Cost and Profit analysis of Spring Maize 2025 || Crop Reformer

In this video, the cost of production and profit from the spring maize crop have been discussed briefly. Sowing time plays a crucial role in getting a better yield of a crop. It is an essential point in the production technology of crops. Sometimes, early sowing of maize becomes difficult due to changing weather and climate conditions. Fertilisers have the most important role in maize crop growth and production, but they are getting more and more expensive. Maize production has become very expensive due to higher rates of phosphorus and potash fertilisers. Under the scenario of rising prices of fertilisers and salt-affected soil conditions, we have suggested a well-balanced schedule of acidic fertilisers. Weather conditions are normal and favourable for the growth and development of maize crops. Even then, maize crop is under stress where it has been cultivated in the new areas other than the traditional one. The most important reason may be salt stress contributed either through soil or use of marginally fit water for maize production. Use of sulphur (Kumulus or Structure-acidic NPK product of FMC) or sulphuric acid has been suggested to open the pore spaces. Excessive irrigation or severe shortage of water may also lead to stress.
