Hey Jacqie. I just wanted to drop you a line and tell you I found Mark when I was diagnosed with throat cancer in Sep 2019. Mark was an inspiration to me then and he still is today. Unfortunately, I recently found out (7 months after chemo/radiation and surgery) my cancer is back and I'm terminal, so even though I've elected to go through therapy, eventually I'll be following in Marks' footsteps and there's nothing I can do except document it on my UA-cam channel like he did. Maybe someone can use the information he and I provide to help them deal with this disgusting disease. I can only pray I'll have half the courage Mark did. God bless you and the kids and take care of yourself!

I agree. We just want the best for you and the kids, and we realize that the "New normal" takes a good amount of time to start really feeling totally normal.
I went through a tremendous amount of loss and surgeries and changes in a short amount of time. It took more than 2 years for me, and even then I was subject to a crying jag once or twice a month.
But mostly, it is a case (after the first year anyway), of each month being better than the last.
Yeah this channel is a excellent start for the kids to take over the channel as they get older...

I had the privilege to work with Mark at best buy in Killeen. I met you a few times and you were always so kind. Mark loved you with everything in his heart as you know but a person standing outside of your relationship I want you to know everyone else around the 2 of you saw it. I spoke with him several months before the end of his incredible life. I've never in my life known a person as great as Mark. Thank you for giving an update to everyone. The people that know you 2 care about your future.

Its nice to see people are still here. However, Mark's dad did put up a update on his channel about the family. The channel is Out on the Ranch (with Dr. Lee) and he said its been hard losing Mark but the family is doing well and the kids are older. That's just a short summary, but everyone should go watch his update. Merry Christmas and good health and blessing to all.

She's needs someone just like we all do and those kids need a good father figure. She has a lot of life left and to think she's gonna do it alone is ridiculous. What sucks is everyone on here is gonna freak out when it happens.

Celebrating Mark's life one year later. I rewatched Matt's video that popped up in my feed. Mark was a remarkable young man and I am looking forward to meeting him in person in heaven

After watching this video, I realized I hadn't seen Mark's last videos. I was on my own roller coaster that ended positively. I'm glad Mark posted as long as he did, but you could see it was harder and harder for him. I respect him for his effort. It was hard to watch.
To post some good news! On March 11th, when Mark passed, I was awake in hospital on the transplant floor waiting to hear if the 4th attempt at a kidney transplant would happen. I could never sleep the night of waiting. After 5.5 long years and a lot of work, I received a kidney the next afternoon. It was an emotional rollercoaster for 2 months after the first call. Recovery still has some bumps, but I'm looking for things to get smoother soon.
It took me two to three years proceeding my wife's passing to be able to function properly you are doing a very good job and you should be very proud of yourself
Took two years for me to come out the numbing cloud of grief. I remember the day it happened. I was driving in the car, just running errands, and a Christmas song came on the radio & I remember how happy the song was making me feel. It was just that sudden...I had broken through it. I felt joy for the first time in two years. I remember feeling so happy that I could "feel" again.
Grief is different for everyone. And one way isn't necessarily any better than another. God blesses us all in different ways, and some people have been blessed to process hardship better than others. He is faithful though and brings us through whatever we have to endure. Whether it's a short or long journey he walks it with us. And it's our own. It shaped us into who we are today, and prepares us for tomorrow. "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. I'm still grieving over the loss of my Mom and two relatives that died back to back in 2017. Mark died on my birthday and that was a very sad day. 😢 I miss him but know he is in heaven 😇 looking down on HIS family. 💓💞❤❣

Dec 16, 2023 I'm a woman, and I'm here to see how you and your beautiful children are doing. You help a lot, just letting people know that day-to-day you're getting a little bit better. You don't have to put anything really deep, or thought provoking or intelligent. Just seeing you laugh is really nice. I just watched Mark's dads tribute to him, and it was wonderful. It sounds like Mark really packed a lot of living and loving into his 31 years. He was lucky to have you, and you all were lucky to have him. What a great guy, and father and husband. Sending love to you, !! You're both still making an impact.
Sure would love to hear from you again. Your husband was a real inspiration to me and I just had my first kid. I keep thinking of all the people we have lost along the way and how she won’t ever meet them. Can’t imagine what you think about your kids missing out on. My favorite part of watching Matt's Off the Ranch videos is the end where they're on the 4-wheelers and Matt dumps the camera in the water and Mark says "errr... what camera is that?...number...." Makes me smile everytime even though I hadn't really watched anything until he was really sick.

I knew that Matt had brothers I did not know that Mark had a channel until the video where Matt told us about Mark having cancer and posted a link to his channel, the DIY and crafts Mark was doing is something I regret not being around for.

Also an idea for content. Just vlog one whole day and see how it goes. Share cooking breakfast and getting your kids ready and errands and anything you do. You have a very receptive audience for pretty much any content. Only problem is that it requires editing but vlogs are the best way to learn! Obviously no obligation or anything.
If not vlogging/editing actual videos, one or two livestreams a month would be extremely appreciated and well received. And maybe good for all of us.

I stumbled upon Mark's video about his decision to stop treatment. I saw a beautiful, loving, funny and courageous man who was FULLY alive and living totally in the moment. I was so happy that he chose to take care of himself, to be more comfortable in whatever time he had left on his journey. Then I saw your final update. Of course I'd already learned from comments in his video that he'd already passed. I wept along with you, a total stranger to me, for the obvious pain of your loss of Mark. You too were completely present in your grief, instead of denying it, and thank you for sharing with Mark's audience. I was afraid I'd go to bed totally depressed after watching those two videos. Luckily, I happened upon this one. Your warmth , your smile, and the grace you displayed so soon after your loss gave me great hope for you and your family. May God bless you all. And yes, Mark won. In heaven, he is healed.
The sad part is that he could have been saved very easily with Thomas Seyfried's treatment.

I totally felt your heart and pain. I watch Matt videos and it’s been a while since I had tuned in. I seen the video that Matt had. Lost his friend and partner and than the next one was the loss of his brother. So I couldn’t stop watching and I must say his inspiration and his fight was overwhelming to my soul and heart. What a beautiful family you have and the faith that will forever hold you together for you and your beautiful children. I lost my husband unexpectedly 5yrs ago and did it forever take life out of me and still today I!But your husband touched my spirit with all his determination and the love of life! I hope you come on here from time to time so that we know that you and the kids our doing fine!! My prayers and thoughts will always be with you❤ God Bless🙏🏻 From Ohio❤

Which is actually a long time ago in lung cancer time. I am on Keytruda, chemo did not work. My doctor said I wouldnot be here without it. I thank God for this medicine every day.
