Hey hey hey, how are you guys doing? I really hope everyone is good and healthy and getting through the shitpocalypse of 2020-2021 without too much stress :(.
Speaking of apocalypses... yeah, this one was long time coming :d. So, recently (and by recently I mean many months back) I saw an absolutely brilliant short movie by Neill Blomkamp, who is basically my god and hero and idol in terms of movie making. I LOVE scifi/post-apocalyptic stuff, so of course my mind got stuck on it and I couldn't let it go. The film is called Rakka and I highly recomment you give it a try, because - again - it's fucking incredible (actually, anything he touches turns to gold, so really you should just check the entire Oats productions channel here on YT, if you're a fan of such themes ;p). I borrowed a lot of the story elements for this video, because I saw similarities and potential for a 'crossover' with our boys, although I took way too many liberties to call this a proper -crossover-, hence 'concept trailer' as usual.
Anyway, back to the video. The backstory is quite complicated the way I have imagined it, so I really hope it translated well on screen, because ngl I had trouble trying to come up with an effective way to present it. So hopefully, you will have no problem understanding what's going on, what the characters are doing and the meaning behind their words... But I think I'm probably gonna write down some important plot points later on and if you still find youself confused, you can always ask ;).

Hoseok: a Reborn and part of District 1
Namjoon: spent childhood in District 9 but was reprogrammed/lost memory(?) And now he's the new rebel leader
Jimin: guards District 9 gates and doesn't let anyone leave it
Taehyung: a Reborn and a rebel
Jungkook: part of District 1, Jin's younger brother but secretly supports rebel factions. Provides the Suicide Mission equipment(?)
Edit: so Jimin can control minds or get inside of them. Probably even the Klums?
I love the dynamic between VMIN cuz they're literal enemies here.
Jin: has good intentions and somehow wants to live together with the aliens
Jungkook: that invisible man running is him!

@@saadiatabassum1927 I think the opressed (D#9) are rebelling against the system, so their intention might be freedom. And here comes Jin, one who lives in luxury and wants to protect it, but he seems like he has some sort of plan to live in symbiosis. His intentions seem good but the system is D#1 isn't. This is what I got. 🤔

The fact that V was being controlled by Jimin gave me goosebumps! It already shows there and the sign of control is the butterfly emerging beside V and then Jimin said 'perfect'.

*Jin* : Reborn Leader of District 1 and is the commander who is gunning after the rebels. Seem cold but just wants his people the best even if it means turning a blind eye to those who are suffering in District 9 like Omelas.
*Namjoon* : Born in District 9 but had gone under experiment and the science tried to reprogram him but the rebels bailed him out and now is the new leader of the rebels/ or he was the leader of rebels but got captured and got experimented on.
*Suga* : a member of the rebels or the new leader of the rebels. Fearless and daring. he might have been reborn and was shipped off to District 9 because he wanted freedom more than anything and tried to rebel from the inside of District 1. His power is to influence others.
*J-hope* : an innocent reborn District 1 citizen or is he? Could have been an experiment of the Klums and may be spying on the humans but he probably is obvious to that. May try to fight off the Klums' control.
*Jimin* : The gate guardian. Cruel and manipulative. He is reborn with the power to control others' minds and his favorite pet to play with is Taehyung. He probably even can control the minds of Chimeruns which makes him even more dangerous.
*Taehyung* : was born in District 9 and was probably born from slaves but a wild chimerun's goo made him reborn but since he was a slave from District 9 the Klums didn't wanted him in District 1 so they made him Jimin's slave and he used Taehyung to make him do his dirty works and control him. Taehyung is talented in combat and can use a twin blade. He can teleport and is super fast and deadly. He got out of Jimin's claw and joined the rebels. Unfortunately, he has a sister and Jimin uses her to lure him out.
*Jungkook* : Brother of Jin but supports the rebels. The goo made him super smart so he uses that to create weapons which he supplies to the rebels. He knew Suga before he was shipped off to District 9. He too was probably shipped off to District 9 after Jin found out about his betrayal. But he is important to the Klums due to his brain so the chimeruns won't let him go easily and chases him.
*CAMEOS*
*Stray kids* : Criminals who got shipped to District 9 and probably rules it.
*Beakhyun* : A Reborn who wants to be a Rebel.

Then the code can be used to replace any person's face in a video/picture with the person's face that got mapped. I hope that helps! I'm no expert on it, so these are only the basics of what it is.

The lighting, the colors you matched, it all looks like a one whole trailer that was made in Hollywood! I'm really in awe at this, even Namjoon's speech is used in such way that mesmerized me - I wouldn't have ever come up with something like this.

DUDE, this kind of storytelling is really reminiscent of books where you aren't entirely sure what's going on during the first 1/4 of the book and then you just adapt to how randomly spontaneous and chaotic it is. Like the story is kinda all over the place and that's what makes it interesting. Like, you know the main idea, but you have to really get into it to understand just what exactly is going on. EXCELLENT trailer, I don't know where you're planning on going with this, but I look forward to seeing more of it. I'm hooked...

This is truly jaw-dropping editing, I’m almost speechless. The moment I realized it didn’t have a link to a fic I was a little bit devastated bc it’s not often an au fanvid has me on the edge of my seat like that. But I was impressed (but not surprised) that you were able to successfully relay an original story that feels so enormous...
By the end of it I swear it was like I was watching a trailer for a film adaptation of something I was already invested in. I got that thrill of anticipation still thrumming in me as if this’ll eventually be in theaters (it rly is a shame it won’t be). Your work never ceases to impress 👌✨
