      Thanks Dan stop making it hard like I did looking for the elusive holy grail, it’s a ball sitting still and begging to be moved with a tool. All it’s ever been.

    Great video Bill . We only have one back . Once you hurt that it is game over . Well done idea

      Ain’t it the truth Rock. I’ve tried the side bend crap on many occasions and never had the extreme rotation to square the club up as required. Hurt city brother!’n

      If you can’t control it the day becomes very long and your ball bag looses weight fast. Your welcome hope it helps!

    Took VBG to the golf course today. I hit some practice balls following your instructions set up, backswing, neutral grip etc. Played 18holes score about the same but hit the ball
    Straight and consistent I’m going to like it. Thanks

      Short game is where the scores come down Billy. Maybe we should look at a VBG short game process. Thanks my friend and stay on the track!!!.

    Bill are you saying you square the club face by rotating the body? I've always rotated my lead
    forearm and wrist to square the club. I'm not saying this is wrong. Learning all the time.
    Thank you.

    • @Wooduck
      @Wooduck  Рік тому

      Most of us can’t square the club face with body rotation as the pros always do. Why, we are not flexible enough to rotate our bodies, that’s a fact. The only way to square the face up is as you do with rotating the forearms. That takes very good timing to do on a consistent manner. I suggest you learn what I call the turning point which not only squares the club face to the target line but also adds speed to the tool. The pros do this except for them it’s at the ball because they have already rotated their body enough to square the club, what they always referred to as side bend, then come the turning point at the ball. We on the other had have to hit our turning point much earlier in the downswing. I talk about it in the vids, learn to do that and the club will shoot out to the ball and be square to the target line. You can’t do it by pulling the handle or rotating the forearms. Hope that helped.

    Some of this sounds like Don Trahan.

      Does it matter Allen? As I’ve said before it’s all been done before somewhere by someone else. My reasons for doing it is as I explained Dons reasons may be a little different but if you like what he does I would suggest you watch him also. I know all he teaches, up the tree down the tree put it in the catchers mitt etc. Don information would be a good one to build a golf swing on as well as what I’m saying as well. We both may be saying
      The same things but using different verbiage and reasons for our instructions. Thanks and good observation , maybe between the both of us you can own your motion, that’s what it’s all about anyway.

    I have a playing partner that has that exact swing pattern. I call it an all upper body punch at the ball. He is a senior like myself that has played hockey all his life and he thinks that all it takes is a slap shot. If it works then have at it. Trouble is he gets distance but not consistent accuracy or control. This slap shot method is too violent for my 75 year old back, nor is it good for his worn out shoulders but he doesn’t want to change.The older we get, the more stubborn we seem to get.🥴

      Ain’t it the truth Richard. I bought a hot tub which hasn’t been wired up yet and I hope it takes care of some of my aches and pains. Neck lower back are always bothering me now days.

    Ok, I was skeptical after viewing a few of these videos because I was never taught to lift the club straight up! I went outside and hit a few balls with the driver and 5 iron into my golf net. I focused on pushing the right shoulder back and taking the club straignt back from the ball which naturally moved the club to the inside. No strain on the back (which I injured a few years ago with the rotary style swing). I hit solid feeling shots with both the 5 iron and driver. I then tested the driver speed with my swing speed analyzer and hit 104 MPH (pretty good for 73 y/o) I’m not sure if I’m doing this exactly correctly but it sure felt easy

      @Wooduck  Рік тому +1

      Hey Ken if it feels easy your probably doing it correct. 104 swing speed tells indicates to me the arms are now actually swinging freely. Good for you sir, just stay out of the rabbit holes and stick to the early traveled VBG highway!!!

    What happened to folding the club?

    • @Wooduck

      If you noticed the club comes out to the ball naturally with the VBG golf motion.

    So follow through on the transverse plain also right?

    • @Wooduck
      @Wooduck  Рік тому

      Yes sir KB if you break that plain your rotating and swinging left which would be deemed an out of balance follow through. Make sense?

    Sir I have really enjoyed your teaching. But I'm confused have you gone away from your folding the club and releasing your hands? Please help me to understand. You did make it real simple with your other vids. Am I one of those morons?

    • @Wooduck
      @Wooduck  Рік тому

      No your not a moron Leo. When you perform
      VBG correctly the club head will come out to the ball just as I showed in the other vids.
      The folding vids just highlighted what really happens to deliver the head to the ball. Don’t worry about it just do as I have described and
      The club head will travel to the ball.
