They prevented the Russians from going south and emerging on the stage of history. The Chagatai Khanate is also known as a Turkish state. There is even an old Turkish language called Chagatai. Timur state, which separated from Chagatai, is a Turkish state. He conquered Izmir from Christians and wanted to Islamize China. Timur's descendants, the Mughals, also ruled in India for centuries. It is also considered a Turkish state. In fact, Bâbürnâme is a very valuable Turkish work. The Taj Mahal was built thanks to them. As you can see, if a Mongol becomes a Muslim, he becomes Turkic. This is the only difference between us. Throughout history, Turks have fought among themselves, but today no one is hostile to each other. War is a natural thing. Я все еще удивляюсь насколько Монгольская империя была огромная, ведь мой город, Тегеран, Багдад, Сеул, Пекин, Москва и Киев тогда были под владением одного государства 😮
It is crazy to hear again and again that Japan, a small country at that time, ignored all the letters from the Mongol Empire, the most powerful empire in the world, and killed all the messengers sent from Mongolia with swords. Some say that this is why Japan was invaded by the Mongols. (Well, Japan won the war as a result).
@Genghis Khan Well, in reality the Mongol Empire didn't exist anymore by the 1260s. The four khanates were de facto independent and completely seperate from each other at that point. In my view the Mongol Empire stopped existing with the death of Möngke Khan. Nonetheless, pretty much all historians agree that it was the second largest empire, and some have recently started to suggest that it was the biggest.
Instead of thinking of it (the mongol) as an empire i think of it more as a temporarily existing unstoppable force that just kinda shattered after a few years.
My favourite part of this song, which I'm sure is deliberate, is that for the first half of the song they could just be singing about a really well-respected Mongolian chieftain, irrelevant to the rest of the world. After the throat singing/instrumental in the middle, they mention that he possessed half the known world. I would imagine the first part is praising him for uniting the Mongols under him, and the second part for what he did afterwards.
A lot of women want to date Mongolian men because they have a reputation of coming from a culture that knows how to treat women and that treat women a lot better than a lot of other cultures including Western cultures too. Mongols gave women status in their own right as human beings when the vast majority of cultures considered them chattel and some countries and cultures still do. Some cultures do not value their women at all which is absolutely shameful.

The Huns came to Europe a few centuries before Genghis but I guess that just means you guys invaded Europe before it was cool
@@saccorhytus fax huns invaded europe during roman empire age AD 300-400s. While mongol invaded in 1200's. Hungarians came from a place where called magna hungaria way after the hunnic invasion and originally were uralic but they have mixed with oghuric tribes onoghurs to be specific remained tribes of Huns like sabars and Avars. Before magyars came there was avars and oghuric bulgars in modern day hunagry territory, magyars lived with turkic pechenegs then came to europe descendants of western huns are the western turkic people only living language is chuvash as they were volga bulgars and had their own khaganate while other turks got different khagantes. Huns arent mongols by the way they were made of western steppe people but for xiongnu they are the mix of scythians and proto mongols who then expanded to west to conquer other scyhtian territories which eventually makes at least eastern scyhtians were proto turkic who attributed in xiongnus heredity. If xiongnus were different people than scythians they wouldnt erase scythian cultures easily because they didnt they knew they had same origin. Modu chanyu (Mete han) especially united the western steppe people who were known as scyhtians till caspian sea after caspian sea its more likely to be eastern iranic the ancestors of sogdians and bactrians. Turkic languages are in fact closer to the uralic langauges like hungarian rather mongolian and tungusic eastern eurasian languages. So are huns hungarian no, but they have ancestral connection the huns expanded to where proto magyars were living in time some other people like slavs balts and germanic tribes were also been in hunnic empire but initial ones came from around caspian sea. In fact the hunnic rulers names like Attila Rugila Dengizik Uldız are made of turkic nouns dengizik is deniz which means sea and uldız is yıldız which means star oghuric tribes continution were bulgars which have been called kutrigurs and utrigurs initially in eastern roman sources. So they have nothing to do with western huns who invaded europe turkic people in fact werent always slanted eyes but the eastern turks due slab grave genetics got more slanted eyed over time however oghuz turks were never slanted eye. European huns had much likely scythian genetics because thats what they were so are huns iranic ofc no because not all scythians were iranic after all from balkans to altai mountains they were a big confederation. So proto turks were part of scyhtian confederation and speaking similiar to uralic people they expanded to western mongolia and formed xiongnu culture, xiongnus expanded back to west during modu chanyu's rule. And there is no way that this new people can assimilate scythians who are claimed to be indo european not all were they. So xiongnus collapsed but ther name didnt erase eastern xiongnus were replaced by xianbei mongols or tungusic people. When oghuric tribes freed from gokturks they united and formed old great bulgar khanate above black sea then came europe with rule of Asparuh Khan which then they fought to avars. Turks above caucasia were called Khazars and this are people who are reason of bulgars migrated balkans but some went volga to became what known as volga bulgars as i said chuvashes are their descendants. Khazars replaced by pechenegs and the uralic magyar people who have mixed with onogurs came pechenegs land then went to europe in 9th century during Arpad's rule. Magyars had name hungarians in time because there was a clear relationship between them but they arent directly coming from huns then stayed in europe from 400'sAD to today. Still they carry the heritage so its not wrong to call them descendants of huns and related to turkic people in sense. But mongols? Mongols also can claim to be descendants of xiongnus but again they werent the rulers of xiongnu just citizens they first got conquered then replaced xiongnus with xianbeis and rourans which has nothing to do with western huns who came europe who carry more proto turkic scyhtian heredity more than they werent as slanted eyed as eastern huns the xiongnu. Xiongnu is just hiung-nu which is hun in chinese language. These people dominated europe, persia, india, entire steppes, china, eastern north asia they were just monsters. Hope i clarified it good.

