Stay away from the Canons. I have both Fujinon and Canons and the TechnoStabis blow them away. I’ve been using the original TS for something like 15-plus years or so. The fact that image stabilization has been improved in the new TSX and they are lighter and more compact make them a winner!
Hi Jeff. First off, great video. On Fraser's website they claim it to be buoyant. Also, there is a video of billy dropping his Frasers from his boat and he came back around to scoop it. Other than that you were on point with everything else in the video.

Please how is Fujinon TSX 14140 with chromatic aberration, false colours ? Because I just returned Canon 14X32 IS -very very bad in this, really shame-"rainbow" instead of branches or birds against sky!!!Than I found on Canon website full technical specification and the line 10,12,14X32 IS has zero UD, ufufuf, and I didnt buy 15-50 IS WP because was cheaper,so I logically assumed higher quality of 14X32.BTW.15,18X50 IS WP have 1 UD , 10X42 L has 2 UD. But now I dont believe in Canons, so I am very interested in this Fujinon,thanks a lot for your opinion!!!
So these polarizing filters were not available when I got these. In fact it took me like 3 months to even get these Fujinons cause they were so new. Fujinon doest sell lense filters anymore but they are 48mm in size, but their tech support says the 49mm will work also. Ive ordered a set and will try em out when I get em. There was some inexpensive 49mm on amazon that were worth a try.
@@ChasingPelagics Thanks for the info. I ended up getting the 49mm filters because they were the least expensive and most common option. Unfortunately they did not fit my Fujinon TS--X 1440. It looks like the 48mm will work since the 49mm are so close.

I picked up the fujinon 14x40 but found it very difficult to get focused and once the stabilizer would kick in while I start to pan around, the image would get blurry making them unusable. I have returned them but wonder if you have encountered any issues or have some tips to get them calibrated.
If you can afford to choose, do not get a bino that has rubberized surface. The surface of my Canon 10x30 IS II bino became sticky and melted off after just a few years of light usage. Canon quoted a repair cost that is simply outrageous; will never buy another Canon IS bino again!
Hi what would you recommend for in-car use on a cannonball run style event to spot for police ahead? I’m thinking a 10-12X as a higher magnification would be too much? Perhaps a Fuji 10X isb i have gathered... surely the isb would still work for in car use or would the motion be too rapid for it to keep up? Thanks

Stabilization is 20% better on the tsx, among other improvements over the ts. You don't give your reasons, but other than the fact that the older model is cheaper, as far as I can tell, tsx is definitely superior to the tx.

I have fujis. Great for sport fishing BUT after 3 years they stopped working. Sent to fujinon for repair. $550 over a month and still waiting.

They are, they are sealed and purged with nitrogen, they do float. However the black booted one will be hard to spot. Best to get yellow.

I’ve only been looking at water, so I can’t help you on birds on branches 😂. From what I’ve seen so far, not noticeable.

If your on flat land the cannons would be fine
thats why I didn't go with the canons!

Currently looking now. Have you tried the 12x28 Fujinons? They are just significantly cheaper
They only have 3 degrees of stable, that’s not enough

There is a ton out there and various applications. Any good 7x50 Steiner, Bushnell, Nikon or similar brand.

The TSX- 1440 would actually be perfect for that application

tsx are not great, rather have the original ts
