I find it funny that the lizard guy who looks more like he should be the comic relief is actually one of the principal villains
Having played them all i loce the franchise and hope it comes back one day. The first 2 were great, but misses 2 great characters for me: xion and cronos. Cronos phenix wall-face scorcher was the most awesome special ever.

Bloody Roar 3 was perfect.
4 was a mistake... like they completely ruined the entire combat system by changing how the Beast mode works, and made a character who could one shot you by burning your entire beast mode bar.
Sounds bad lol. Hopefully I'll be able to cover these games someday!
They really missed the chance to add one or two dinosaurs to the roster of charakters ^^ Other then that.. i played the first game and i enjoyed it so far.. true.. the cutscenes are a bit of a meh... but the rest was fun ^^
My reaction to the lack of dinosaurs was so primal, I almost broke into a rage.

I've played/owned all of the games except for 3. Kinda of a shame because I like the beast designs in that game the most
Oh and neat little tidbit about Shenlong in BR2: he's quite literally Long's 2P costume from the first game, right down to the beast form.

I own 1-3 and I bought them a few years ago. Before that I had only ever played a demo of 2 and I think the full version of 2 which I rented.
I hear that 4 is bad.
I remember reading about how there was a mode removed from 4 for the English releases because the mode allowed you to pose characters and you could make some dirty poses which were considered too rude for English speaking countries lol
@@Gamesta100 First time I heard of something like that. Pretty absurd given they went out of their way to design a pure fanservice-y character like Nagi
I believe the main complaint with BR4 was the decision to make the health and Beast gauges a shared resource. Made fights drag out longer than they needed to be and made little sense as your beast gauge is also essentially a second life bar. Seems like a comeback mechanic on paper, but it's just awkward

Games couldn't get away with the same things in English speaking games that Japanese games could.
Like one of the Fatal Fury games has a knockout that shows Blue Mary's bare boobs in Japan but was removed for the English releases.
