I have read this story many times and never was I able to see it the way you have just shown it to me. I haven't been to confession in years and over the last week it seems I am being led that way in everything I read and watch. Thank you Bishop for helping to open my eyes and regain my sight. It's time to throw off that old cloak and make sure I'm on the right path.
Please, please, please, go to Confession. It is a gift of such power and mercy. It should never be neglected. If I were your friend, if I knew you, I would offer to take you myself and hold your hand all the way to the confessional door, if that's what you needed. Call a priest, make an appointment, and just do it. I will say a prayer for you.
@@kevinkelly2162........Kevin, maybe you were deeply heart by a "pedophile protector" and consequently your feelings make sense. Don't let that small percent of evil "priests and bishops" who have learned to use the Church to practice their evil. Jesus suffered much greater evil and indignities from the "Church" leaders of the old covenant (Temple religion of the Old Testament). The High Priest himself had Jesus tortured and crucified but Jesus never turned from the God (the Father) who created the old covenant Temple religions and priesthood. Do not let evil men in the Church turn you from the love and mercy of your creator. 2:39 "I can't solve it on my own...'I can just kind of...make my life better.' No, you can't!"~Bishop Barron😁 "Jesus is the still point." Kyrie, eléison🙏
As usual ,a homily filled with wisdom .Thank you Bishop, for feeding Jesus hungry lamb and Sheep. How I wished more Priests/Bishops preached with " Solid Food " like the way you delivered this very " Spiritual food" for Jesus spiritually hungry people. Bartimaeus story always reminds me of the woman who was bleeding for 12 years. Her " touch" made Jesus turned around and felt his power went out out from him because of the " Faith-from-the-heart' from the woman.Attached with her Faith was an " action " as her way of executing her faith. Bartimaeus has a very similar spiritual journey with this woman's. Bartimaeus suffered from physical blindness , heard about Jesus Godly works, probably everything Jesus did during his ministry and although he did not see his works due to his blindness , Bartimaeus BELIEVE , which brings us to Jesus own words... " Blessed are those who have not seen and yet, believe" Bartimaeus has " Faith-from-the-heart" and when he activated it, it made Jesus " stood still" because just like the woman who was bleeding for 12 years that made Jesus turned around from his chaotic and noisy environment, so is Bartimaeus voice who " asks" and because he asked from the " heart" and not just from his lips. Jesus heard and granted his request/prayer/petition. What you said here is very true. As a sinner who approach and calls on Jesus name, we ought to do the same.......with Faith from the heart. We all live within the border of " Jericho", with residents who are swimming in sins, Mortal and Venial, and because everyone's a sinner, we can's ask advise from any of our neighbors, for their response would just t be...." Everyone's doing it" and the sinning continues. The most common excuse from Christians is this line....." We're all like filthy/dirty rags". We don't have to be .We can clean that dirty rag, by avoiding " dirty places", by not wiping that rag into something we know can turn that rag undescribably filthy. We can avoid spots/places that made that rag dirty/filthy, but it takes courage, dedication, loyalty and faithfulness to the very Holy one we want to present that rag to be " clean" and it can be done, by avoiding to become filthy, which is very DOABLE, we can keep that rag clean. Catholics, WE can do it, as long as Jesus is your main focus and not the World/society. Try pleasing the " invisible' and not the " visible" beings and we can make the visible one " stood still and turn around" and say...... "Who touched me"? Or "WHO called on my name"? and we can EACH say our name..... "It's me , Lord, Linda". Then, Jesus will ask...." What do you want from me, Linda" and I can say....... " Please make my Faith stronger, so I can be faithful to you till my time here is over ", and the Jesus I KNEW, will. Thank you, Bishop for this GREAT video! Linda Worsham..
Well said Linda , the last time I spoke with you was 3 months ago the last day before your break from work , and your big clean up at home . it is great to see you are in such good form spiritually , with such an excellently written essay God bless you
God bless you Bishop Barron. I began attending Word on Fire classes in London over ten years ago and I loved them. Now I have your UA-cam videos as well. Like Bishop Sheen, you get right to the “heart of the matter”. Thank you ❤🙏🏻
Being with Jesus: "Let this be your greatest desire. Be with him as the Apostles were and, earlier in Nazareth, Mary and Joseph. Speak to him intimately, listen to him, and follow him docilely." Pope J.P. 2nd. Sorrento, March 19, 1992.
