Yeah, it’s more of a wives’ tale that I heard from my friends (and my mom, lol). I do think in certain applications, it’s okay. Builds the immune system. But not if it’s on like a well-traversed floor or something 😅 Clean floor at home? Yeah. Rinsed off after falling onto dirt? Sure. Next to the tables outside on the playground? The safety might be debate but I definitely did it anyways. The school floor? I mean, maybe? If you know it gets regularly cleaned. Again depends on how young and/or reckless you are. Once my friend (who is also my ‘friend’) ate food that fell on the carpet floor of the our college department’s lobby. I did not kiss him that night 😂. Probably would’ve been fine if it were on the regular floor, but those carpets are NASTY (did you know that weird-patterned carpets are used in public spaces because they disguise dirt best?) It also depends on circumstance in general, considering how reckless or contamination-paranoid I am… it’s weird though: I some days I could probably eat food off the floor but have to wash my hands 3 times in a row lol. Funnily enough, I’ll eat week-old food while my friend (not the one mentioned earlier) can’t eat leftovers at ALL (like, not even a day. Does mean you get free leftovers when eating lunch with him, lol) but he isn’t worried about the washing hands thing more than a normal person. Funny how brains work that way. However, airports, doctor’s offices, bathrooms, or questionable-looking floors? Never. Absolutely not. Edit: I would also like to mention that the “good for the immune system” only works for certain things. Please wash your hands regularly, ESPECIALLY after going to the bathroom. Idgaf if you touched anything or not, wash them. Also don’t expose your kids to sick people on purpose. Vaccines do that, but more safely and without the chance of your kid dying or being permanently affected (yes, vaccine injuries do sometimes happen, but it’s important to note that they happen at a minuscule rate compared to the complications one can face if they get the disease, not to mention the importance of herd immunity, and vaccines are regulated strongly and go through a lot of testing and they actively work to try to make them better. Some people need to research what life was like before the polio vaccine).
goldfish are actually pretty smart, live long lives, and can get really big. they just have a reputation for being small and dying immediately because people keep them improperly in those torture bowls
Piranhas are an omnivorous fish species that do not usually aggress humans, unless in times of drought, the fish defending its brood, or when they are characteristically aggressive during their breeding season (from October to March), and normally by male piranhas. Fortunately, the victims of an attack in most cases survive, with just a single bite per victim. More than 200 piranha attacks on people are recorded every year. (PiranhaGuide) Five people were killed and 20 injured in separate attacks by piranhas in Paraguay in 2022, causing concern among locals, reports New York Post.
Piranhas aren't a single speices. When people say Piranha their talking about red bellied Piranha and black Piranha which are exclusive carnivores. Herbivore Piranha speices like the black pacu exist as well
Not true about Piranhas. There’s cases in Brazil where they attack humans. Their diets consists of other fish, small aquatic animals and occasionally carrion/decaying meat.
ehh... The piranha one is partially true, there are things called "sand piranhas" (they're extremely small, but hurt alot) and they wash up in puddles and rock pools alot, as soon as your hand, feet ir anything on your body enters the water theyll attack, and they break skin really fast.
Once saw someone that trained goldfish to push around a mini soccer ball You'd think there was treats in the ball, but actually not Don't ask me how it works ;-;
Ohh no... Me and my friends heard about the five second rule, thought that was too short of a time, and now half the school uses the 5 MINUTE rule. (it was a bad idea)
i had these goldfish in an outdoor pond and i taught them little tricks, and over the winter the pond froze and they hibernated, and next spring and summer they still remembered
I’m going to go up to someone I know and be like “Hey do you think Mount Everest is the tallest mountain” -“uh ya” *places down stool or stands on tippy toes* (depends on how tall the person is) “I’m taller than you”
Fun fact: goldfish have a higher attention span than humans For comparison: Humans average attention span: 8 seconds Goldfish average attention span 9.5 seconds
from sea level to peak yes from base to peak it’s Mauna Kea and farthest from the center of the earth is a volcano in Ecuador (earth rotates so it’s larger at the equator)
my five second rule is: if it leaves a mark on the floor, then the floor left a mark on the food and of course I would never eat anything off the floor of somewhere that isn't my house
Yea,but (and correct me if I'm wrong) I'm pretty sure they didn't teach us that mount everest is the highest "mountain",they said it's the highest "mountain peak",so I don't think that one counts
There is a species of larger piranhas that are far more aggressive some time in the Amazon a ferry crashed in a storm and there were only like 2 survivors and they said that it went from screams to silence in a matter of minutes because groups of the piranhas wear attacking the people and dragging they into the water
Piranhas will attack you but only if you get too close disturb them or their really hungry so just don’t fall into a pool of underfed piranhas and you will be fine
Thing is mount Everest is the highest mountain but not the tallest. So even if there are bigger mountains from base to peak it's still the highest point on Earth
We actzally tested the 5 sec rule in school, its not lile no bacteria goes on the thing you dropped but until 5 sec its so little, that it doesent matter
I really hope no schools genuinely taught the 5 second rule; it was more just something my friends and I did

