When I worked in perfumery, I had a customer asking specifically for a sensual, seductive, intoxicating perfume as a gift for his girlfriend (most men just go in and say: "I need a gift for my girlfriend/wife, help me"😁). He was really picky - we went through a lot of perfumes (HP, Poison Girl, Alien, Angel Muse, Narciso Rouge, Kenzo Amour, La Nuit Tresor etc.) but none of them wowed him. I was so close to giving up because he didn't like anything!😅 Then I showed him Addict and he was like: That's it! That's so good! He was intoxicated by the smell (I was surprised he could smell anything at all after trying that many perfumes😅) He bought it immediately. As for me, I find it very attractive but slightly too mature for me. Maybe in a few years I'll try it again. It's a great scent for sure and men seem to love it

@@sara290100 Yes but I would say only in the evening/night ! It’s too potent and seductive for work, and can be suffocating in the heat, so be careful. I prefer it in the colder months

Pink & Fabulous yes do not blind buy it, because the first time I tried at ulta, I didn’t like it at all, then the 2nd time I was at macys and tried, well I fall in love and it has been my addiction since🥰

Just love the Dior House of fragrances! Did not know of re-formulation AGAIN, ughhh!! I remember my first bottle in 2007 that's how much of an impression it made on me - my top favorite!!
I love this one ❣️ I still have memories of my mum owning this when it had an old formulation with gold silverware rather than white silver. I was so in love it it, then bought it years ago for myself and continue purchasing it every time I run out of it ❤️

I have had a bottle of Addict since it came out in 2002. I love it! The new formulations have changed it (I liked the OG the best), but it is still a great fragrance. I can't wear it everyday, weekends, nights (I work in the Medical field, and have to be careful with this one, stays around even if applied the night before). Interesting combo: I spray with Chloe Love Story during the day, and they are AMAZING together! I got Love Story as a gift, and it is just boring alone to me, but mixed with Addict- the most beautiful floral oriental.

To me is green buttery almond and a beautiful vanilla, took me a while to enjoy it, now i'm craving it 🥰. Maybe because first times was summer and now is winter, it's a winter fragrance for me.

I sniffed the tester a few weeks ago. It smells good , I forgot what it smelt like, but I wrote it down on my “Wishlist” on my phone. Dior makes good perfume. I ve owned j’dore and hypnotic poison edt, love them
I love Dior Addict! It's my favourite perfume! It makes me feel sensual and confident. I'm glad that it is not overhyped, so that even though it's a designer fragrance I still smell unique
Oh, I hope it’s still good! 😯 I bought mine last year at Christmas.
I bought my bottle on January 2020 so I think I have the latest formula. It's my favorite winter perfume. I do wear it quite often this summer since we have quite a lot of rainy days and I feel warm whenever I spray this perfume all over me. Yes, I do agree that men can wear this as well.

I absolutely love this fragrance! I remember getting the OG in 2002 And I've purchased it ever since, I mix it with Elizabeth Arden white tea, the white tea is very subdued and mixed with Dior addict It's just a nice layering combo!
A similar fragrance some ppl comment is similar is “premiere by Elizabeth arden” i havent smell this one to compared them.
i use to not like addict by smelling it on paper.. but i am super impressed how it smells on my skin! I never thought I would like it.. i am saving up to buy it🤩❤️

I love Dior addict. Of course I will always have it. I never tried the original 2022 version. However I have been in department stores years ago and tried the 2012 version which I loved. Anyway I tried fragrenza dupe for addict called dipendenza and was amazed. Reminds me of 2012 version and lasted days on clothes.
My signature scent
I have the 2002 batch and I wear it hot humid tropical climate here in Jakarta. It doesnt want to come off, lasts more than 24 hours and projecting all the time, it’s crazy.
I live next door in Malaysia and also enjoy it in the heat. It just blooms. I love it.

I don’t anything about their different formulations. I presume I have something from more recent times. It’s gorgeous, one of the very few designer perfumes I own. Yes, I agree, cold weather only. I still worry about projecting too much and irritating people around me. It’s def beast mode.

Delicious Delights for some reason, Ulta stopped carrying the large size, which really annoys me because I save my points all year to get a perfume, I want Dior Addict but I want the big size :) ❤️

I still have some of the original. I think it had more depth and was even more sexy. The ads represented it well! Dior reformulates in a heartbeat. François Demachy has his hands on everything! Nothing is safe. lol
I loooooove it!!!❤ I don’t think it was reformulated again in 2019, i think it was just a rumor..This is one of my signatures, so i own multiple bottles, the last one I purchased was a 2020 batch, and there is no difference in smell or performance😊great as always!!

Hi, Addict 2002 was a nuclear, so intoxicating ❤, just like Poison OG 1985...that kind of BIG... the newer reformulation are tamed and smoothed still magnificent. I prefer this to most Dior's Private Line fragrances. This Layered with Armani Vert or Rouge Malachite is another story.

I found it at a local drug store on a bottom shelf over a year ago. It had some dirt damage on the plastic covering of the box, so i am assuming that’s why it was marked down.

I love fragrance & collect. I have never seen this fragrance sold & never heard anyone talking about it
I bought this and didn't like it at first the opening was too sharp and spicy but after a year it mellows out and becomes softer.
Definitely the zexiest perfume ever made and my favourite of al time

This perfume is beautiful. I own 2 large bottle and that small one u have there. I have it on right now. 2 sprays goes a long way. Why fix it if it’s not broke
This has been a requirement for my fragrance collection since 2002. It is my signature scent. I may be turned by a Byredo , (romani water) a la labo( Tonga oud) or jo Malone, (Bergamot oud, freesia pear). But I wore this scent the night I first kissed my husband. It’s a constant signifier of womanly confidence. For some reason this is the only Dior scent I love…..

