the piles of bodies. (they game always provide good "kill" spots, so just look around!) Doing the whole "chase me around" method is too stressful!!!
I bought this game for the pandemic and have just passed it. It’s fun! Hordes were scary to mess with. I passed it but now the hordes are gone. ??? Even though it shows up on the map. No wifi.
Thanks! This game is awesome, the only one that is as good as GTA in my opinion. Lots of stealth, super fun to ride the bike once you get used to it's handing.
Best tip dont bother with snipers use the crossbow you can kill enemies from far away and its very quiet + you can pick up you bolts after use most of them some break
The 'nocked up' skill is awesome for the crossbow too, dont even need to bother with headshots for swarmers, wolves and humans (atleast in the early game, i've only just made it to lost lake)
Hordes leave their den at dusk, or 6pm. You will notice them leaving their cave, which is cool and gives you time to explore it. One such cave near hot springs camp site with a nero injection.
A really great game but you really don't need to know anything about it before you start playing it other than that it is great. I've played through this game three time and is on my forth time now. There is no doubt in my mind that the more you play this game the better you get at killing freakers, even if you have weaker weapons. Also, sadly, you will get more and more bored and irritated to go through the cutscenes were you must move deek but he walks at half speed and if you don't move him as it is scripted then sequence will restart. Another irritating thing is that the most dangerous things you'll fight is wild animals ... For me it would have made a better game if the dangerous wildlife didn't excist. Lastly the music is great, even the one at Iron Mike's. This is one of the games that you play with your headphones on.
No nero injector for Health if one wants realism and immersion... I hope that Ps4 version has a decent amount (maybe total) NO HUD, I really hope so. I still have to play and bought it and then discovered it was coming to PC (but then now I can't play it on PC and buy it because while upgrading GPU I was "left out" due to the price crisis). Interesting perks.. some are realistic cool like the (emergency fueling = press circle). Nice bat on the head u got there.
Get the "nocked up" skill ASAP if you use the crossbow alot, it effectively doubles your crossbow damage, saving you from always having to make headshots in order to get a 1 shot kill on freakers.
I'm not sure how many levels of trust there are, but the highest requirement i've seen so far has been trust rank 3. Which should be easily attainable by doing quests, turning in ears and rescuing the odd person here and there. I dont go out looking for meat and plants but if i happen by them in my travels then i might as well pick them up, free money :]
Steven Rodriguez np brother, you probably won't get access to some of the better stuff as early as you would if you actively seek out trust building activities (ambush camps, nests, hordes etc.), but there seem to be plenty of quests to build trust if it does indeed stop at rank 3, but idk.
I was told a tip. Never try to take on a horde, even if you feel like you can’t don’t do it. He’s played the game many times. it is possible if you know and are skilled enough to set traps and are playing on easy mode. Even on easy mode, he says it’s a challenge to do it without messing up.
Flashlights blind freakers and slow them down. If you turn on your flashlight at night and shine it on a freaker coming at you they cover their eyes and slow down.
A lot of that is explained in the game. I've only been playing 3 days and I knew all of that. Not saying I'm as good as this guy, I'm definitely not, but I think if you've played Red Dead II, you'll understand focus/deas eye. Stamina and health pills are handy if you're on the run from a hoard and don't have the weapons to even attempt fighting them.
Just got to a new area. Can't get to first 3 areas anymore. Did not get the sawmill horde. Do I get back to that area? Or do I need to Play the game from the start when I'm done with the story.
Impressive game from a small studio. Yeah it has some flaws but it doesn't change how great this game is. When I read reviews I was leery about getting it but having finished it twice now I can say this game is really good.
The only thing that really bugs me about the game is the limited resource gathering. Like you’re checking out all these houses in a virtually untouched town and you don’t walk away with anything cool.
Bien Fernandez it gets easier as you upgrade your character and unlock better weapons. Trust me, I felt the same way but now I’m 40 hours in and I feel overpowered. Very fun game.
1 thing you should know before playing days gone: Skizzo is gonna get stuck in a cave in a mission and youre gonna be stuck there forever, because skizzo just stops moving for no reason

The only thing I can't stand about this game is that I don't have enough time to play it. Other than that it's top 3 of best games I've ever played. Seriously love this game. Brilliant!!!!
Thanks i thought u could outrun the people with the snipers and i always wasted my scrap on my bike due to it being broke by the snipers
You can outrun the sniper, you have to abandon your route and go off road as soon as you see it with nitro used. I have used this tactic a few times.
