I am a 48 year old mom of 3 who was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer in early 2021, and I have endured surgeries and treatments, a family member passed away, and my family lost four beloved pets. I am too sick to work so we lost half our household income. 2021 was the hardest year of my life...but Isabel, when you encouraged us all to breathe in with you and exhale all the pain and negativity from 2021...you geuinely made me feel like we are all connected and not alone, and you reminded me we all have pain and struggles to endure. I absolutely adore you, you beautiful ethereal sprite. Some human beings are actually walking angels here to remind us of our connection to each other and our earth, and you are one of them. I appreciate you so much, your videos have enriched my life in so many ways. I fervently wish for peace and happiness for you and anyone else reading this. ❤️❤️❤️

Hi Isabel. Greetings from freezing Finland. Temperatures now down to -22F. Here´s a useful thing for you to do before next winter arrives: Insulate the cold water pipes, both outside and in. It easy to do - and cheap. It will save you from a lot of trouble. The nearest hardware store has the insulation for sure. Keep up the lifestyle. I like watching your stories...
Isabel:) you should get a “trail cam” and put it in your yard, that way you can look at it in the morning and see what critters you share your yard with ❤️
Don't worry Isabel you will always find a project that is a problem of a creative mind and the reason you built the other building. I am in my 60's and I am always thinking of the next project half way through each project. I think you might want a greenhouse there one day to help you get an early start on the garden. I love the way you observe your surroundings...we should all do that everyday!
My uncle lived in solitude in the mountains for 16 years. He was self-sufficient, a gifted craftsman and outdoorsman. He froze to death while out on a clear, snowy day. They didn’t locate his body until the spring. I love your videos and have faith in your skills. But please be extremely cautious when hiking in the snow alone. Use a gps signal device to ping your location & don’t take dangerous chances to get the good shot.

This is probably my favorite Isabel video. It was absolutely beautiful & calming & peaceful. I love that winter is a time for most of us to calm ourselves & reflect & spend time hibernating & cozying up inside under soft warm coverings by fires, being grateful & making comforting meals & just being. I look forward to more videos like this, this winter.

Isabel, I am grateful that you took that moment to breathe in and breathe out all our troubles together. For a moment, I felt like I have a friend outside of my family. Thank you. I hope that you remain safe, content, and benefit spiritually from your living there and filming for us.
This winter, I’ve found a whole new love for the cold. It was just one long weekend trip into the woods alone, a few weeks ago that got me there. Disconnecting, being in nature, seeing the snow. I love how winter slows us down. We take on more moon energy. It’s the moons time to shine. Your channel comforts this in me.
Your channel is SUCH an inspiration to me in so many aspects of life: triathlons, living minimally, creating a YT channel, yoga... Your tiny house is like my dream house. But how you filmed this video is like a movie honestly!
yoga and eating organically has made her in good shape and stress free and she can take on the projects. Some of the food she makes looks better than store bought. hehe.

