Knitter's Life | The Moth Episode

- This is not one of my regular 'update' episodes, but one where I talk about that dreaded pest we all fear: clothes eating moths (aka webbing moths, Tineola bisselliella, and/or case making moths).
I have had two infestations over the past few years. I have researched and learned so much in the process of dealing with them. I have tried to pull together all the info I learned and set up an episode that addresses what to do when you have an infestation, and what to do to prevent an infestation.
I didn't cover this in the episode, but in both cases, the first sign I knew I had clothes eating moths were tiny holes in my knits. After seeing holes, I looked a little more closely at other wool knits and found adults, larvae, and eggs. A true horror story!!
I hope this episode helps you deal with your own problem, and prevent any moths in your stash and other woollie items. Sources I used are listed below. Some are specific to one part of the problem, but you may find it helpful to read as much as you can find on the topic. These will give you a good start.
