The problem is Bajaj could have given it a bigger and newer engine like 250 liquid cooled or even Dominar's one, but being Bajaj, they'll keep it unchanged for next 30 years.
I have Avenger 220 (2019 model) and trust me, its fantastic. I have done Delhi-Dehradun, Delhi-Shimla-Kufri, Delhi-Gwalior, Delhi-Agra and on expressways and NHs it give 52-55 kmpl milage @ 70-75 kmph speed, along with superb comfort. In chaotic Delhi NCR traffic it still gives 42-44 kmpl. 8-9 ghnte ki drive ke baad bhi aisa lgta hai ki kuchh drive kiya hi nhin hai.......seat is extremely comfortable, and spine is straight upward.....thakaan ka koi nishan hi nhin hota.

In Practical Initial Punch and Top speed is better in avenger.....For long trips better to go with avenger 220 cruise with required modifications(If Travelling overnight) and for city and short cruising meteor is fine.

@jeebzareee615 Hi if you have new tyres or never got punctured then put Formula X Gel Based High Speed Puncture Sealant on both of your tubes...and if u prefer solo ride then no need for modification for ur seat as avenger original seat is one of best for rider comfort....though not good enough for pillion.

I have meteor and it is better than Avenger in every aspect except for sitting posture. Avenger is more comfortable than meteor.

I have back problems and mainly cruise for 10km and ride in narrow city 5km. So I think both bike is good but which one is best for ergonomics for someone with back issues would you say? Like on bumpers and overall vibration. I am stuck between choosing avenger or meteor.
Bro....Both bikes are good if we talk about comfort and mainly for highway rides ...I would give a waitage to Avenger for highway rides in terms of less vibration on high speed and comfort.. however in city rides Meteor has better choice...along with better Royal Enfield services.. recently my father was with me at pillion seat on Avenger first time and he gave me feedback that really I didn't feel bumpers and he was very happy with it ...at last as you asked to summarise the hole story ..I would say Avenger cruise is really highway king even if you touch 125 kmph ....and meteor is good for ride but between 80-90...kmph ..and in city meteor is better in terms of handling...as Avenger needs more space what I think...at last both are good however Meteor has better after sales service....

Meteor and avenger me kisme legs zyada stretched hai ? Maine avenger chalaya and leg position thodi zyada forward lagi and seat thodi zyada peeche. This causes problem jab traffic me chala rahe hote avenger ko. Is it same with meteor?

Braking is good avenger cruise 220 but recently i met with an accident where the other vehicle was crossing in front of me towards a oneway no entry road and i was driving around 40+ kmph, i had to break immediately first thing which happened was bike skidded and as a experienced rider of Avenger bikes from last 7 years i already knew this will happen😂😂i was seated throughout the skid and tried to keep the bike moving straight while skidding and i crashed a little bit to the bike rider who was crossing in front of me😐 Avenger is a Failed cruiser Bike when it comes to stability and braking, bike will skid on slightly bad roads for no reason, front tire will always skid in dusty and wet roads while applying only front brakes no matter with ABS or without ABS, and very important point Bike will 200% Skid if you drive in on the Lane dividing Gaddhe which is exclusive here in Mumbai roads, lane divide karne wali Patli Gaddhe wali line ke upar se Chalane pe gadi skate hojati hai 20-30 ki speed pe hamesha slow speeds pe, Rear brakes are Drum brakes which are very ineffective unless you press them like you are kicking someone😂 and they will skid if you try to brake slight urgently at speeds above 40, i have never fell off the bike while braking always managed to skid like a bollywood stunt😂😂its quite habitual now, its a serious issue but if you are able to get a grip on its brake's sensitivity Front ABS + Rear Brake,(i always use front abs because it is very very powerful if you know its sensitivity and using them on Clean Dry Road) , Another thing is Combination of Engine Braking + Front ABS + (Rear Drum Brake only if accidental Emergency) Combo, it is helpful for driving on Express Highways, Engine Braking is Very useful for Mumbai Mohammad Ali Road Traffic😂 bizzare Crowd on Road during Ramadan or any cultural event especially ramadan 🙄 Most Difficult Traffic on the Planet
Bro...I do agree with your experience...I had the same experience in Feb this year on that day I rode my bike at speed of 125 plus however while coming back I met with an accident at the speed of hardly 15kmph I was in street and got skid suddenly after applied break...and it was really tough time for me .. thanks for sharing your experience
@@DesiCruiseDC Yes , we see instant breaking videos on internet but reality is avenger skids on hard braking, or normal braking at very low speeds, there is a limit for hard pressing brakes at every different speeds or else you will skid, and you can learn these limits only by experiencing bike skids 😂🤣 so avenger has good brakes but no support for emergency braking, you will skid if you do so 😭 you have to drive keeping in mind that you need to keep appropriate distance to give time for braking
I owned one 220 2012 model blue colour for 6 years, I have experienced skidding on the front brake many times. Replaced it with dominar 400 when it came out. But honestly I miss avi alot the ride position and comfort was really really good.

Bro....it is not easy in streets as really you need to apply more efforts however in city roads once you make habit you can ride easily....I have made a video where i rode it in a very busy roads of Delhi and it so easy....but yes little efforts required 👍👍...for small cities it is tough due to narrow roads...