I really appreciate you taking the time to show and explain to us how to do things. I'm 64 and after 43 years as a critical nurse, I suddenly find myself without a job. I live in the mountains and am taking this time in my life to finally work on myself. I really don't have very much growing time where I am and I am interested in starting things inside during the winter.
You're the only UA-camr I genuinely can't live without I think. I also never comment on anything, but I just have to thank you from the bottom of my heart for bringing me SO much peace and escape in this wild world. You honestly changed the way I perceive the world and for that I'm so grateful. Much love to you Isabel. Also, you have the most beautiful eyes. It's a bliss looking at you❤️
alicia. is it the avatar like cinematography that shines upon (where) she is. she seems to capture the essence of the mountains, wherreas not even main tv can she us that level of depth. with her natural talent in cinema it's like we're seeing more than normal people do ... i wonder if logan will move in to the mountains. We don't see much of her coworkers but she introduced us to them in many sagas ago
Yeah the wood is not stacked properly to begin with. I go through 3 full bush cords every winter - all my wood is stacked properly on skids and covered only on the top.
You have such an amazing gift to make your audience feel rooted and grounded. Even in a bustling city in a high-rise building surrounded by metal, digital and wireless connections and zero signs of nature around me, you somehow make me feel like I am right behind you, bustling in the snow helping you with outside chores. I've never watched a youtube channel that really allowed me to be still and feel like home within myself. I love your vulnerability and your honesty in trusting us to talk about your hardships. It is so relatable and it is just an absolute joy and honour to watch these masterpieces you create. Wishing you love, abundance and joy for your 2022.
For some reason that pausing moment at the end, after taking a breath and then looking back at the camera around 19:30, felt like the most real thing I’ve seen in another person in a minute. We all really do need to just slow down sometimes- I feel your struggle. You’re so real Isabel, and you seriously seriously have inspired me to work harder this past year. Thank you ♥️
Isabel, make sure and hydrate your guitar during the winter. Keep a wet cloth inside of it in an open plastic bag and keep it in a case. Otherwise it will crack. Trust me! I love your life style. Keep it up!
When it's really cold, don't turn your water off completely. Having a trickle of water flowing through the pipes might keep them from freezing. Also, with such exposed pipes, you should insulate them, I think.
It's happened to me, with her septic system, the pipes are probably not insulated. Leaving a trickle of water on might cause an ice jam in them as each trickle freezes on contact.
I absolutely LOVE the shots of you walking in the snow with that lantern. It just takes me back to my childhood, reading children's books where some one is lighting their way with a lantern. It's magical, it's artistic, it's metaphoric as someone finding their way in the darkness and it just makes me want to be part of the experience! Thank you so much for that!
I watched this snuggled up in bed with my two cats on my freezing boat while the fire got going. It was so nice to know others do the same ♥️ This video was beautiful, but the most important thing is to stay safe! Sending love to everyone
-I so admire u, Isabel, for being such a brave & strong woman living all by yourself in a place far away from neighbors, doing everything, even the most difficult chores. I love the most beautiful scenery that u always feature in your vlogs, your personal thoughts & feelings that are mostly positive & pleasant and thereby inspiring & uplifting to your followers/subscribers. Thank you and may God constantly guide & protect you, most abundantly bless you and fill your heart with His great peace, hope, love & joy.
love your art, isabel. it's never enough for me. i've never liked the cold, but you're teaching me how beautiful it is. another lesson i needed. keep warm and enjoy the rest. a biiiiiiig hug from Spain :)
Small project suggestion: make yourself a belt or harness for pulling the sled for your groceries. It would be way more comfortable pulling that thing so far. Love the videos!
“Dreaming of being cold, it’s so amazing” Words my soul speaks daily. I cannot deal with the heat of summer, the cold of winter is what makes my heart warm.
Thanks for affirming that I don’t have to love summer. It brings a slow death every year and it’s always the cold that wakes me up. As a former cold-dweller (MN->IN, yr 3) I can say the snow is necessary. The struggle is necessary.
Than you Isabel, you have been an amazing inspiration to me past year. You helped me to love my life. Watching your videos, I feel as if I have entered another world, a world of peace, joy and freedom and I forget all human worries. I really appreciate you and what you do. Love you.♥
Question and suggestion: How do you wash laundry and bathe in the winter? 🤔 Also you should film a Q&A for us during these cold winter months! We love you and you’re awesome!!!
There's vids her going to bathe in the river in the winter. One i saw she axed out a section of ice and then bathed from that. Other times she has slipped all the way in, in the cold. Wim Hof would be proud. Brrrrr.
2021, can be defined as your “coming of age” year. We’ve watched you Isabel grow tremendously into the well rounded, grounded, loving and awe inspiring woman that we all have gotten to know and love. As always we here will always want the best for you. Stay safe beautiful. 💐
