Chris, I just wanted to say that I got an wicked awesome birthday present yesterday from my amazing girlfriend. I opened it and inside was letsdigt18 gear! A awesome T-shirt and a sticker!! Can't wait to put that sticker on my toolbox at work and rock that T-shirt!! Thanks for making all this awesome stuff just in time for my birthday! There will definitely be more purchases very soon!
I love watching your almost daily post. I’ve been a subscriber for about a year now. I have a small excavation company in the Austin Texas area. We have a family farm with a gravel pit and Caliche (for pad work) that we sell. Again, I have really learned a lot from watching your videos and look forward to your post almost daily.
Chris, can i suggest you to buy a polarized filter for your gopro? In these sunny days, it could help to do a clear video adding some contrast. Btw great job as always, greetings from italy 🇮🇹
Chris gotta getcha a bomber/big tub trailer with a semi.I use them for hauling scrap after we wreck the buildings but, I have used them to load some big trees that sometimes we do have, they come in clutch.
Great videos Chris! Have you ever found anything interesting when clearing? I once was clearing 9 acres of honeysuckle and maples in an expensive suburban neighborhood and found a 1968 Chevy Impala. We called the police, but they found no body. It didn’t appear very wrecked like from a crash, but far from any road. When they hauled it out, a neighbor told use a teenager went missing near there in the early 70’s. We never heard any more about it...
@@MrScotttraynor Yes, it should be seasoned down to 20% or less moisture content. It depends of the type of wood too for how long it takes to dry. Most wood will dry out in a year if split, but Oak can take longer.
Thank God it's cold outside. Ever come across a hornet's nest while clearing overgrown lots like that? I could only imagine how quickly the cab door would shut! Lol
Chris I've been watching you for a long time. And you've ruined me. Lol I used to.like watching other ppl use equipment but now I fund myself yelling at the screen saying your to slow or Chris wouldn't do it like that. I can't watch them no more. Lmao love your videos. Peace
I hate that Japanese privet; it takes over old farms like that and lets nothing else grow under. invasive plant species is an understatement. Thanks for the videos, have a good one.
Kinda relaxing watching somebody else doing the work! As a excavating contractor myself, curious about the economics of the work you do in NC? How much a hour for your machinery, operators etc? If you were on my crew you'd be a $50.00 dollar an hour guy, your uncle would be a $20.00 dollar an hour guy, after some remedial training of course(lol)!!!
It's just nuts to me how fine your control is. After watching you pluck those two electric fencing posts in that other video that was holding up the silt fence, I wonder how much feedback feel you actually get through the controls?
Chris, you mind me asking what brand that brush mower is, and if you're happy with it? I need to get one for my baby volvo in the next couple months (16gpm). There's a few to choose from. I'm leaning towards the RutMFG...made in USA somewhere on your side of the country. Thanks
That House may have been one of the Plantations that had to be rebuilt after the Revolutionary War. The British burned many during the War trying to break the Colonies resolve.
this site is just too close to other houses to safely burn. plus we really dont have the time to stack it up, let it dry and burn. load it up and send it off to a brush landfill. its buried at this one it going to
22 years ago, we had a potato processing shed. The number threes went by dump truck to the neighbor dairy. the cows like the potatoes. I took a load over and forgot to check the tailgate to see if it was locked. it wasn't. it only opened 3 inches, but I left potatoes all over the road all the way there.
I bet you felt like that shit was growing back faster then you could clear it. Man that was a whole lot of nothing on that lot. I use to clear lots for builders and they would say just brush, little bush hogging, it's a clean lot. Concrete blocks, shopping carts, baby strollers, toilets, sinks mattress springs and what ever else you could think of. Made for a lot of flat tires and cussing who hired me.
You could cut it up for firewood. I know how much you like to do that. Just think you would become a pro chainsaw blade sharpener with all that dirt in there.
I would have said " Hey Chris ! of course you must charge to haul off that brush and stumps and all, BUT if your working in the neighborhood do you just take it to your place and start another big ass burn pile "? and he would probably say "yep".
Hi Chris I ordered a shirt about a week ago and I ordered a Large and got a 2X I was wondering what I need to do to get a large. Btw the design is awesome and I like them a lot! Thanks Logan
Just a curious question Chris. Is there any particular reason why you don't have a trackloader? Just seems like that would be a good machine for clearing that crap brush.
@@letsdig18 yeah that is true especially as wet as it has been around these parts... Btw I'm not too far down the road from you I'm in Asheboro haha.. great work tho always nice seeing your videos 👍
Isn't it funny: My day today went exactly the same way yours went in this video . . . just one of those days. I imagine you were as frustrated as I was (I was doing pretty much the same thing you were). Oh well - tomorrow is another day.
I did not know y'all had privet hedge growing wild up there. I hate that stuff as it ruins the woods down at my place in Louisiana. My grandfather could tell you the name of the ag extension lady that recommended it for hedges around the country houses back in the day. Now it just grows wild and makes a mess in the woods. Awful stuff.
goes to show the neighbor has more money than brains.....the poplar tree, albeit a big one, will not yield enough BTU's to make it worth processing into firewood. It's less than half the BTU's of regular hardwood. SMH.......