Thank you so much for this very important message for the "spirit of our age" - that sin binds, blinds, multiplies and deadens. In Christ alone is our cure. Kyrie Eleison.
Bishop Barron: The Church has always stood against Pelagianism, the view that one can pull oneself up morally by one's own bootstraps and make one's life better. *One has to give oneself over to a 'higher power.'*
The Church also stands against Calvinism, the view that our free will does not cooperate with God's grace freely received, and that God arbitrarily chooses who gets saved and who gets damned.
I am honestly super guilty of Pelagianism. I still think that I can make myself "good." I thought only weak people need God or need a higher power or a sense of community to truly fix themselves.
@@IONov990 In the 12 step programs, we call that “self will run riot.” The first of the 12 steps guarantees the gift of total freedom by turning your will and your life over to the care of God. You will be amazed how quickly He turns your self will into calm and peace. It doesn’t mean you’ll never have another bout of thinking you can do it on your own, but you will have invited the still small voice in to your heart to provide a compass. Trust that voice and you’ll receive miracles in your life you never thought possible. Blessings to you!
Thank you Mary,IO . I think that most if not all us sinners are guilty of pelagianism. I once asked , how can I ask God to forgive me for something I can’t forgive myself for doing. The answer was immediate , Christ’s sacrifice is what saves, what heals and shows limitless love. This love is greater than our ability to forgive. Open my eyes Lord. Help me to see your face.🙏♥
I too am begging Christ to heal me. Not only me but my family, a whole restorative web of connectedness. I have a vision of it, and now if only something like it can come to pass. Your kingdom come.
This was an outstanding message and a pathway to calmness and happiness. This lecture coincides and adds to the power of Fr.Dilindo Rutolo’s novena for faith. “Jesus I surrender to you. Take care of everything.” In this gospel Jesus says come ( be near me,) what do you want.? “I want to see” then the most powerful words “your faith has healed you” as in Father Dolino’s novena Jesus said put you faith in me and trust MY will be done. I thoroughly enjoyed this sermon one of your best and helps tie together many things. God bless you Bishop Barron! Amen, amen
Never realised how beautiful this story was until today and coupled with one of the best sermon in my opinion by Bishop Barron, it is truly a vintage one, worth revisiting more often!!
This is very good, very insightful understanding of sin. It is all so true how we cannot expect the help of fellow sinners when we recognise we need help and yes the road to healing is indeed always blocked. This is a good revelation and is in sync with understanding that we should not feel responsibile for the sins of others as a sort of way of never leaving sin ourselves. We need to escape the crowd just so we can be free from sin, in the company of the Lord and in the company of His Church. Then we do not forget about the sinners we have known, but pray for them too, without necessarily endangering ourselves and our souls by going back to them but keeping them in mind and heart and really praying for them.
God is good all the time, all the time God is good. I surrender totally to your Will O my sweet Lord! Praise the Lord for his goodness to me! Alleluia!Amen
"This Son of Mine" by Malcolm Smith is the most eye opening and life changing book to me and many others, after the Bible. It is his latest book published on June 2023 after 70 yrs of preaching. It is a clear insight into who The Father is through a deep view of Lucas 15
Oh my God, I have seen anything like this. Bishop Robert Barron, may the Almighty God bless you and protect you. I am sure the Holy Spirit is working on you, and through you into us. Thanks, thank you very much! 🙏🙏🙏
Dear Bishop Barron: Thank you so much for your homilies each week. We learn so much and they are so very inspiring and practical and, it helps us to better understand the instruction book for life ( The Holy Bible) is trying to give us. We are truly grateful for your messages.
Dear Bishop, I want to thank you for taking the time to listen to those who were frustrated by the music that was playing at the end of your talks and sermons. It is much better without the music because your words are important and we need to hear them so we Can grow in our faith. I noticed there have been a great deal of complaints about this however, I have not seen any thank yous from the people who complained. So allow me to thank you for listening and making the changes that were necessary. I appreciate the time you took to listen to what was said, even if it meant making changes to your website. You are part of my prayer day and I am always looking for the next thing that you will offer. I learn a great deal from you and I wanted you to know how much I appreciate it so thank you again, God bless you
THE LORD IS SO RICH IN LOVE & MERCY, HIS LOVE EXTENDS TO THE OUTER REACHES OF THIS UNIVERSE. THERE IS NO SIN THAT OUR LORD IN HIS MERCY CANNOT FORGIVE. THESE ARE THE WORDS I NEEDED TO HEAR TONIGHT. SOOO TRUE, THE LORD IS NEVER TOO EARLY & NEVER TOO LATE, HE IS ALWAYS ON TIME!!! . THANK YOU JESUS!! FOR WORD ON FIRE!!
