Always better safe than sorry bro. I talk to a decent amount of Melton and some Maverick and most are like minded. I drive TMC. I hate new construction almost gotten stuck a few times.
I climb on the trailer to twist the runaway bundle around, that way everything is secured underneath one strap. There’s been days where I didn’t feel like climbing though, so I went with two straps.
I picked up an insulation load in Modesto Cali kingspan going to de Soto Kansas, was supposed to be OD. But ended up being the norm. I was kind of looking forward to it. Nice vid as always! See you on the road
@@JD10spd that’s really just gonna depend on what you’re hauling. Some loads are low profile and cut through just fine, and some loads might feel like you’re dragging a parachute behind you

Great job Ian! Roll safe down to Alabama!
Thank you! I made it there and now I’m heading up to Michigan with some lumber
@@ianelbert You’re crushing it bro! Roll safe out there!

Do Melton trucks come equipped with APUs?
@@christopherraymond2316 I believe most of the fleet currently has them, and Melton is phasing out all the trucks that don’t
Do you have a TV on your truck?
Hey men, hope do you have a good day, I’m fresh out school right now, do you recommend Melton for first company?
I definitely do recommend it. It’s where I started right after I graduated CDL school and it’s been great for me
Hi Ian you prefer the freight liner or kenworth?
I prefer the Kenworth. The biggest reason for me is that it has so much more room to store equipment which makes organizing a lot easier
I go for orientation on the 26th bro…. Are the trucks automatic or manual?
They’re all automatic
Do you have a twic card ?
I don’t, but I definitely recommend getting one. It’ll save you a lot of time if you have to pick up or deliver at a port
@@ianelbert gotcha, I’m otw to Tulsa as we speak ready for orientation in the morning
@@GBabyLifestyle oh nice! Good luck in orientation, hopefully I’ll see ya around out on the road
@@ianelbert appreciate it & likewise 💪🏾