Cool old house! A lot of history there. I hate when the trees won’t break apart like that, just a pain
While you were working I could see Tim "paddling" his way back to the truck. Or using his bucket to pull himself through the mud.

He finds balloons all the time
Why is balloons offensive UA-cam
Never ceases to amaze me o how much power it takes to tackle Nature
Thanks Chris. I always love the tree clearing videos. I must say that I would think there would be a lot of wild life but I assume you edit those out.
That nieghbour is going to have firewood for a couple of years or three by the look of it saves you hauling and he has heating win win situation.
but doesnt firewood have to "aged" ie; cant be used for a year?

Friday? Call it a week! Have a great weekend Chris.
Duckgirl’s mantra could just as easily apply to Letsdig.
“Few things are truly impossible.... most are just varying stages of difficult”
Have to admire the tree about 17:00 that gave your big honkin excavator such a rassle. It wasn't going to let you bust it up without a fight.
amazing how strong trees are. I would have thought a tree wouldn't be a match for that big ol Volvo. LOL
Thank God it's cold outside.

I do it all the haha recently with DLH

Another nice job . Sometimes the small jobs are the worst .
Great video... that stone slinger would of been nice on the range job to toss the mulch
Great video Chris as usual Man y’all stay safe and have a good weekend

I can tell that you are really enjoying this job Chris 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for the action packed video Christopher, this was awesome!!!

Chris you need to find a burn site, where you can take all that brush, stockpile it and burn it,would save you a fortune in tipping costs
"Oh, couldn't cut it thru? Here deal with the biggest stick first" :p Those HUMONGUS rounds will make the smaller stuff look easy. :P
Looks like you are off your game a little today! Hard to be the best every day. thanks for shooting great vids.
I think a "Angry and at the controls vid" is in order, show the destructive force of your machines.
wow that excavator is a beast when it comes to big jobs.
What happens to the stumps ? Are they chipped ? Your videos sure make our lock down enjoyable. .
Hey Chris I just wondered if you got that major stumping job done. The one from early last year. It's snowing here in Saint Thomas, Pa.
That House may have been one of the Plantations that had to be rebuilt after the Revolutionary War. The British burned many during the War trying to break the Colonies resolve.
Chris, what determines whether you burn the brush and branches or haul them off? And where you haul them to, do they burn or chip the stuff?
this site is just too close to other houses to safely burn. plus we really dont have the time to stack it up, let it dry and burn. load it up and send it off to a brush landfill. its buried at this one it going to
Question, how do you like your Takeuchi after a couple yrs ?
Would you buy again ?
So relaxing to watch, it's untrue 😁
hell yeah 31 min video 👌

Did you fill in the pond?
Chris is first.Give him medal.
ERES UN MAQUINA CHAVAL,MANEJAS DE TODO Y MUY BIEN
say what!! Hombre.
Chris you have that excavator down to a science perfect