Honestly, I just eat it anyways
I mean if it isn't taught how does the whole world know it? (My school did the 3 second rule as a genuine thing aswell)
@@Nol.I aint readin' all that

Changes the definition of “Memory of A Goldfish”
Haha. I win. See I WON ALL OF THE GAMES!
Goldfish have better memory than me
Mount Everest also gets the boost cause it sits on the Himalayas at 17,000 feet
bros actually hacking
I can't with these American measurements
goldfish are actually pretty smart, live long lives, and can get really big. they just have a reputation for being small and dying immediately because people keep them improperly in those torture bowls
Ye
Nah, they just bad prts
The five second rule is just something I use so i can still eat my food after dropping it without being called disgusting
Fr
Honestly same 😭
I don’t even care how long foods been on the ground. If it looks and smells fine I’ll eat it even if it’s been a month
Memory of a squirrel is probably better than goldfish now

dawg what teacher taught you the 5 second rule 😭😭😭
I commented this too lol 😆
Someone else commented that it was just things we were taught in school which includes things other people told you like your friends
Mount Everest isnt taller but it is higher
Teachers don't teach the five second rule, students do
Not true about Piranhas. There’s cases in Brazil where they attack humans. Their diets consists of other fish, small aquatic animals and occasionally carrion/decaying meat.

Those aren't actually phirahnas though
Well for mt Everest you're probably just remembering wrong, bc most textbooks say "it's the highest elevated mountain" which is true
Goldfish have better memories than me
Wait piranhas aren’t deadly. Welp i guess my 14 years of living have been a lie
I believe in the five second rule because I don’t wanna waste food
The mt everest one one messed me up
Once saw someone that trained goldfish to push around a mini soccer ball
You'd think there was treats in the ball, but actually not
Don't ask me how it works ;-;
Yeah, Piranhas almost never eat anything bigger than themselves unless they're literally starving.
Good news! I no longer have the memory of a goldfish!
Bad news i don't have the memory of a goldfish
We just do the five second rule because it's an excuse to eat something you dropped
Da bacteria waiting five seconds to go onto my fries:

Guys he said facts that were taught in school, not necessarily by teachers. The five second rule is something you'd be taught by friends or classmates
The peak of Mount Everest is still the highest elevation place on the whole planet. That's why it's the tallest mountain.
from sea level to peak yes
from base to peak it’s Mauna Kea
and farthest from the center of the earth is a volcano in Ecuador (earth rotates so it’s larger at the equator)
@@Master_Lobster I'm sorry, but do you know what elevation is?
@@allengrove1864 no i dont but tell me if what I said disagrees with your opinion, if it does then sorry
@@Master_Lobster Elevation is literally distance from sea level.
@@allengrove1864 thanks, so yes the highest elevation is Mount Everest but Mount Everest isn’t the tallest mountain
They never told us highest mountain, they told us tallest peak.
This is relatable fr😂
Bears don't technically hibernate
Multiple months? That’s their entire lifespan
Goldfish probably have a better attention span than us after the invention of short form content
"Moona Kea" 💀
Goldfish have a longer attention span then the average Gen Alpha 💀
This makes me hate school more
And the mountain closest to space is Chimborazo in Ecuador due to how the earth is wider at the equator
Off topic but my ELA teacher has a fish in her class named swim shady lol
Mythbusters did the 5 second rule they found it true if the item dropped is dry like crackers or bread but not with wet items like lunch meat
Goldfish has longer attention span than humans nowadays
Mountains are pretty cool 👍
"Goldfish can remember things for months" Oh so i am dumber than a goldfish
"ok there pretty dumb but... Not THAT dumb" my parents to every teacher
Dude even I cant remember something from a month ago 😭😭😭
The cut off gets me every time 😭🤚
How about that one guys goldfish who beat the hardest boss in Elden ring
I cud barely beat Margot
The goldfish that played Elden ring:
who told bro schools teach the 5 sec rule 💀
my five second rule is: if it leaves a mark on the floor, then the floor left a mark on the food
and of course I would never eat anything off the floor of somewhere that isn't my house
Are you sure that’s not a volcano! 🌋
Don’t diss my dawg Darwin 🗣️🔥🐟
The difference is that unlike you standing on the ladder, Mt everest is always higher above sea level than any other mountain.
Yea,but (and correct me if I'm wrong) I'm pretty sure they didn't teach us that mount everest is the highest "mountain",they said it's the highest "mountain peak",so I don't think that one counts
Correction: Mauna Loa, a volcano right next to Mauna Kea, is a little taller from its base. You're close, though.
Human attention span: 8.25 seconds
Goldfish attention span: 9 seconds
(Source: one yt comment with no proof to back it up)
What most people get wrong is that Mt. Everest is not the tallest mountain in the world, but rather is the highest point in the world
Still not true. The closest mountain to space is Mount Chimborazo in Ecuador due to the Earth's equatorial bulge.
Ah yes "mouna kea"
Who was tonight the five second rule in school 😂
One Goldfish beat Elden Ring 💀
5 second rule is just an excuse to eat food from the ground
Let me eat my Oreo off the ground idc if the 5 second rule is fake LET ME EAT MY OREO
lol 😂
I like the part when he says months
MT Everest is even shorter cause it sits on the Tibetan plateau
Bro the five second rule is a goddam joke why you gotta be ruining it 😭
If the 5-second rule was taught to you at school I'm so sorry for you
I haz 2 goldfish and I can confirm they smart. :)
There is a species of larger piranhas that are far more aggressive some time in the Amazon a ferry crashed in a storm and there were only like 2 survivors and they said that it went from screams to silence in a matter of minutes because groups of the piranhas wear attacking the people and dragging they into the water
is no one gonna talk about how he’s pronouncing Mauna Kea?
Mauna kea is pronounced mah ooh nah Kay uh just faster, but that was overall better pronunciation than most other Hawaiian words being mispronounced
Who taught you the 5 second rule in school??? 😭😭😭
Your friends
Piranhas will attack you but only if you get too close disturb them or their really hungry so just don’t fall into a pool of underfed piranhas and you will be fine
Thing is mount Everest is the highest mountain but not the tallest. So even if there are bigger mountains from base to peak it's still the highest point on Earth
Just one thing, Mount Everest is not on the chair, it's one with the chair
29,000 feet is Mt. Everest from SEA LEVEL to peak, Mt. Everest from base to peak is more like 12,000 feet
Thats why its a rule not science we MUST pick it up if its within 5 seconds
Yeah, I had a dream about perana’s trying to eat me
you learned the 5 sec rule IN SCHOOL? omg wtf DID you actually learn in school
We actzally tested the 5 sec rule in school, its not lile no bacteria goes on the thing you dropped but until 5 sec its so little, that it doesent matter
That just ruined the best scene from wednesday 😂
Other thing! Red, yellow and blue arent primary colors. Instead, its magenta, cyan and yellow!
so my attention span is even worse than a goldfish that’s crazy
Mount Everest is the higher than the mountain in Hawaii so really Hawaii is the one cheesing it
Also piranhas can kill living animals as long as one misidentifies you for dead
The correct thing to say would be that mt. Everest is the heighest point on earth
how did he just say Mauna kea. you gotta be kidding right, thers no way thats how he said it omg im dying
Instead of saying to my friends they have a memory of a goldfish I tell them they have the memory of a dead rat
I think that mt Everest is on the Himalayan mountain range so that’s how it so tall
I think rj just made this video to flex that he met shaq lol
a goldfish beat darksouls yet i can't beat cuphead
yeah like theres lots of stupid stuff you should make a part 2, 3 , 4 , 5 and so on
Add to the slender clear of your mouth. The five second rule does work
Oh Guam we have mount lamalamb I think is how you spell it which is pretty tall as well
Nah man if I have learned anything from ark it's that pirrana are monsters. Who agrees
PLEASE ITS PRONOUNCED Mau-na ke-a
The peranah thing is just movies being dumb, not school
they pretty dum, alr, pretty dum
Moownu Kea😂
bro his shorts always cut off for me, I dont even get to finish the video-😭
So, piranhas are fishy hyenas?
Technically the total height of Mount Everest is only about 16,000 because it sits on top of is he Himalayan mountains