@@tattoodrdoke ///You can outrun the sniper///
Yeah, it is possible if you blast nitro and dive offroad.
Annoying how much hate this game is getting
Yeah, honestly this is a lot better than Spiderman to me. That game just suucks.
Tyler i luv u wanna be just like u yeah that game was good for a couple weeks then deleted and left in my games library
they are only hating because it's exclusive and Crackdown 3 was recently a letdown not worth comparing
@@crashpal no one gives a fuck that's it's an exclusive. If you care about that, get both consoles. I have both. This game is a letdown for an exclusive.
Me too. I hope it sells good for a sequel
This game is fun, I waited cause the hate, but it's a blast to play indeed
I pre-ordered it on special edition then looked at the reviews shat myself played the game shat myself for some weird reason I thought it was very unexplainably creepy and I'm finally playing through again when my ps4 breaks so I'm back playing once again and now it's free on ps plus. Great XD
I HAVE BEEN TO SO MANY GAS STATIONS AND ALWAYS WENT TO LOOKS FOR CANS! GOD DAMNIT! 🤣
Craig Jones You are not alone
Me too
You can fill up at outposts too, that's what i usually do. I do try to top off my tank if the road to my destination takes me by a gas station or if i notice a gas can on the way back to my bike, that's just good sense.
same lol now ino to use the pumps
Me to crazy shit😎
Did anyone else play this game the second it came out and since I’ve been playing I finally got Boozers shot gun so I can use it whenever I want
Arthur Morgan you only just got the shotgun. You have a long long way to go. Enjoy!
Lol thx I will
MalwareBear Really? I just got the shotgun as well and I thought I was nearing the end of the game. I’m ok with that though cuz I enjoy playing the game lol.
Arthur Morgan is playing another game. Red Dead Redemption 2 online must really suck.
My brotha Arthur a G
ONE thing you should know before you play this game: this game is AWESOME.
best GAMEPLAY
best STORY
easiest PLATINUM
- 10/10 would play again.
I love this game so much. I just finished the main story and I've really been enjoying fighting the hordes.
Best game ever ... hope they make another one!!!!
I love the bike and the bike physics. This game is masterpiece. Deserves a sequel
Even tho the critics hated it this game will and is gathering an huge following. Loving it.
Played it all the way thru, can't wait for dlc. I can't get enough of this game. It's buggy but fun as hell.
Most underrated game ever. This game is brilliant.
*Disarm bear traps with rocks
*Always reload all weapons before combat
*Use attractor bombs for hordes
*Don't waste trust on camps w no upgrades
Copelands camp
Fun game. Don’t listen to anybody, just play it. If you dig survival horror rpg adventure then this is your game
My tip for you would be to use PS4 Pro in order to bring out the true beauty of Days Gone. The difference is really day and night.
If you think the PS4 Pro actually looks and plays better than a regular PS4, you must be one of the suckers who bought.
You must be one of those suckers who bought a PS4 pro.
Inglourious Buster 4k HDR Supersampling enhanced etc etc
@@inglouriousbuster8005 It does...
Running out of fuel in the middle of the night with freakers around is one of the best experience in gaming I experienced! You can really feel the need for survival.. you got really few ammo and no fuel, but you cant just walk and leave your bike because its gonna cost you to retrieve it.. this game is brilliant!
You could've at least mentioned that there would be spoilers in the video! Thanks a lot!
THIS GAME IS SOOOOO GOOD! It even has the stun gun from SIPHON FILTER,just frecking awesome game..
Tazer?
@@vatossureno which ever you wanna call it.
I loved siphon filter! This game has the taser that will set then on fire?!
Keep an eye on the road for different vehicles, as they have resources (unless already ajar).
Police Car: Ammo
Tow Truck: Fuel
Ambulance: Medkit
Pickup truck: 3x Scrap
4-Door Sedans: 1x Scrap
Bought this game when it was releases. Couldn’t run it in my fat ps4. Started playing recently as I upgraded to pro. Mahnn!!!! What a game. Looks much polished with all those patches and boost mode.
2:10 when you put diesel fuel into your motorcycle
Thank you for this! I am just starting the game.
I absolutely love this game.... but my anxiety hates it 😂 pretty sure I'm guaranteed a nervous break-down before I complete it!!!
Scares the shit out of me
People who hate this game won't survive in a real apocalypse.