Beau...beaut...Beauti.....Beautiful....so beautifully explained...the analogy of the person imprisoned needing to be freed, released by someone who has the key to open the lock to free the prisoner!! This resurrected JESUS and Alive Today as Spirit in the body of the Church (which is 'us' the Believers) IS BOTH, THE KEY AND THE PERSON WITH THE KEY AS WELL...rolled into one, i.e., to whom we need to reach out with the cry to free us from the room of sinful enticements with a self-shutting, self-locking door we keep entering into, again and again and again, again...until we are readied by Jesus (when we permit Him to, so we become what St.Paul describes as "it's not i, but Christ Who lives in me", i.e.) as to be able to fully recognize that the room of sinful enticements is indeed the room with the (hidden) self-locking door...and therefore to NOT be entered into at any cost...may usssss allllllllll...GOD Bless!!!
Thank you bishop Barron. I was amazed knowing for the first time how enrich and powerful this scene of the blind man healed by Jesus🙏 Your words are enlightening and so deep. Thank you for helping us see the spiritual meaning of this scene. God bless you Bishop.
You are definitely onto something here Bishop Barren. Because I cannot help but think (as a sociologist☺️) that in the world today, the poor and poor nations are dependent on the rich or wealthy nations to release them from their lot.. Nations aren’t born into poverty; poverty is ‘made’. God bless you (all) 👍
You make the gospel come alive with the depth and richness we all can strive for if we beg God for the ability to see. Thank you for your Sunday sermons.
Thank you bishop for this incredible sermon. Never heard of this text explained well as such all these while. Inspires me to read scriptures using this method. So exciting. 🙏"Thank You God The Holy Spirit for explaining scriptures through bishop at last🙏🙏"
Reflection on the story of blind Bartimaus has me thinking that if we are to “see,” we really need to admit to our blindness first. If not, sight will prevent us from seeing Jesus.
i am always so grateful to be able to turn to your utube preachings as I feel safe in following you. Faith saved me!❤️🕯️
As usual ,a homily filled with wisdom .Thank you Bishop, for feeding Jesus hungry lamb and Sheep.
" Blessed are those who have not seen and yet, believe"
Bartimaeus has " Faith-from-the-heart" and when he activated it, it made Jesus " stood still" because just like the woman who was bleeding for 12 years that made Jesus turned around from his chaotic and noisy environment, so is Bartimaeus voice who " asks" and because he asked from the " heart" and not just from his lips.
Or
"WHO called on my name"?
and we can EACH say our name.....
"It's me , Lord, Linda". Then, Jesus will ask...." What do you want from me, Linda"
and I can say.......
" Please make my Faith stronger, so I can be faithful to you till my time here is over ", and the Jesus I KNEW, will.
Thank you, Bishop for this GREAT video!
Linda Worsham..
Well said Linda , the last time I spoke with you was 3 months ago the last day before your break from work , and your big clean up at home . it is great to see you are in such good form spiritually , with such an excellently written essay
God bless you
I love Jesus when he already knows who needs forgiveness and He's Heart is filled with Grace to pour out and all we need to do is ask the Lord!!!
Glory to Jesus

Yes, indeed☆
I too am begging Christ to heal me. Not only me but my family, a whole restorative web of connectedness. I have a vision of it, and now if only something like it can come to pass. Your kingdom come.
This was an outstanding message and a pathway to calmness and happiness. This lecture coincides and adds to the power of Fr.Dilindo Rutolo’s novena for faith. “Jesus I surrender to you. Take care of everything.”
In this gospel Jesus says come ( be near me,) what do you want.? “I want to see” then the most powerful words “your faith has healed you” as in Father Dolino’s novena Jesus said put you faith in me and trust MY will be done.
I thoroughly enjoyed this sermon one of your best and helps tie together many things. God bless you Bishop Barron! Amen, amen
Never realised how beautiful this story was until today and coupled with one of the best sermon in my opinion by Bishop Barron, it is truly a vintage one, worth revisiting more often!!
