I stayed in halls Year 1 and Year 3. I loved both times and I don’t regret going back into halls for Year 3 because it was so convenient and I made a lot of friends again! However, it’s a cool experience living off campus if you want to try out student housing, it’s not for everyone and some places can be pretty bad for the price but I know so many people who found gems in the student area for decent prices! Won’t be the most glamorous lifestyle but then neither is halls really. If you are interested in Reading Uni then the Student Life website on Reading’s page is super useful for recent updates & things going on around campus - might help you decide!
@@alexololade ahh I see, thanks. So in year 3 you applied individually to return to halls and you were put with other returning students? Also did you at all find it a distraction from your studies being in halls for final year (where there’s the most work) with the noise and all or it was manageable?

Did you stay at halls for all your years at uni? Would you say it’s a better choice than going off campus?
