Time waiting for action goes by very slowly but when things happen it can be so quick. The eagles have just started incubation a fresh clutch of eggs... so let's see what happens this year thank you
Thank you, glad that people can appreciate wildlife in absolute freedom. The mountain where this was filmed just burnt 2 days ago... fortunately there were no nestling but the other animals will be having a tough, hot summer as a result of man's stupidity!
Thank you, I would like to do a proper edit of the entire footage one day but wanted each filming session to be independent so an enthusiast could compare the differences of intervals. I was ecstatic to get the 1st flight after so much time there and luck was on my side.
Thank you so much, they are such beautiful birds and the youngster must have become very bored, which provided some comic behaviour. Patience, consistently visiting the site and waiting for the rewards.... with a huge amount of luck, as the flight scene could have happened when I wasn't there ...but then that is wildlife film!
thank you, it was an absolutely wonderful opportunity and I still hope one day to edit all the footage into a dedicated short film instead of 5 "progress updates" of the Black Eagle chick, from egg to flight,
Thank you, one day I would like to edit the 5 sequences into a 3 to 5 minute story. It was only done this way, as I wanted to upload each visit individually... I was very fortunate and patience paid off in full, regards dan
@@matthewtrebs9738 hi Matthew lots of competition from other Raptors and very vulnerable on the nest before they can fly... even though the nest site is high up and difficult to reach... baboons can get to most sites.
Thank you Anna a new season has begun and the seven week old chick is doing well, has a huge appetite ... the nick-name so far is "Piglet". The parents are very observant and it was also interesting to watch their behaviour with a troop of baboons which hung around the nest area for a day
@@danielchristen8908 fantastic. I often have a bird camera up. I am in Ontario and film mostly hummingbirds and Blue Jays, I'm in the Greater Toronto Area after all!
@@H_savv4848 Noooo, i think you misunderstood. A juvenile is what we call a fledgling! A bird that is still young, but is at the age that can fly! 😅 there's no reason to call anyone names. She wasn't insulting the bird.
Competition is tough for Raptors... even your 1st flight is not sacred and at the same time these aerial encounters are the only way to learn and hone your skills... but it is like a baby's first steps and someone pulls the rug out.
Hi Leslie, the cam was freestanding on a tripod under a tree on a rocky ledge, approximately 60m from the nest. All filming was done as and when there was action. Only the one egg shot was taken from the peak above the nest and no further approach was done during nestling or fledgling phase, so as to prevent risk to the youngster. Regards dan
THE FEELING IN MY HEART IS THAT OF EXCITEMENT N WONDER ENJOYING THE BEAUTY OF THE EAGLE'S AND THEIR FLIGHT INTO FREEDOM.

What a beautiful baby.
It is, isn't it and such amazing energy

I love how eagles look as though they are wearing chaps 🥰😂
OH YES! THANKYOU FOR LIFTING ME UP AS MUCH AS THE BEAUTY OF THESE WONDROUS CREATURES
Oh to fly.... we can but dream.
For your info, the adults are sitting on eggs again..
Wow, so beautiful - great shots! Really impressive.
thank you Glad you enjoyed it
I enjoyed this a lot!,, wasn't able to find first flight in eagle documentaries before

great music and pictures
Thank you... I enjoy the music and thoroughly enjoyed filming it. I was incredibly fortunate to witness the first flight
Truly beautiful and profound. Thank you!
Incredible! Thank you
This was really cool. Great footage and I liked the music. Maybe it's because I grew up with that, but it fit I think.
What a beautiful Eagle.
The Al Green song was a nice touch lol
It's just such great music!
Thanks for sharing video good beautiful
Thank you it made me very happy to witness and film the eagles... it makes me equally happy to share
This time period must be really scary for them. And they’re so vulnerable to predators when they’re just learning.
Goof
Good
They never alone but a-gree finally a VDO where u actually get to see them for the first time thanks.)
Do eagles have any predators?

Right there is what courage looks like...
Yes absolutely and imagine that feeling of true freedom.
Love the music
Aww .... picking up the feather reminds me of dumbo. Lol
It was preventing boredom by playing with anything possible. Eventually you are so bored that you will fly with your wings... not your ears!
Amazing video
Fantastic
Thank you it was a very special time and absolute fortune to film the first flight
Music choice sublime!
Thank you, I try use music which appeals and adds to the visuals as random music can often be negative.
They do look more pronounced... birds in tights, I suppose in the video, one can see the full length as the eagles stretches before final lift-off
Beautiful
Thank you, much appreciated daniel
so cute! 😳💖
Thank you Anna

Wonderful. The music devastated your video though
Thanks, that's why one has music score... ideally the 5 episodes will be edited into one chronological story with the right music.
