I don't care what anybody says, I absolutely loved both Rob Zombie's Halloween movies....🎃🎃🙌🏼
Same!!
Rob is great at the visual but terrible at writing. Part 2 went off the rails with the white horse visions nonsense which ruined the movie.
Exactly i still really dont understand what everyone loves about original halloween, its fucking awful,i get its of its time but its boring slow&bad
Rob Zombie >>>>>>> Gordon Green
I was fortunate to see this when it came out and at the time there was a lot of direct to dvd slasher movies that used a lot of practical effects for the kills so it was nice to see a theatrical release at the time
Rob Zombie's Halloween Dualogy is what got me into the Halloween franchise. Although in terms of the franchise, Halloween II (2009) wasn't the best in the series. I like how it did something different and it seemed like Rob tried to make a unique entry. It works as its own horror film rather than something related to the series.
Also, the Dualogy was far more creative and frightening than anything in the DDG Trilogy.
I agree, not a big fan of the DGG trilogy.
First entry is pretty solid
However, the 2nd one is by far Zombie's most personal take on the franchise.
Of all things he's done, making Laurie equally psychopath as Michael was a nice addition to the franchise's mythos.
Thats why I didnt liked the David Gordon Green trilogy, since Laurie is no longer blood related to Michael Myers then theres no purpose for him to follow her
ANOTHER great video. Found your other video on Halloween 1 (Zombie) and thought it was phenomenal. This is just as good. I truly love these movies. So happy to see I’m not the only one.
Glad you found the channel and like the videos! It means a ton, really. And Halloween is coming 🎃
@@MaxMira_sorry Bro but this film was garbage. Rob Zombie is nothing but a narcissist who constantly contradicts himself. I don't even have to name examples. Just him trying to remake the film in general is a giant contradiction as he was quoted saying how remaking these classic horror films is stupid.
And I'm sorry but you're not reviewing this with the mindset of a film critic. You're reviewing it with the mindset of a Rob Zombie fan. The white horse bullshit has no business whatsoever in any type of Halloween film PERIOD. It's merely an excuse to bring his wife back in the film. When I seen you defending and agreeing with the whole thing it was pretty evident where your mindset was. I had to stop there and it was pretty much in the beginning. Sherri Moon Zombie is beyond a joke. She's a fucking insult to all actresses in the business. For Zombie to put her as a lead in all his films shows he sucks at directing.
I'm guessing that you probably think her acting is Oscar worthy because im telling you bro you're the only one.
I love Robs take on the franchise. I agree with your thoughts completely. This movie is not pretty, it’s not fun, it’s not a normal slasher. It’s a character study and deep dive into trauma and what different people go through after something horrific happens. Good vids!!!! Keep ‘em coming
Exactly, not what you’d expect from a Halloween sequel but good nonetheless! Glad you liked the video
great stuff! i’ve always had a soft spot for Rob’s entries. though i do prefer the theatrical version of II
I need that documentary so badly! If we get that, i can die happy
Just rewatched ALL of the Halloween films over the weekend, culminating in the RZ Duology, and still stand that aside from the original film, these are the best of the series!
Loved this analysis
Great video. I've never really understood the hate towards this film! RZ did something different, a remake shouldn't always be a direct copy of the original film. If you wanted to see another Halloween 2 (1981), just watch Halloween 2 (1981).
I feel the same way and wish he deviated more from the original in his first film too. Either way he made two very decent films in my opinion.
Theres a re-edited cut of 2 of Zombies version it’s light years better than what we really got so if I can play back the theatrical version of 2007 and the 2009 re-edit I love them too their hidden gems 💎 🎃
COLE EDITS’ fan cut?
these are the best. wish he made a third.
The 🐐 is back
That's why I love the Halloween movies and Michael the most out of all franchises love the psychology Michaels everyone else victims survivors all fascinating lol ! Especially Michaels lol ?
I think the reason I have an aversion to Rob Zombie's Halloween movies is because they are so miserable. Not that I think they're bad movies, by any means, but it's like Requiem for a Dream. Fantastic movie, but I will never have the urge to feel what that movie made me feel ever again.
Yeah I completely agree, it’s utterly depressing and nihilistic.
Great videos man.P! Question,,,,Where do you get the art for these thumbnails? Cheers!
I think the Zombie remake will get more love as it gets older.... I didnt mind the first one, i liked it, i wasnt so big on the second one but wasnt bad.
Yeah as it ages I think people get less angry at it and accept it for what it is
@@MaxMira_ Yea 100%, since its been 15 years since its been out i think people are changing there stance on it.. I know i am.
Hold up. Ga residence were not hostile to rob and the crew. I was a Deputy Sheriff in the county it was filmed in, I was heavy involved for security for filming and at no time was their a problem. And I was lucky enough to meet the whole cast and got autographs from all.

New subscriber! You are doing great work. Thank you! 🎃 🔪
Thank you! Glad you like the videos. 🎃
Sub earned.
Also, Michael grunting sounds very animalistic. He is portrayed as a monster but also human
Plus you make connections between Halloween movies and Michael to everything lol. Any movie or show has someone evil and Michael is basically the source of all evil or one component of it and spreading it around lol. Plus lots of similar scenes and lines can connect it to everything lol. Some could be origin stories for michael like in insidious or paranormal activity or other movies like hereditary lol. Funny enough in the novelization it basically is like hereditary but no one made a deal dude was cursed killed and he picked the Myers bloodline or he's part of it so he possesses most of the male members of the family maybe ships some but in novelization Michaels grandfather or somebody had snapped and killed a couple at a party next in line is Michael so now he's killing couples for most part lol . but it being passed down family is hereditary lol.
I also understand Laurie’s lash outs and behavior but it still doesn’t make her real likable, more realistic though
Its funny how people like the rinse and repeat formula but hate when they do something different though I bet even if they Stayed with the rinse and repeat people would still complain over time why don't you do something different original even lol ?
My mother thinks Rob Zombies Halloweens are up there as some of the goriest and most scary movies she saw. Not even the DGG trilogy scared her.
She’s a real G for that, in my opinion his 2 films are better than the new trilogy. Much more thought and creativity put into Rob’s movies than the new ones. Though I do still enjoy the DGG ones.
That was Laurie’s Theme at the end of the theatrical cut, not the Halloween theme.
Yeah you’re right, I meant to say A classic Halloween theme as it’s the only piece of typical Halloween music in the movie. My bad
@@MaxMira_ That’s okay, sir!
I don't care for Rob Zombie's Halloween remake. John Carpenter is my favorite movie director and his Halloween is obviously perfect. However, the movie that almost everyone loves to hate I've always liked, and that is Rob Zombie's Halloween II.
I didn’t care for the second one it seemed so put together like he was making it up as he went along. I like Rob Zombie just didn’t really care for this movie.
I'm sorry that you don't like The Moody Blues...lol
Nights in white satin is ok, can’t get into much of their other stuff.
Rob's biggest problem is Rob. He's great at the visual and horrendous with story. The white horse family visions derail the entire 2nd which starts out brilliantly @ the hospital......Then, a complete nose-dive.
Could not agree with you more about Dahmer. I’m a gay man and after watching it I was so upset they tried to make Dahmer into this hunky, sympathetic, sexualized character. I was disgusted with it. Won’t even watch American Horror Story anymore because of how badly he produced that piece of crap. Did same thing with the Versace killer.
The Dahmer show is by far the worst example of straight up glorifying serial killers. Not only that but it profits off the victims pain without any type of consent. There’s too many examples of this to even count which is really sad.
Both RZ's Halloween abominations are pure trash imo