This game is phenomenal after you get thru the training and unlock the basics of the game. For me the 10hours of gameplay is when the game began to open up and became stupid dumb fun
I love playing this game. Not super far in the game yet. But it's been alot of fun so far .
Started playing this, about 20% in, one of the coolest games I played lately.
One of the best if not the best game I have played...
Shocked a Zombie game in 2019 is mediocre. SHOCKED.
@@sunilkumar-yx7ht Your reply is trash, what does 2019 have to do with anything.. is 2019 the year of the zombie games or something?
8.5/10 i like it a lot
@@saiyanraisedonearth7315 haha your reply is gold though 8.75/10, did audibly laugh
Your easily brainwashed by the other UA-cam channels that reviewed the game...you don’t say a game is bad because someone said it is, everyone has their own opinions and if you’ll judge a game you’re gonna have to play it.
I never knew the fact that we could refuel in petrol pumps!! i finished the game twice!!!!!!
Missed last gen, just got this game and a ps4. Can’t wait to dig in !
One of the best games I’ve ever played. The higher difficulty settings (Survival and Survival II) makes it TRULY AWESOME. Try it out.
I’ve only been playing it for 5 minutes and 3 of them were loading screens
One of the best games of this generation. We finally got the walking dead game we’ve always wanted
I don’t know why but whenever there’s a horde nearby, my PS4 will lag af
1 thing everyone needs!! To know this game is AMAZING!! And under rated big time, oh and you also get a awesome stun gun when u complete the game u have to collect from Nero first but damn is it fun
Here's some more:
1) Get ALL the "scrap" you can -- you use it for everything!
No wifi.
One of the best games I ever played. I wasn't sure at first but it got awesome fast.
I’m playing this game for the first time right now. Thanks for the tips👌
Sometimes I left one speaker on purpose because molotov :)
One of the most underated game ever...if you like killing zombies or into The Walking Dead type of show, this game is perfect
Butcher is more than double, instead of getting 1 skin, u get a random number between 3 to 5 skins per kill
Looks really good. Reminds me of a more difficult Mad Max.
If I don’t hunt or gather plants the whole game will I earn enough trust throughout missions to get it all the way up ?
I'm not sure how many levels of trust there are, but the highest requirement i've seen so far has been trust rank 3. Which should be easily attainable by doing quests, turning in ears and rescuing the odd person here and there. I dont go out looking for meat and plants but if i happen by them in my travels then i might as well pick them up, free money :]
Jackmerius Tacktheritrix 👍🏽 thanks for the answer
Just done with Ghost of Tsushima.. Thinking of getting this? Looks very fun
Yes, it's a very good game!
2:10 "Hey, mind if I borrow some gas?"
Marauder: "Hey that's against the law!"
When it comes to the speakers at Nero checkpoints, always follow the wires from the generator to make sure you don’t miss any.
I've been binge watching The Walking Dead lately and I'm feeling uncontrollably attracted to this game right now.
The game is awesome
Dont listen to the reviewers
Go and buy it
Believe me
Thank me later
Just got to a new area. Can't get to first 3 areas anymore. Did not get the sawmill horde. Do I get back to that area? Or do I need to Play the game from the start when I'm done with the story.
Impressive game from a small studio. Yeah it has some flaws but it doesn't change how great this game is. When I read reviews I was leery about getting it but having finished it twice now I can say this game is really good.
The only thing that really bugs me about the game is the limited resource gathering. Like you’re checking out all these houses in a virtually untouched town and you don’t walk away with anything cool.
I don’t know why people hate it it looks good
Rolling puts out fire super quick
The butcher skill does more than double. Sometimes you 5x as much meat.
I discovered by accident the other day while playing. You can turn the generators off if you miss a speaker. That way a horde doesn’t come.
i cannot kill a horde. any advise? i find them terrifying and just run away
3:50 how you shoot the wolf in the back, but the wolf in the front died first 😂💀💀
Do you get xp if you kil so much zombies
There whas a nero checkpoint with a ripper camp in it kinda funny
It's quite difficult for me but i will finish it cuz it's so fun
Bien Fernandez it gets easier as you upgrade your character and unlock better weapons. Trust me, I felt the same way but now I’m 40 hours in and I feel overpowered. Very fun game.
one of the most awesome games i have played in my life,
1 thing you should know before playing days gone: Skizzo is gonna get stuck in a cave in a mission and youre gonna be stuck there forever, because skizzo just stops moving for no reason
I've loved every second with this game and in my opinion it's far more enjoyable gaming experience than that shitty Horizon Zero Dawn
