Yea it feels happy and soothing in a way but it feels bittersweet/melencholic, almost like your lonely or missing something but you know everything is ok in the end
@@quincylinder9738 i met this girl from Bavaria that came to Nigeria beginning of 2024 to biuld our first ever skate park here, i fell really hard for her after only like two solid weeks of spending almost everyday together. Finally the project was done after like a month and she left back to Germany, This song has made me cry every single day i play it even by accident because she played me this video for the first time when we were comparing music taste on one beautiful day and i just dont understand how a song can really carry alot of weight in control momentary emontions.
I first heard this song when an old friend that I had not seen in awhile picked me up from the mainland ferry to stay with her the weekend. It was pouring rain and she had just got a new sound system in her car with bass. I'll never forget that feeling of being so relaxed and connected. The look of the lights glowing in the raindrops on the windshield or how she looked so pretty in the rear view mirror smoking a cigarette and blowing the smoke out a crack in the window.
“wild winter, warm coffee, mama’s gone, do you love me? blazing summer, cold coffee, baby’s gone, do you love me?” these lyrics will always be special to me. when i used to listen to this song in high school, my mom would often be gone for months at a time to take care of my grandma in florida during the winters and during the summers i went away to camp. during the times when we were in the same place though, we always had coffee together in the morning and it was time that i cherished.
I fell in love with this after seeing it on Conan. I have no idea what she's saying, no idea what those sounds are, but it works. I'm jamming to this. It's different. Different is needed
Me too...I was asleep doing the TV watching me kind of thing and I woke up to it. I love their quirkiness--her weird dancing and his one piece of a machine making that lovely music. On Conan it seemed more of a "naked" version---but I think I found a new album to buy. Yeah!
Exactly! Everything you said is why I love it. I live for quirky different shit. It's the kinda jam you awkwardly dance to on a rooftop while smoking a joint
what's extra funny is, when I listened to this in 2014, it was making me nostalgic for 2011 because of the Sharkey Street party scene looking like where I went to school in Tallahassee.
this video is so organic. the people are not models, they are beautiful in a very average you and me sort of way. their dance moves aren't all that impressive, but there is sincerity behind them.
Compared to me, most of them look like super attractive super models. Yeah, pal, I am playing life on Ultra Nightmare... At least I can listen to good music. 😢
Wild winters, warm coffee Mom's gone, do you love me? Blazing summer, cold coffee Baby's gone, do you love me? Something about these lines makes me so happy every time.
When I am 100 years old I will be in concert, watching this couple perform, knowing that so few others of any generation have lived to see how improved life has become in 2073.

After working at Teavana for so long, you would get accustomed to having this song play super often. I couldn't help but tap my foot whenever it did come on. Rest in piece to that era.
Again, wow. This woman’s a force. Love her and this energy they are putting out! Edit - after many listens, this art has helped me positively move forward with some hard stuff I’m dealing with. Music can be so very healing when we are open to receive it. Thank you to all the artists from my heart.
This is a masterpiece, this song brings me in such a special mood, like I'm on an other planet. Like really, you should listen this when you're stoned. This will be my favourite song forever!
+Jef totally agree. listened to this without the music video for months. watched it stoned today and it was a whole new song with the music video. loved the the slow motion and the way the two dance partners looked at each other in the eyes. pretty powerful
I’m amazed to hear so many others talk about the unforgettable and distinct feeling that this song evoked in them. I had this same experience with an ex that came back into my life briefly years ago at the perfect timing of this song and it’s been very hard to listen to ever since but I’m finally able to appreciate it again without the sadness. ❤❤
agree, great vibe, great video, too bad so many people are afraid to try something new,and believe its good to be different, never would have found this song, was in the middle of nowhere and the only channel was some college radio, this was on, and caught me
love this song! brings tears to my eyes. it paints the picture of old memories flying by as you look up into the sky, somewhat with the feeling of melancholy yet sweetness.
Laurent from Les Twins @lestwinsoff brought me here. He brought even more beautiful light to this song in his most recent freestyle - Juste Debout judges demo in Stockholm🙌🏽🙌🏽💜💜
Laurent brought me here also. When he dances, he makes you feel the music just as much as he does and the way he interpreted dance with this song was magical!!!
coming back to this with youtube's new "see where people replay frequently" feature -- this is the only video I've seen where everyone replays the entire length, there is no single spike
I love how even when the dance is supposed to be kind of fun and silly you can still tell that she's got a sense of rhythm and can probably tear it up at the club
My phone has died twice, not from looking thru facebook, or texting. Its died twice because every time the song ends i start it over again. I love this jam
It's hard to find a singer these days as beautiful as she is with equally beautiful vocals! Her voice and style really reminds me of the 50's era music when having good vocals really mean't something!
I found this song randomly one night. It felt like life was falling apart so quickly. It was overwhelming and I had no words to describe what I was going through. My state of mind was at a point where I couldn't even cry anymore. Suddenly, I stumbled upon this song and it comforted me. I immediately began to cry, and every now and then I play it, because it helped me cope through such a hard time.
Why is no one talking about how this song is a brilliantly bittersweet ode to serial monogamy, how it's both familiar and surreal each time the "pair of feet change". 🖤
When it would storm my ex and I would go to the back of her car and listen to music and smoke cigarettes. This song was one she showed me. We have been apart for a month and I'm just starting to be able to listen to stuff again, especially without the memories flooding back. It's going to take awhile but I feel I'm starting to get over her slowly. She will always be in my heart, but I have to be able to open up my heart to this person that likes me, eventually.

