I agree with you in not enjoying foods because of point value. I stopped enjoying mixed nuts because the points were so high. Having to type in the whole label for a single point value was getting old. The WW I miss I don’t think exists anymore. Great video Danielle
I am so glad these videos were helpful to you. I was feeling the same way always thinking about what I need to make for the next meal. Have a great evening and thank you for watching.💕
Absolutely feel I think more of food as I am working towards my weight loss. I know I need to plan for success, but get overwhelmed with it sometimes 😮
I'm so glad that you enjoy what you're doing I wish that I could do calorie counting but I tend to eat the wrong things when I do so I'm staying on the weight watchers😊
Hi Karen, I totally understand, WW is so good at teaching us how to eat and that is really helpful! Thank you so much for watching, have a great rest of your weekend!
I have been on WW in the past but even with weeklies I have never been successful. I am now on Healthi counting calories and macros and hoping to have success. Also going to try intermittent fasting as well as I do tend to eat late. Thanks for the suggestion!
Thank you so much. I appreciate it Mary. Congratulations on making it to lifetime on Weight Watchers. Nice to have another buddy doing counting calories with me.💕💕
I think in the end I left WW bc they closed their stores/meetings. Everything that made it fun was taken from us. So much easier and more consistent to lose weight with calorie counting as well. 😊
Congrats on the weight loss. I was successful on WW during the PointsPlus era. After that came the huge hit on anything with sugar, which I hated. Then the zero point foods came along & I found I was eating too many calories even if I was within my points. I'm now doing calorie counting on Healthi & watch my protein, carbs & fat.
Hi Lavon, always nice to hear from you. Healthi app is the great bang for your buck, I agree, miss being able to have more sugar on WW, so true! Have a great rest of your weekend!
I joined weight watchers back in 1979-1980 with my best friend. I loved the old program. To this day I have it memorized. Fast forward to today, older, weight has crept back on. I tried weight watchers two years ago. I didn’t like the point system. Anyway, there are two women I follow on UA-cam and Instagram. One of them tried all kinds of diets, the other was on keto. They both starting tracking their macros. Let me tell you the transformation is incredible. And they both said they eat more now than they ever did. One of the ladies is tammysagelessbeauty, and the Second Lady is @janellerohner . Both of them are on UA-cam and Instagram. Love them both.
Could *not* agree more! 👏🏻 LoseIt! is the thing that has worked for me for about 6 years now - when I actually *do* it, that is! 😂 Currently, I'm only fasting a couple times per week and I need to bump it up to at least 5 days. I love that if I eat past, say 7:00 at night, I can just adjust my start time the next day. 🤓 Thank you so much for sharing. ❤
Thanks Danielle. I switched to Loseit too and Im going to give Intermittent fasting because I know others who have had success with it too.I’ve been stuck for a long time so I think why not try it ❤
Let me know how you like it. I felt the same way. I figure I would give it a try so far I like it. It gives me some parameters and it’s really not that hard. You take care.
I’ve done WW for years…I’ve had success on it..made Lifetime (twice!) but I’ve been thinking about doing calorie counting as well…I keep track of my carbs and fiber which helps me. I haven’t tried the intermittent fasting yet…however I eat my snack in the evening about 7:00, and then eat breakfast around 8;00, but I do have a cup of tea when I get up so I’m not sure if that would be considered fasting. I enjoy your channel…I’m glad you’re having success with counting calories. It makes sense to me to do that because calories aren’t going to change, but WW changes their program about every 2-3 years which can be challenging at times. Have a great weekend!
Hi there, I heard you can have plain tea or coffee early in the morning. I have black coffee earlier than 9am. Great that you are tracking your carbs and fiber! Fiber, the most forgotten macro :-) You take care and thank you for watching!
I use the Healthi app which lets me track everything ... points, calories and macros ... all on the same screen. Using the points system means lots of zero point foods. But those foods still contain calories, so at the end of the day what I'm finding is that by the time I hit my calorie goal for the day, I have either gone way over my points or way under. I've discovered that if I eat processed carbs, ie, bread, pizza, etc., I will go over my point goal, but still be on track as far as calories. But if I avoid the processed carbs, I seem to hit my calorie goal while still having many points left. The points system is fine, but at my age (76), losing weight is much harder than at a younger age. I need to stick to a solid calorie level if I want to lose weight. So with the Healthi app, I can implement all the information I need to make sure I achieve weight loss.
I love everything you just said! I agree, that Healthi app is the best bang for your buck! I am so glad you are able to track all the important things and it give you great support. Thank you for watching!
Hi Danielle. I am doing low carb WWs and the Lose It. I'm Lifetime WW so the app is still free for me. I started counting calories last fall and am now 8 lbs. below my WW goal weight. I find counting calories helps me with portion control. I do not do well with WWs zero point foods. I also find I have more flexibility with counting calories. Wishing you success!
Hi there! Low carb sounds fantastic, along with low carb and lose it. Great job on being a lifetime member and below goal weight! I agree, I didn't do well with zero points either, ever under or over ate them. have a great weekend and thank you!
Hi Danielle, I enjoyed yours and Dee’s collab. It’s such a freedom counting calories and macros. I needed to stop counting points or bites as I would always go over them then feel badly about it, yet my calories were too low. You’re doing great with weight loss. I’m down 3 lbs. so far so it’s working. I do intermittent fasting 12-14 hours on most days. I look forward to your updates. 😊
