Brian Germain and Dean Ricci have great books on fear. Solo, stress free jumps really helped me when I was going through AFF. I think you should watch all of the TEEM videos and learn how your gear works. Read and watch everything skydiving. Take a canopy course right away!
I have 2 tandem and 8 solo jumps. That first tandem I was calm as can be until the door open. Then I was scared shitless. The second tandem was better. My first solo jump I was also terrified. Even on my latest (8th solo) I'm still freaked out leaving that plane. I love the canopy flying of skydiving so that's the only reason I jump lol.
I've got 3 tandems under my belt. Two, 23 years ago, and most recent was 2019. On the last one, I felt door terror until I was out of the plane. That surprised me. I noticed that when I was at that place mentally, so was everything else I worried about just flooding my being. The jump went great, but I needed to handle my business; kids, career, and all my obligations not being ok. I learned that my life was out of balance. Hopefully soon, I can get my rating.
Can you do a video on how to measure risers? i was told I needed shorter risers and a friend gave me his. but how do i know i got the right size? where do i measure from? Thanks.
To me this common sense seems to apply to other areas of life. Thanks for the good show blue skies fun days.
Thank you u love feel the fear and do it anyway
Great acronym for FEAR and your videos are always appreciated! Thanks for keeping us vigilant and continually learning!

embrace your fears and they will diminish.

Low altitude aircraft failure is my biggest fear. I'm always looking for landing areas while climbing.
I experienced some intense fear, now have 66 jumps. Haven't been able to jump in a year and life is not the same it's quite dull.