I love to watch you do everyday boring stuff like making coffee, lighting your woodstove, cooking, enjoying the snow, reading a book, it's very comforting. ❄❄⛄🌞
That's an intense amount of snow - time for snowshoes! Isabel, you bring back so many memories for me. We would haul our groceries uphill for a couple of miles on a toboggan and using backpacks. Once, we didn't return to late in the evening and the eyes in the forest were glaring and waiting. The meal we had that evening tasted so heartwarming. Winter time is the slowing down mode and time for planning the garden. Stay safe and warm! ❄🏂
Isabel, the ending breath you did with us was something I really needed. It really helped me release stuff from this past year, thank you so much. This video was beautiful😊
The middle of this video when you're talking about the difficulties you had after the studio was finished was so relatable to me. My work is highly seasonal in how busy and stressful it is, and every year when it abruptly slows down, I struggle with anxiety and come up with all these projects to do. I have to remind myself every day that it's okay to have this extended period of relative calm and quiet, and in order to function during the busy season I *need* to relax and take it easy during the slow season.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate you Isabel, I always have to remind myself when watching your magical videos that you put twice the effort in when capturing these scenic and truly empowering shots. Im always so grateful/ shocked at the extra effort you put into these angles at which you film these videos, taking into account the effort of placing the camera, then re tracing your steps, then once agin going back to get the camera. You are truly a super human and bring so much joy and warmth to my life and many others, I can't thank you enough for these truly amazing and freeing videos, stay safe out there and be free. Lots of love Paris
You amaze me each and every time I watch your videos. As I am way older and can only dream of the things you do, I watch and live through your eyes. You are an amazing women. Thank you for being you. Much love to you and yours
Wow, that is so much snow! So beautiful! Also, the bravery and courage it takes to hike alone in the mountains in the snow and dark out...so inspiring to get out of my comfort zone, push past the uncertainties and really live. Thanks Isabel, stay safe out there!
Watching those snow clips and knowing she had to trudge through even more snow than were seeing to get these beautiful angles. Girl you are a phenomenal artist
When she says it was so hard to get up and go up the hill but was super happy when she does is our biggest struggle. It's generally that first step that we don't want to take for whatever reason that keeps us from our goals (whether they're big or small) Taking that first step and accomplishing that task feels so rewarding and lead to better habits. :)
I was surprised to hear what a tough year you had. I think you accomplished so much and Logan and the Kitties added richly to your beautiful life. Wishing you continued strength under life's adversities 💪💓
I missed your videos, but realize now how much you needed that break. You seem stronger and rested. Last year was hard for a lot of us. Taking that long breath with you actually helped. Thank you.
Check list to make Isabelle's life a little easier in the winte. Heat tape for water pipes and tap. Snowmobile for getting back and forth to vehicle transport supplies and emergencies. (Pole barn for the snowmobile) And maybe some snowshoes and ski poles would be helpful. 😁
I was thinking the same thing. Especially the heat tape for the pipes and snow blower. I know that she would like to be off grid and self sustaining but some conveniences are worth cheating a bit.
@@pj1000ify I corrected my wording a bit I had said snow machine and a snowblower is a machine that moves snow I know to well but I ment snow mobile it would make life so much easier to go back and forth to her car and pull her sled full of supplies. The native Alaskans and eskimos use them all the time for winter travel and hunting.
@@AngieNic I sure would I don't know what kind of communication abilities she has their but a quick way out if you couldn't walk well a snowmobile would be handy.
so true about winter, it is time for us when we should just relax, pamper ourselves and be cosy. I love all 4 seasons each one has a different purpose for us!
Something so magical about where you live, looks straight out of a fairytale. Take it easy you worked so hard for it all summer, sending warm thoughts! 🌞
Helpful tip: try fashioning a harness that fits around your chest and lengthen the rope on the sled. It will make snow walks with groceries much more easier for you and the body. I learned this in winter survival training when we had to pack everything on a sled and walk to different locations with snowshoes. The harness just spread out the weight and made life much more easier with it just dragging right behind you.
Love watching your videos,is like watching myself, I live en the forest in a barn surrounded by roses and vines, love the peacefulness and solitude of the forest, thank you for sharing your life with the world
WOW! What an enchanting place you live in - that river and the blue glow from the snow. What a winter wonderland. I think hibernation is the best thing for the winter - enjoy the downtime and kick in with spring.
Isabel ... I find inspiration in what you share. I too find the cold exhilarating & love the snow & felt happy for you as you revel in the cold & snow. :) Snuggling with your kitties is the sweetest. Blessings, Kellie :)