Dear Bishop Barron, from Sydney, l sincerely thank you for such a stunning homily. God bless you.
Praise God for this message. Bishop, your homilies never fail to bring the Holy Scriptures to life. Thank you for sharing.
May God bless you, Isreal the USA and may all glory be to Our Lord Jesus the Most High
Wonderful Homily, Bishop! If we just open our eyes, there is SO MUCH to be seen! Many Many Thanks!
Open you eyes to who Bishop Barron follows, he isn't who you think.
Randy MacAllister,
Yes there is SO MUCH to be seen.
God bless you for your gracious Presence☆
"This Son of Mine" by Malcolm Smith is the most eye opening and life changing book to me and many others, after the Bible. It is his latest book published on June 2023 after 70 yrs of preaching. It is a clear insight into who The Father is through a deep view of Lucas 15
We are blessed to have Bishop Barron with us. He is a living saint. Glory be to God!
Thank you Bishop Barron from Cape Town, Christ is the still point that draws us in speaks to me.
Oh my God, I have seen anything like this. Bishop Robert Barron, may the Almighty God bless you and protect you. I am sure the Holy Spirit is working on you, and through you into us. Thanks, thank you very much! 🙏🙏🙏
Lets follow the example of Bartimaeus and ask the Lord for help in humility.
Son of David have mercy on us
I am so grateful for your homilies. I learn so much in only a few minutes. Thank you!
Bishop Barron, you indeed inspired me.
I learn a great deal from you and I wanted you to know how much I appreciate it so thank you again, God bless you
Thank you dear Bishop for this wonderful Gospel proclamation. God bless you!!!
What a gift! Thank you, Bishop Barron! It is difficult to follow the narrow path, but it is true trust in Jesus when we do...
Me: "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the living God, have mercy of me, a sinner"
Lord: "What do you want me to do for you"
Me: "Lord, I want to see"
That’s powerful!!!
ASK WITH A SINCERE HEART & YOU SHALL MOST CERTAINLY RECEIVE
The proper stance is to beg for help to be delivered from sin. wow. I love this idea.
God bless you Bishop Barron, thank you for your service to us all.
You are definitely onto something here Bishop Barren. Because I cannot help but think (as a sociologist☺️) that in the world today, the poor and poor nations are dependent on the rich or wealthy nations to release them from their lot.. Nations aren’t born into poverty; poverty is ‘made’. God bless you (all) 👍
Freudian slip😊 Bishop Barron God bless you!
This is where I want to be, with Bishop Barron. Thanks for another great sermon. (I’m being evangelized and it’s a real good thing.)
Thank you for your work
You make the gospel come alive with the depth and richness we all can strive for if we beg God for the ability to see. Thank you for your Sunday sermons.
Thanks and God bless you Bishop Baron. You always speak with such clarity
Our support is our praying community, a very precious gift and blessing to find our true brothers and sisters seeking Jesus with us 🙏
A powerful teaching, Bishop. Thank you for this.
Thank you bishop for this incredible sermon. Never heard of this text explained well as such all these while. Inspires me to read scriptures using this method. So exciting. 🙏"Thank You God The Holy Spirit for explaining scriptures through bishop at last🙏🙏"
Que le Tout Puissant vous comble toujours de sa sagesse et vous soutienne !
Merci bcp Mgr Barron

How beautiful. Jesus, son of God have mercy on me.! Thank you Bishop Barron.
Glory to Jesus
Thank be to God (and thru Bishop Barron voice) to save our sinful soul ❤️❤️❤️❤️
It's an incredible homily. Thanks, Bishop Barron. This video was a great message for me.
One million subscribers! Woo-hoo! Just in time for Lent 2024
God bless you Bishop Barron. Thank you for having responded to God’s call.
Reflection on the story of blind Bartimaus has me thinking that if we are to “see,” we really need to admit to our blindness first. If not, sight will prevent us from seeing Jesus.
Bishop Barron, you are a great gift to the church. Thank you, and continue to teach us
i am always so grateful to be able to turn to your utube preachings as I feel safe in following you. I have been drawn to some others and then realize they are attacking the chosen Shepherd Pope Francis in their preachings. With you I find authentic Church teachings obedient to the Magesterium of Holy Mother Church. Thank you dear Bishop Baron and God bless you and keep you to continue to minister to His flock.
Glory to Jesus
