when I was young I would have really wanted a mark III, so I went to a large shop and tried it on to my great satisfaction. But unfortunately it cost too much for my poor boy's pocket and, on the advice of the seller, I opted for a Carvin xv112 which I still have today and which I love. I'm an amateur, for me mesa will remain just a dream

Nice playing Rich. Knew some guys in the 90's that used Boogie's and they had problems with valves, they weren't cheap to replace at that time. Must admit that they can sound good. Love that Tele though, sounds like one of those go to guitars that is hard to put down.

Killer amp Rich. Sounds great - in the mix, and just straight, too. Got that Boogie vibe going on, and has kind of that early 90s thing going. Cool vid! Great piece of gear for a collection.

In t981 I bought a used Mark IIb. I loved that amp's clean tone and its snap. It felt very musical. Everything sounded good on the stage.

I had a Mark IIb Mesa Boogie back in 1980 and it was a super loud fender deluxe. The cleans were incredibly musical and touch sensitive. This amp is when they started mass producing their hardwired amps. With the Mark IIc+ came the high gain tones. This amp is a more budget friendly amp that is half Mark Series and half high gain. Odd combination but, not bad for an $800 amp.

I’m back to see the hair growth. In the VegaTrem video you were in the Little Lord Fauntleroy phase, looks good.

The title pulled me in like a steamy flick at a drive-in theater....and the intro was just raunchy sir.....

Yeah Man, Those Mesa Boogie amps from the 90's were awesome. They had juicy transformers and yielded a lot of headroom. I have an old 50 Caliber that's too loud to use without breaking the sound barrier. It's a combo so I also use a Mesa Thiele cab loaded with a EVM-12 speaker. Yeah......a bruiser. I bet that DC-2 is a screamer too. Then, I got a 100 watt Dual Rectifier. Then a TC-50. After that I grabbed a Fillmore 50. So, I suppose that the folks at Mesa are still creating more cool products to fit the needs of many. They've recently started building amps for Gibson. Ii wish that those amps had an effects loop, but they are leaning to a more traditional vibe. I love your Kotzen Tele too. Is the neck really fat like a Jeff Beck neck? I've been tempted to order one but the neck size is a mystery to me. Well, hang in there. Your channel is great!

Thanks, yes, the Kotzen has a fat neck! A friend of mine found one on reverb where a guy switched out the neck, though. So it's possible to mod it I guess.

Great video as always. What is the model of the tele and its pickups by the way? It sounds great.

Thanks, it's Richie Kotzen signature. Dimarzio Twang King in the neck and a chopper in the bridge.
