I take out and eat alot of fish out of here, I didn't in this video because it was my first time panfishing my new lake and I just wanted to see what I was working with!
Great video man! You and Roscoe had me laughing. My dogs would run the other way after getting a taste of those spines. I've never thought of or seen anyone using Cicadas as bait. You were pulling in the kinda sunfish I can only dream of out in California. Hopefully I'll get to catch some that size one day. Thank you for the content. Take care and God bless you and Roscoe.
I'm glad Roscoe and I could give you laugh! Unfortunately Roscoe passed away last winter. He was my best fishing buddy. Thank you for the kind comment. God bless!
With your cicada flying while it's on the hook I wouldn't have been surprised if a big largemouth bass would've jumped out of the water and caught it in its mouth
That’s freakin awesome man I never thought about using cicadas… I would have released those panfish in some hot oil…😂
They will find themselves in some hot oil eventually!!
"Roscoe likes to eat bass, so he might be in trouble" 🤣🪦
You sure did release a lot of good eating!!
Wow! They loved those cicadas. Great content man!
thanks! have you ever seen one up close??
I hate to see fish thrown back. Keeping fish is usually good for the lake ecosystem, plus you got organically grown fish to eat.

@@Travis-FNG Well you got some great genetics on those gills in that pond.
That's what I call a honey hole!
Wanna see you fish this year , first time since 1808 2 groups are out
Good job from Grandma Tuttle
"That's a huuuuugggge b***h (redear)!!!" And some Bluegill, apparently.
Should of eaten one or two wo.
What pond or lake you at ?
I'm from Indiana
This is my pond in Bloomfield, what part of Indiana are you from? Happy to see a fellow hoosier! 💪
Great video - too bad the cicadas dont last very long when they come out!
I know! Thanks!
This a very unique and interesting method. Great content man.
Thanks buddy!
Fancy. Worm does as well. But nice
I love the ending.
Thank you for watching til the end!!
Where can I find some cicadas ?
They only come around every so often here they spend sometimes years burrowed deep in the ground under. Where are you from?
@@Travis-FNG I’m from Georgia
Whaaaat? You threw all the food back!!!!🤣🤣

Awesome video
Thank you very much!
❤
Way too cool
Thanks my dude!
Great video I may have to use cicadas as bait in the future the brood of swarm of cicadas that I won't probably see in bunches until probably 2024
And here we are.
I will have to agree. What a unit!
With your cicada flying while it's on the hook I wouldn't have been surprised if a big largemouth bass would've jumped out of the water and caught it in its mouth
I should have tried to make that happen, that would've been cool!
@@Travis-FNG Yeah that would have been sweet and sometimes it usually takes me 3 seconds to catch a fish when I'm fishing up in Fredonia
Those were some slabs!
Never used a bait that flys
Tore em up today with the cicada
They work soo well.. can't wait for them to come around again
Excellent fish to eat better than crappie
I agree!
Great video, I enjoyed it
Thank you Leroy!!
Enjoyed your video.
lmao this is some next level fishing
Lol thanks man, I had a blast fishing like that. I want to do it again, but I need to find a good alternative to cicadas 🤔

My freezer is already full!