Girl! Your childlike wonder is AMAZING and truly an inspiration to our world in the state it’s in. The simplicity of your life is revolutionary in our times! Thank you for sharing your wonderful self!
You do have one more project to do and it's kind of important...you really really do need to build a woodshed....if you can attatch it to the tiny house in some way then that would be ideal so that when winter comes you're not walking through 2ft of snow and carrying it back home...also as you now have less things to do you can now precut your wood over the course of the summer, just a couple of hours a day between you and Logan and it will soon be done...again the last thing you want to be doing in sub zero temperatures is cutting wood like we saw in this video
So glad to see you have gotten some winter gear to wear on all your outings! That property is so awesome with the mountains, trees, river & all.. just mesmerizing. My fiancé & I took a road trip almost a year ago now. We saw tons of fresh snow and a few snow storms in CO, MT, SD. That trip really made me fall absolutely in love with it all. There’s just something about it! I miss it so bad. Much love from Alabama.
Thank you Isabel for the mountain top experience. 2021 was a challenging year. It was such a thoughtful moment to inhale, reflect and get rid of the negativity. Looking forward to your next adventure- whatever it may be.

She is special indeed 🙂
great video and that thumbnail is epic! Wish we had these icy cold winters in Scotland - it gets cold, but not as much as you guys get
Kabocha is my fav veggie. Once I discovered it I was done. I don’t even remove the skin, once it’s cooked the skin is soft and tastes great.
Maybe consider a wood shed. That way the wood is cut and dry and ready to use for winter :)
Great idea !
Thank you ♥️
how far away from her parents house is she this time?...lmao...
@@randyrittenhouse859 Does it matter? Not to most of her supporters 😁.
I love the view of the mountains and the snow in the background while you are filming. It has a beautiful light blue hue to it. So beautiful!
You're right. You can insulate the pipes and build a small encasement around it to help protect it from cold weather and environment.
We had a pump house, build a shed right on top of the well, was like a dog house, never had frozen pipes, heavily insulated door and walls.
It's happened to me, with her septic system, the pipes are probably not insulated. Leaving a trickle of water on might cause an ice jam in them as each trickle freezes on contact.
my first thought too...the outside pipes can be insulated well, and an electric heat wrap can be surrounding it that will keep them from freezing.
Her water is in a storage tank so the "trickle" technique would just waste water.
“Dreaming of being cold, it’s so amazing”
Words my soul speaks daily.
Can't believe how cold it got in the Cascades this winter. Glad you and the kittens are safe and warm.
From what I can gather, she built the tiny house on her parents land, they have a house, my guess is they do laundry in that house.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

So welll Said!
Happy New Year 🥳🥳🥳
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow I’m actually surprised she doesn’t have a snow vehicle I never even thought of that. Would be beneficial
@@AngieNic I’m thinking this winter is looking a little colder and rougher. That snow is looking pretty darn deep.
so true about winter, it is time for us when we should just relax, pamper ourselves and be cosy. I love all 4 seasons each one has a different purpose for us!
I am grateful for you Isabel and your beautiful spirit. Love you.
Something so magical about where you live, looks straight out of a fairytale. Take it easy you worked so hard for it all summer, sending warm thoughts! 🌞
Hi Dakota. Happy New Year and best of luck in 2022.
@@FlamingBasketballClub thank you, hope you have a great year!

