May different type of Laksa in Malaysia. each states might have their own version, In Sarawak , it is the famous Sarawak Laksa,, east coast Malaysia , Laksam, Malacca...famous for Nonya Laksa, Penang Assam laksa which is of a Fish broth soured by Tamarind juice and lots of fresh herbs