Maybe I’ll try this, I can’t stand Poison Girl but still want to try others from Dior, and I think this would be perfect for me, I love orientals..Amber, vanilla, spicy scents are my faves and they work so beautifully on my skin 🌹❤️
You also should try dior pure poison, if you didnt already. I dont like the poison line, but pure poison is a win for me.

Years ago there was a dupe by xoxo fragrances I can’t remember the exact name but only the brand it was a very close dupe.
I just received a tester of Dior Addict but it’s heavy on the cinnamon...or clove?
Calvin Klein's Truth smells very close to Dior Addict. Thierry Wasser was one of the creators of Truth and later Addict. Truth predates Addict by two years.
I love CK Truth! Such a great underrated gem!
My favorite perfume by Christian Dior is poison. Never tried addict yet. I might buy a bottle from Walmart. I love perfumes that has a vanilla, or sandalwood smell. Take Mariah Carey‘s first perfume that she came out with. That one is my favorite. Or, take vanilla musk, or vanilla fields by coti which is another favorite of mine. Or fire and ice by Revlon. Yes those are strong perfumes but I love my perfumes to stand out.
I have 2 bottles of the 2002 versions, and for some reasons, I don"t really get vanilla at all. All I can smell is spice and jasmine. Still very beautiful, but no vanilla for me😅
I bought a 2012 formulation recently which is supposedly the best one but to my nose the differences between the three formulations (2002, 2012 and 2014) are not really significant in terms of how they smell. I recently found testers for all of them and was able to test them. I can't speak to the longevity as I haven't owned the other versions but the 2012 one lasts forever! It is so mystifying to me how all three versions lists slightly different notes but don't really smell significantly different!

Ahh I've heard some say that the versions are only slightly different while others say that they're VERY different. Lucky you were able to try all of them to compare :)
@@DeliciousDelights Yes it was some luck and I am glad because I am always curious about formulations and feel like I want to try them out just to know which one I would prefer. But honestly to my nose DA versions are 99.5% similar and it would not really matter to me which version I owned but maybe my sense of smell is not as sensitive as others. My understanding is that one of the major differences is longevity with the older versions being far superior performers from the current but of course both these criteria are subjective so 🤷🏾♀️

@@Vickytori22 I only have the 2002 and 2012 formulations and the performance on both of them are excellent. But the general opinion is that older formulations have great longevity and while the latest one is very good, its not as good the older ones.

Ha....ha....ha....I tried this a few summers ago at The Bay (HBC), just ONE spritz at the cuff of my shirt (it does stains, so do be careful) and my family nearly "murdered" me on the way home ha...ha....ha....so heat+close quarter (car)+Dior Addict= NO GO, should be a no brainer but if I learned something, this one DELIVERS. Thanks for sharing your love for this perfume.

They're both very rich, warm, beautiful scents especially during colder weather. Addict is very different for sure. I get Alien vibes from it. You'll either absolutely love it, or hate it.
Mon Guerlain was a love at first snif for me. It's a safer blind buy too, very classy 👌😍😍

Just bought Dior Addict, smells nice. But not much projection or silage, more like a skin scent...Not sure if the latest version lives up to the hype??

I prefer the pre 2014 versions of this perfume. I don't see ehy a big fashion house like Dior have to do this.
Tive o imenso prazer em usar o Dior Addict na fórmula de 2004, depois comprei outro, muito diferente, o primeiro era mais delicado, frutado e adocicado, o de 2014 que comprei senti que era mais amadeirado e não tinha aquela mesma feminilidade do primeiro, me senti decepcionada.
It's too heavy, I can't smile vanilla but I can smell cinnamon and oud it's weird but I like it
It’s a nice perfume... but I find it to be extremely clogging and thick. It literally smells like vanilla extract that you bake with. I can’t pick up any other note. I like vanilla, but it needs to accompany another scent for me to truly enjoy. Not bad, just not my idea of sexy. But definitely comforting on winters nights
Ahh yes it is definitely thick and can be cloying. I suppose cooler weather and lighter on the trigger might make it easier to wear :)

My signature fragrance no is panthere from cartier. But i have to sexy perfumes: winther is THIS one and i am no kidding you. Summer is evidence intense from Yves Rocher which really worths for price. DIOR killed me with the last refirmulation of dolce vita😘😘👍👍👍as this used to be my signature for a long time😅🤣

I so wanted to love this but it's terrible to my nose. I've heard that it's been reformulated so maybe it's the new version that I smelled. I dislike it on every level.
I found it was overrated to my nose too, a basic slightly spicy jasmine vanilla
If you choose between Addict and Hypnotic Poison, which would you recommend? 😊

I ordered this one and I regret it, I mean it smells good but it smells exactly like Burberry Britt?? . I very expensive Burberry Britt, I recommend for people who blind buying this to order BURBERRY Britt, it's the same thing for more then half the price. And both are equally long lasting.🤦
I really wanted to purchase this one based on all the reviews I hear anywhere, so got a sample of it before getting a full bottle, but to my nose, it smells so similar to Tom Ford Noir pour femme which I own. Has anybody else found them similar? :) Thanks!

I have a decant of Noir Pour Femme on the way. I Can’t wait to compare. When I first smelled Addict it immediately reminded me of Guerlain Angelique Noir. A creamy green vanilla. I have the 2012 version so I’m not sure if that’s why.