I no longer have a WW meeting place. I can go to the local fire station for a meeting but I am not interested in doing that. The other issue I had with WW was the high points for healthy foods such as avocado. I would get dinged a point for something with only 25-30 calories. Yes calories add up but I was eating way under the recommended calories for weight loss. Now I eat for health
I agree it gets annoying being dinged for some thing that is low calories just because it might have a little fatter sugar in it. Great that you are eating for health that is fantastic.💕
Hello! I just subscribed after searching calories vs. Points. The only thing holding me back from switching to calories is I’m afraid that cooking will be too complicated if I have to measure all the 0 Point ingredients. You have a great Chanel.
I understand your concerns. It is a bit more to track with calories but I also find it to be more flexibility. It’s kind of like both programs have pros and cons. Thank you so much and I am wishing you the best.💕
My nutritionist suggested that I don't eat after dinner so I don't eat after 7 p.m. I usually eat breakfast around 7:30 a.m. I don't even think about snacking at night anymore. I do need to track my protein intake and other things so the ap may be good for me.
Thank you for sharing this Val that makes me feel good that your nutritionist supported not eating after 7 PM. I hope you had a wonderful vacation. I am so behind on videos.💕
I don’t really “count’ anything but I am fully aware of what and when I’m eating. I’m loosely doing low carb and intermittent fasting (14hrs). Like you, i loved, loved, loved the WW meetings. We lost our meetings in March 2020 and I could never feel a connection to anyone in the virtual meetings. I was obsessing over food all the time. I’ve been doing this around 3 weeks now and have lost a little over 3 pounds. The scale doesn’t call me and I am starting to feel like I can make this work. I have been successful on WW and made Lifetime in 1989 but I always gained weight back. I feel like for me, WW will work until it doesn’t and then I gain the weight back and have to start over from scratch.
WW isn’t working for me either. I am counting calories more. But I always said that all foods had calories and they didn’t want to hear that. So between mediterranean and calorie counting will help
I do WW but I am yo-yo dieting lately I am so frustrated Need to shake up my plan to get back on track You are right about trying for blue dot & getting my 23 or less daily How much calories, protein carbs & fats do you eat daily? Thanks
Just ran across you. I follow Dee. This has drawn my interest because I recently been diagnosed prediabetic and keep faĺling off the wagon. I've never wanted to count macros because it sounds overwhelming to track so many things. Have you found it hard to balance out tracking everything?
I try not to worry too much about the macros, it is a guide and extra data to see how you are doing. I never have perfect days, I just try to do the best I can. So happy you are here!
@ameliabishop7139. The way you find the macros is, for each food you eat during the day that you track in the WWapp. Below each food you eat underneath & to the left it says (nutrition info) or something like that. I know that it does have the word nutrition there. So tap on that - the words are blue. When you tap it you will see the entire info for that food. It’s the same way when you are using the recipe builder. I Hope this is helpful.
Do what works. WW was not working for me. I felt a lot of resentment on the present point system concerning high point foods that were lower calorie foods but added up to big points because of a little sugar or fat. WW isn’t what it used to be. They’ve taken so much away and given almost nothing in return. Now with so many apps available it is easier and less expensive to do something else for those that have said enough is enough.
I agree with this. WW is a shell of what it used to be, still works for a lot of people, but it truly makes me sad. I agree, lots of other apps out there for less money. Thank you for watching!
Yes Straight forward and flexible great way to say it . Thanks for doing this collab with me ! xoxo
This was a great Collab, thank you again, Dee!
I agree with you in not enjoying foods because of point value. I stopped enjoying mixed nuts because the points were so high. Having to type in the whole label for a single point value was getting old. The WW I miss I don’t think exists anymore. Great video Danielle
That's how I feel, the WW I miss doesn't exist anymore. They would have to do a lot to draw me back. So happy you are here!
Excellent topic. I think WW has a tendency to make me more food obsessed, constantly thinking about my next meal. Thank you both for this content! 💖
I am so glad these videos were helpful to you. I was feeling the same way always thinking about what I need to make for the next meal. Have a great evening and thank you for watching.💕

Enjoyed your video so much! Totally agree. Former WW Lifetime & currently doing counting carbs & calories. Watched Dee’s video also!
Thank you so much. I appreciate it Mary. Congratulations on making it to lifetime on Weight Watchers. Nice to have another buddy doing counting calories with me.💕💕

Took Dee's advice and now following you too. Thanks for your honesty

Hi Lu, I never thought of doing that, if eating later, then just adjust the next day! Thank you for this idea. I am a novice IF lady over here!

I’m so happy to have you and Dee. For so long everyone I loved on UA-cam did WW, but calories are easier for me. Yay! I’m not alone❤️
We are so happy to have you!!!!
Glad you found something new I know it can get boring doing this or that.
It sure can! Thank you very much!

Hi Cindy, that sounds like the best of both worlds, best wishes to you!
How many days a week do you interfast?
I do intermittent fasting every single day unless I have something come up where we need to have dinner later.
How can we find our personal macros?
Hi there, on the lose it app, it automatically assigns macros to you. I think a lot of apps do that, I believe the Healthi app does it as well.