Chris i really like your channel i plan on buying some if your shirts when i get back home in march i am deployed in kwait right now
OK, you've convinced me; clearing brush is a pain in the arse.
Chris , would you rather clear lots or dig out ponds or lakes ?
I can hear the land owner now.... “It’s so thick! You can’t even walk through it!”
Is there a grinding place that could use all of that for mulch. ..just asking. ?? Muddy place. .. Lots of sawing for the neighbor. ..lol
Nice job guys 👍
You don't realize how big those trees and root balls are till your standing next to one.
Thanks for the video.
You could cut it up for firewood. I know how much you like to do that. Just think you would become a pro chainsaw blade sharpener with all that dirt in there.
Do u take all the brush to the dump, or do u have a dump site for all of it.
I would have said " Hey Chris ! of course you must charge to haul off that brush and stumps and all, BUT if your working in the neighborhood do you just take it to your place and start another big ass burn pile "? and he would probably say "yep".
Letsdig18 has got a new video. “Cancel all my appointments!”
GOOD CAMERA LOCATION
1st 2nd 3rd none of those maybe 4th!!! Hello everyone from Germany
Ahh 5th ;.)
Hey im back
Hi Chris. What kind of tre is that who is so hard to get into small pieces????
Chris it sounds like you have a squeaky bearing/bushing on your bucket thumb joint , it really squawks on camera.
You ever consider selling firewood on the side?
never LOL ive tried to even give it away and nobody shows up
They burn or bury those stumps?
Hi Chris I ordered a shirt about a week ago and I ordered a Large and got a 2X I was wondering what I need to do to get a large. Btw the design is awesome and I like them a lot! Thanks Logan
send me a email please. Letsdig18@yahoo.com
Would take those logs for saw logs!!!!
Just a curious question Chris. Is there any particular reason why you don't have a trackloader? Just seems like that would be a good machine for clearing that crap brush.
it would get stuck just like the first guy who tried to clear this
@@letsdig18 yeah that is true especially as wet as it has been around these parts... Btw I'm not too far down the road from you I'm in Asheboro haha.. great work tho always nice seeing your videos 👍
After you get it cleared out could you imagine what you could possibly fine with a metal detector if that was built in the late 1700s
Isn't it funny: My day today went exactly the same way yours went in this video . . . just one of those days. I imagine you were as frustrated as I was (I was doing pretty much the same thing you were). Oh well - tomorrow is another day.
Why not chain saw those downed trees into more manageable pieces ?
What kind of chainsaw do you have
That property needs some drain tile
You have a mess there at least the guy is taking most of the trees be careful of the ivy
Is that your uncle driving the truck with the big stump. Kinda looks like him.
Nasty under growth on this lot.
Privet, the stuffs worse than Cudzu in the south.
For a 300 year old house it is still hanging there well.
What about a stump grinder then it would not take up so much room in the dump truck just a thought
I get the feeling that you and your uncle don't see eye to eye?
we do, i run the machine he drives the dump truck, everything peachy!
Ok, thanks for the reply. Love the videos
That's a damn mess. I hate previt!
If it was me and that much poision ivy, I would have run away. I despise that stuff.
How long does a tank of fuel last on that excavator?
avenger007007 Many years unless the key is turned on. 🤑
avenger007007 5 minutes if it id siphoned out by a thief.
😆
0.2 of a second if it explodes like a Hollywood movie!
I dont know why he would want that Popular ? its a soft wood it will burn fast & not put out much heat
Damn privet!!!

Up north it often is Honey Suckle.
Privet is bad for people with allergies too
Umm where is the big saw #stihl 💪🏻👍🏻
Its alwrite, that load will only take out a signal or "two".. hee hee
Just think of all the snakes that would of been there if it was summer time.
Nice!!!
Am I gonna have to call logger wade? Lol
i bet the rats all ran to that nice house next door.
Ever find a dead body or old Pontiac buried in the brush?
Only in Detroit or Chicago
I love youuuu Chris
I'm curious to watch you eat a salad now.
goes to show the neighbor has more money than brains.....the poplar tree, albeit a big one, will not yield enough BTU's to make it worth processing into firewood. It's less than half the BTU's of regular hardwood. SMH.......
You sound and look like your pissed off with this job
I tried to respond to a comment saying you find balloons on property and that is offensive

Ross Fillhart not a good idea when poison ivy is in the mix
Dont break tim lol
And tec nu it work
And your thumb has an issue
All your problem solving , makes for better videos.