This song gives me one of those nostalgic gut punches that make you feel like you saw your best friend from middle school for the last time.
I literally just read the comments to see if someone else had experienced that feeling of nostalgia, yes this song is definitely magical
Very much so. I'm fortunate enough to be friends to this day with a few amazing souls from the age of 3 in kindergarten.
Yea it feels happy and soothing in a way but it feels bittersweet/melencholic, almost like your lonely or missing something but you know everything is ok in the end
why am i crying

That is so poetic. Much love. Keep being analytical; the world looks better this way.
Wow that’s beautiful

Thank you so much for

Thanks for sharing. This song makes me think of life as a series of beautiful imperfections.

I can’t believe I’m just now finding this masterpiece! Goosebumps, and on constant repeat ❤
You should also listen to hey mami
I agree I think the Audio and Visual is orchestrated at a master level. I think this breaks the standards and this is what I do.
that scene in good girl's guide absolutely broke my heart, I started to crying and felt how inevitable the future was...💔
Haven’t had a good cry to a show in forever until this one came along. Just so perfect and beautiful. 💗
This used to be my alarm clock song but like all alarm clock songs you eventually hate it. I have un-hated it now though, it's all good guys
Alex Fisher so true lol
Mine was Boys Don’t Cry by The Cure

October 2024, and this is pure serenity. Blissful serenity.
My favorite song, I can listen to it 100 times in a row and find something new and delightful
Life was so good when I was a kid. When I used to hear this song I miss hearing it as a kid and just my childhood
Laurent took this song and add a plus to the art. LOVE LOVE
I found this song because of Laurent!
Watching this high might be the best achievement of mankind.
why is this song ahead of its time tbh. This will always give off such a unique blend of sounds that the beauty of it will last for years. amazing
I love this song.....found it accidentally. I love the pure joy of the dancing people. Wonderful video for a great song.
"Get up get down" kills me
Ikr, it's exactly what happens every day when I wake up 😅
ikr
Everybody knows one must down in order to get on up. One need not be George Clinton to know that this the first principal of funk.

Isaiah Parker saw it on Conan and came to check her out. She is nice!!!!
Hell yea man! That's where I seen it, and exactly what I thought!
Saw them open for Foster the People last night in L.A. and kinda like them, though we also couldn't understand a thing she sang.
The good girl guide to murder bought me here ❤❤ never heard it till now.. make me sad n happy
Mesmerizing voice, beautiful vibes.
Astr0z haha like there aren't any videos where everyone is black or Latin...double standard much
I have Spotify to thank for this song. I have a whole playlist based on this type of sound and it is amazing!!
definitely one of those "hey it's 2014 all of a sudden again" flashback songs
what's extra funny is, when I listened to this in 2014, it was making me nostalgic for 2011 because of the Sharkey Street party scene looking like where I went to school in Tallahassee.
I have a new favourite song.
And it really sounds like coffee, like something that I drink half asleep, something warm, sweet and bitter.
Only discovered this band this year and I am obsessed. Song of this year for me.

It’s a great song we deserve it
why is it genius?
My baby does the hanky hanky!

Omg, is that contra dancing? That *is* contra dancing!

Even in 2021, it's still the dance at the end for me.

Love is an understatement. Thanks Esso
Awesome dancing 😁 whole video spectacular 😻 love you guys 🤘🎶❤️
love this song! brings tears to my eyes. it paints the picture of old memories flying by as you look up into the sky, somewhat with the feeling of melancholy yet sweetness.
It's incredible that most people feel that with this song, I feel it and that nostalgia is so beautiful.
lets create more core memories
I almost forgot about this song and that sucks. Heard it probably way back in 2014 , IG reminded me about it. So much nostalgia. I'm overwhelmed.
I love how they do the creep at the end
omg right?!
Laurent from Les Twins @lestwinsoff brought me here. He brought even more beautiful light to this song in his most recent freestyle - Juste Debout judges demo in Stockholm🙌🏽🙌🏽💜💜
Lol me too

This is the only song I have had on repeat since my Wu Tang days. Idk why I dig it so much but I can’t get it out of my head.
So chill yet energizing, great lyrics.
Got me in a complete state of nostalgia towards my days at university
I love this song ... Its catchy i swear. But the vocals on her is so soothing
One of the most underrated, before their time pieces of art. Evertyhing about this is magic.
This is a typical of music that somehow makes me remember about those moments form the years before pandemic.
hands down one of the best releases in recent times. classic.
I definitively agree with that.
Can't believe no one has mentioned how live that party is. Goddamn, they throw down!
Why does this song always make me cry when I'm intoxicated?
Laurent brings me here.. 🖤
worth it.
ohhh yea. genius making geniality all over the globe
I love how even when the dance is supposed to be kind of fun and silly you can still tell that she's got a sense of rhythm and can probably tear it up at the club
My phone has died twice, not from looking thru facebook, or texting. Its died twice because every time the song ends i start it over again. I love this jam
This brings me back to my college days listening to this as I wrote code in the computer lab
It's hard to find a singer these days as beautiful as she is with equally beautiful vocals! Her voice and style really reminds me of the 50's era music when having good vocals really mean't something!
Very true
Man what a time. Barely 20 at the time and I remember the good memories with this song, life was great.

I love that they are bringing together classic and modernness in the video through dance.
