I actually got use to doing the intro with alternating picking. Not sure when I switched but didn't realize I was doing it until I was playing with my son and his friend and his friend noticed I was playing different.
I have tried to cover that song back in the day. Yeah, I butchered it like all the local bar pickers. Man we weren't even close :)

The tabs are right in the video. And if you're having trouble, slow down the video. Many people forget you can change playback speed to see a closer look at what is going on.

Hey Chris I don't know if you do AMAs anymore. But as someone who learnt 4-5 songs following you during lockdown how do I join a band. Is it still a thing. Or is there a minimum standard to reach before thinking about live playing with a band? It is so good to see you back. I wish one day you become huge and super famous and I can tell my friends and family "He taught me Soloing/shredding" I still say it lol ; )

Well yes, but actually no. He has this "finger condom" over his thumb of the picking hand which holds a pick. But he used to play without a pick / with his nail back in the days when were young 😄
