    Hey bro I would recommend using the casting version of the spinfisher vi 4500 it holds alot of line for those big fish that pull drag.

      Thanks. I never knew there’s a casting/overhead version of the spinfisher vi reels.

    What braid size did you use? I would think 20lb would be normal for that size reel, but I think you were using something heavier than that?

    • @SportFishingAsia
      @SportFishingAsia  2 роки тому

      It’s 30 pounds Berkley Fireline braid on that reel.

      @@SportFishingAsia - Thanks, I thought it would be. I gather a really solid reel but also a bit heavier.

      You’re welcome. You won’t feel the weight at this size, perhaps the larger models. Penn reels are often solidly built.

    Would like to upgrade my penn persuit. Penn battle 3 or spinfisher better?. Any suggestion

      We have been using both and like both reels. I think it’d be down to your budget to determine which to choose.

      If you have the experience, can you give me advice on choosing a rod for the penn spinfisher vi 5500, The price does not matter(casting)

    • @SportFishingAsia
      @SportFishingAsia  3 роки тому +1

      @@badrfalgi8469 for that reel model I think rods in the 6’6” to 7’ length and around the 20-30lb or PE2-4 range will match well generally. It may also depend on the type of fishing you will most often use it for or where you’re shopping from. Shouldn’t go wrong with top range models from Penn, Shimano and Yamaga Blanks.
