Just picked one of these up! Thouh I went with the Q8-SR. It wasn't really descibed clearly, but the three models break down like this. The first, most expensive shown here, Q8-GR uses Qanba's Gravity buttons, as well as it's new, silent lever. Next, the one I ordered, comes with Silent Gravity buttons, but a standard Sanwa JLF lever. The 3rd and cheapest is the Q8-SS which uses Both the JLF lever, and Sanwa OBSF buttons. Almost every other feature is the same aside from the LEDs, which are only removed entirely for the cheapest model. So honestly it's also part preferrence. I use the JLF almost exclusively, and personally don't really like silent sticks, but I've been really wanting to try the Gravity buttons, and especially their new switches. And by the way, anyone looking to use this on other platforms, Brook's lineup of USB converters is very extensive now. And since you can switch to D- or X-input on the stick, I'd recommend a converter for XB1 to you personal console. The only issues seem to be around PS5 but that is unfortnately an issue with any stick not directly for PS5. Sony did the same thing with PS4, which I guess is just attempting to prevent the use of use of 3rd party controllers. I get it, but with things like stcks with high prices and few options, it's really lame that Sony is the only company using this measure. I do beieve there is a workaround, which despite being a bit of a hassle, actually does work. I don't have a PS5, so I can't confirm, and definitely check into it before going that route. I'm primarily a PC player, so it's not realy a problem for me. Hope that cleared a few things up. Can't wait to try this bad boy out!
Forgot to mention that you can set each button to a completely different color. Also to note the weight is at 8.3 pounds, putting it on the heavier end for sure.
PC/Android only is a bummer. I don't get why they went with this decision when most tournaments run on PS4. Doesn't really feel like a Qanba Obsidian successor.
I agree. I think it's the to test the market over in China since this doesn't have an actual US release yet but the base is solid and I'd guess they're waiting for PS5 stuff to start kicking up before making a next gen console stick.
Just found my next stick purchase! I was debating on doing a build with the ks buttons but having it there anyway in such a nice package. Wonder if there’s a Korean lever I can fit in there.
It has DirectInput, so in theory it could work on the PS3. Wish someone with the stick could test that out. But overall, nice stick. Just a shame you can't use this at a tournament since most tourneys use PS4s which idk if there's a way to make it native compatible.
You can attach a converter dongle on the end to switch to another input. You said it has direct input. If you use a magic ns adapter. It can emulate that dinput into Nintendo switch pro controller. Or if you had a Titan One device you could convert that dinput into any other system. Dinput is never going away and I'm glad these emulator dongles exist.
As time goes on, I really wish rather than the Titan and Obsidian 2, they just did a PS5 version of the Q8 for like $249. It just seems a better product than the Titan despite being cheaper and maybe even nicer than the Obsidian 2 tbh.
Bought one of these guys and I'm trying to find out where I can get an octo gate for it. The restrictor gate's one of those annoying proprietary ones. Can't find any information on this for whatever reason, not even on reddit. If anybody's got some info on where to get an octo gate for this stick I'd heavily appreciate it.
@@UnknownGamer_metal If you got the one with a Qanba silent joystick you're gonna need a proprietary octo gate that they sell on their website. Sadly I don't think I still have the order confirmation email but I'm sure if you dig through their websites or email them you should be able to find the listing for it.
Is this silent stick an optical one or does it have microswitches? I need silent stick and I'm using optical right now, but I hate the lack of "physical feedback" of it
I know this comment is like 6 months old, but the Gravity lever used in the Q8 and that you can buy from some retailers uses keyboard mechanical switches mounted like microswitches. So there's more physical feedback than optical, but same or less than silent microswitches.
Other than the RBG lights at 200 bucks it needs a detachable cable design with quick access button to open the case to mod etc see the razor at 99 - 199.99 bucks it a much better complete fightstick etc, just lacks RBG but better in every other departments, its also pc only which is not a great idea, maybe 99 bucks its more like it etc

Thanks for the info.
Wish they'd went with the Noir layout. Would have taken the plunge.
Just mod it

I wonder if a Brook adapter make this stick usable on a PS5 or so?
It feels next gen despite limited compatibility!

Awesome arcade stick controller!

DID you manage to kit a Korean in, in the end?
Why is one of your buttons an off yellow color compared to all the others?
I'm wondering if we can mod the artwork
Are you able to change the art in this?
I wish someone would make a controller for atari games like kaboom a simple wheel to spin back and forth along with pinball style buttons on the top
I really like the new design. It'd be great if they offered a 1st party option to convert the stick to all button.

you might be able to mod it with Brook universal fighting board which will become compatible with almost everything
@@ranelopeturner8667 ok but if mean loosing the lightbuttons its stupid

I wonder if its Crown Lever friendly?
It is not according to a friend that is familiar.
does it come with 8 gate restrictor? and can it play in ps5 using brook wingman?

what's the best silent option for ps5?

I shared this comment with a Qanba rep. Email kf at qanba.com to help. That’s KF
Thanks, apparently they do sell them. Had to check which of the two lever models I'm using. Just bought it. 🤘

Is there a silent arcade stick luke this that works on the switch?
mod any stick with a brook UFB

@@Doyoulike4I bought one months ago and loved it. I couldn`t play well in optical and this solved my problem
Does it work on ps3? I want to play Marvel vs Capcom 2 on it,,,does the stick work as arcade style for the high jumps for characters in MvC2?
Sucks it's PC and Android only.
I wish the border would be led aswell cuz it makes the led kinda worthless
ᑭᖇOᗰOᔕᗰ 🤷
Am I the only one who thinks this stick is ugly lol
Looks like a trash can.