My favourite part of this song, which I'm sure is deliberate, is that for the first half of the song they could just be singing about a really well-respected Mongolian chieftain, irrelevant to the rest of the world. After the throat singing/instrumental in the middle, they mention that he possessed half the known world. I would imagine the first part is praising him for uniting the Mongols under him, and the second part for what he did afterwards.

yes! definitely! were I to date a Mongolian girl, I'd definitely sing this song to her, might as well start learning to play the Morin Khuur as well.

GOAT
In 20 years the Mongol Army conquered more land than the Roman Empire in 400, i can see that as an absolute win
The bad thing about this song, is that it ends.
Yes
Me with loop video:I had such no weakness
@@guynamedsaxonia9820 Clearly, you are smarter than me XD
Much like the only bad part of the Mongol Empire
Unlike the Mongol empire

Genghis Khan: peace was never an option fam

Teacher: Today class we are going to talk about the world history

The Mongols are such a fascinating historical anomaly. They broke basically every trend that had dominated history until then.

They are their own trend. The trend of Mongolians or other nomadic dudes absolutely dismantling everything and anything.
National anthem of Finland and Hungary
Hmm, nomadic peoples invading settler societies and winning? Not really a new thing e.g Huns to the Romans, or Xiongniu to the Han.
And crossed Beringer Narrow to become the bases of american indigenous people
those are surely some badass vocals
4:36 ayo the beat drop here goes insane 🔥🗣️💯
idk why Mongolians never get any attention? Like, they're also East Asian, they ruled possibly the LARGEST empire in human history, and they have amazing music.
Because mongols are just considered as chinese by the westerners. And china=bad too for them. So that's it.
There’s been numerous video games and films made about the Mongols, Hollywood made two films about Genghis Khan in the 1950-60’s, one of them starred John Wayne. The most recent was Netflix’s Marco Polo series
@@karthik7282 , exactly, despite the fact that Mongols are very different from chinese. Like calling a Mongolian " chinese ", is the same thing as calling a German " arab "
@@jokester3076 I was referencing how Mongolia doesn't get any mainstream attention, unlike Japan, South Korea, and China.
Probably because they're very quiet
which is kind of worrisome
Imagine being so impactful on the world that your name still strikes fear into some.
Who on earth is afraid of genghis Khan today?
