  • For a little while now I’ve been looking into ultra wide monitors and I wasn’t convinced if the sizes of 40 inches and above are actually comfortable to use. I am sure there are a lot of you out there with the same question.
    For that we have secured two of the widest monitors from local Singaporean company Prism+. There will be a video about each of them, and we are going to start with the latest addition to their ultrawide lineup - P438 (now renamed to PG438). It is a 43.8 inch flat ultrawide monitor featuring IPS panel. Let’s see if size does matter.

      @@A2KMedia By the way quick question. Does the split display feature supports multi source? Like first half sourced from device 1 and the other from device2? Thanks in advance.

    • @A2KMedia
      @A2KMedia  3 роки тому +1

      @@gadgelt it does but I am not too happy with how it splits it. I feel like I am doing something wrong - the aspect ratio becomes somewhat squished.

    Im really concerned about it not being curved, will it seriously impact the immersion in gaming and videos?

    • @A2KMedia
      @A2KMedia  Рік тому

      for immersion I would go with curved - for productivity you gain better colour accuracy from straight. There are trades on both.

    how is it lik when you're watching netflix?

    • @A2KMedia
      @A2KMedia  2 роки тому

      did not try Netflix but from general use it would be ok. Do bear in mind - this is a very wide screen so you will have very big black bars on each side for standard 16:9 aspect ratio shows/movies.

    • @A2KMedia
      @A2KMedia  2 роки тому

      not noticed any ghosting, but this monitor is more focused for creative use where you wouldn't have as much ghosting anyway.

      well to each their own. personally I prefer 1 large screen over two smaller as this keeps the desk much neater.

      For a recording studio, being able to monitor a mixer window with 30+ audio channels without scrolling might be very useful. Color accuracy and resolution aren’t as critical in that role, so it might be a perfect application for this product.