Hi how r u
Helpful tip: try fashioning a harness that fits around your chest and lengthen the rope on the sled. It will make snow walks with groceries much more easier for you and the body.
I learned this in winter survival training when we had to pack everything on a sled and walk to different locations with snowshoes. The harness just spread out the weight and made life much more easier with it just dragging right behind you.
I was thinking the same! Such a good tip
Isabel is the epitome of peace & love
The fact you can tolerate freezing temperatures and having coffee in the snow just seems like such a mentally theruptic moment. Thank you for sharing your amazing content with us 🤗
Beautiful, God is good, he's such a wonderful creator, all the snow, mountains and trees, absolutely gorgeous 😍. Thank you for the content and sharing all this beauty with us. Praying you have a blessed year ahead 🥰
I love watching your hikes up the mountains. I thought I saw the lights from your cozy little home at a distance just before you enjoyed your hot beverage. Thank you so much for sharing Isabel 🙏🏼❤️
What a beautiful and perfect weekend evening to just watch Isabel's vlog amid my feverish body, you are just a pure soul. L9ve always Isabel ❤
Get feeling better
Girl! Your childlike wonder is AMAZING and truly an inspiration to our world in the state it’s in. The simplicity of your life is revolutionary in our times! Thank you for sharing your wonderful self!
Wow your videos always make me feel so happy and grateful. I'm very grateful for you! Thank you Isabel and good luck with all that snow omg!
Hut, mountains, snow, nature.
The sweetness of simplicity in life!!
I appreciate winter so much more after seeing this. So relaxing and cozy. Love from Canada! 🇨🇦
Thank you Isabel, always such a pleasure to watch 💜 xx
Love watching you.I swear your blogs lower my blood pressure, Many thanks!!
I love this video. No big projects needed Isabel 🥰 Just the regular winter stuffs are already amazing to watch.
I started watching your videos last year and from then till now, I don't miss a single video. It gives me so much peace and motivation for my work. So glad to have you in this world, you make it a better place to live❤

Amazing video, I felt you seemed so calm, so connected with yourself, in this alone winter time, thank you for the inspiration as usual!
The sound of your coffee grinding ritual is such a nice warm comfy feeling to watch.
And no one does it better than you so far so good. Happy New Year!
Loved this update Isabel, I felt the energy with you. Before watching your video I had written my gratitude list for today, no coincidence you were in it. xx
Seriously, I love eveything about this channel and I love everything about Isabel. She is so full of life and I find that SO inspiring. ♡
Fascinating Lifestyle. Keep doing your thing, Isabel. 😊👍
Right? Izzy is the best. Lol. We love you
It'd be been a few months since I'd been back to the channel but I saw Hannah's video about staying with you and was amazed at how much the garden was flourishing and to see you building a new space (the studio). It's really nice to see you again :)
That was such a great release, thank you Isabel. Sometimes a little reminder to release is what we need; it felt great!🥰 Please stay safe and enjoy pampering yourself and those cute kitties.
Yes!!! happy to see a new video!! who loves Isabel energy!?🙋♀💞
I loved this vlog! Being grateful is something we all need to be, right? Oh I have a project for you (when you feel the need to do something!) perhaps you could wrap your pipes with insulation so they don’t freeze in your home. Beautiful vlog. Missed seeing them. Take time for relaxation....that too is important. I love those mountains they remind me of B.C in Canada where my son and my sister live. Happy New Year!
Every time I watch your videos, I feel so much better. Thank u for the motivation. 🙏 so grateful
Hi how r u
It’s always hard to wait till the part when you start cooking...love to watch and LISTEN...nothing like all those sounds of the prep!!
I am an Australian, who has experienced very little of being able to live in a wild and snow covered lifestyle, but you have shown me that resilience and fortitude can make a life experience in an extreme environment, fulfilling. I appreciate you and your efforts in what you do. I really love your camera work and look forward to checking out your past and future posts on YT. Love your work.
Always a delight watching your videos Isabel, the mountains, the wood stove fire and your kitties 🖤 🤍 stay warm!
Much respect for doing your own thing that brings you happiness.
