I have shade Universal and shade 9. Shade universal I use all over, mix it with other foundations, put it on my brows, lips, mix it with her color fix product for a cheek, lip, eye color, and even to set my makeup after I finish applying everything. Put a little on my triangle puff. 😩 It does Everything! Hope u will love ur correct shade!

I think you need to mention that this brand is created by a Black makeup artist. As an MUA and someone who worked in skincare for over 10 yrs,i found that brand created by Black women tend to have less issues with skintone, matching dark or deep skin and more likely to be made for combo or oily skin.
100% As a white person with super oily skin, I spent years using the wrong skin care/makeup because my area is mainly white women into cosmetics why dry to normal skin.
I’ll trust a black woman with my life and skin over anyone.

I own the universal shade and I use it as a finisher. It blends everything together and takes the harshness of powder away. Try it as a finisher.

I use universal as a primer. In a tutorial she said that the universal version has more of the oil/sweat absorption. Should also give universal time to set down if you do get it as it becomes more matte and blurred

I gotta draw a line at pits😆 But I agree, its important to let the universal sit for a few minutes. I put it on as soon as I get a light moisturizer or my vitamin c on, go get dressed and come back and it looks entirely different. Face is blurred and the sheen is gone. I've noticed a difference when I am rushing and pile on foundation immediately-doesn't work as well. This is also FANTASTIC for powder only days! Gives it a nice base to cling to without changing the color of your product.

I can’t do my makeup without the universal balm on my t-zone as primer. I use the tiniest amount just around my nose…..and magically the smallest of shine at the end of the day. An oily girl dream!!!

Beautiful! This is the first complexion product I've used where I hit pan haha. I was a little nervous about the shade selection, but it matches sooo well. Its absolutely amazing!

This stuff is EVERYTHING!!! I initially purchased the universal shade and shade 9, thinking I would use the universal as a primer under my liquid foundations. Fast forward almost a year later and I think I've only used the universal shade a few times as I've only worn regular foundations a handful of times because the color balm has been clutch. As a true oily girl, I definitely keep this on hand and now the flushed cheek and lip colors too.
Look this product works so well for girls who can't makeup. I'm glad people are finally getting on it.
I love this product so much! I use Universal, shade 9 (foundation), and shade 10 as a contour. I wear this in the heat and for salsa dancing with no issues. Hopefully the other shade works better for you!

@@Ohemaa I think it definitely will! today I did what you described and used 11 on the outer perimeter of my face which is darker and 10 in the center... it's just my skin but better! and I'm an oily girl too... it was several hours before my nose started shining.

I wear shade 9. Been using it off and on since beginning of the year. I use it as a primer or alone as a skin tint/foundation. A little goes a long way with all her products. Glad you finally tried it out. Definitely want to see if 11 works better for you.

I’ve been using this for 3 months now. It changes my life! I first used the transparent one, Amazing. You can wear it by itself and your skin will not be oily or use it with your foundation and your foundation that normally gets oily after 2 hours will stay mate. Now I use shade 10 but it’s too dark so i put lighter foundation on top.

I bought the universal shade to use as a primer as I couldn't find my shade in the other colours. I wore it for 14 hours and only my nose was a bit oily, my face is usual oily after 3 hours.
I can definitely see it lasting all day especially with a matte or natural finish foundation on top of it. 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
I love this i been using it for 2 months....over and under my makeup. It keeps my oils in check. It took me forever to get it because the word balm scared me. It mattified without having me casket ready lol
U finally done a review on this, I luv it!! I'm a combination girl and got Shade 10. I wear it as a foundation. I used the Universal Blurring Balm as a primer. Hunny sometimes I don't have to blot my face. I don't know what Danessa put in this but it's the 💣 I did a review on my IG page and to my surprise the diva herself commented on my page!!! Lil old me who doesn't have alot of followers commented on my pic!!! Danessa Myrick is a sweetheart. Since I brought this I haven't touched my other foundation. I already hit pan. I have oily skin but this blurring balm powder is awesome! I use shade #9 with fenty nutmeg setting powder and I only have to blot once a day, if that.
I got the small size of the Universal in a gift box for Jul.4. I applied it as a primer with my hands and it worked well on a heatwave day. I have dry skin, but I sweat a lot, and this keeps my makeup on. I didn’t know to use a brush or use it like a blotting powder Thank You! Maybe I’ll get a tinted one for August🤔

I want to try and love this product so bad. Still, I have such oily skin, anything that says that it will blur my pores and mattify me that's like a balm, or let's be honest, any kind of texture of foundation; everything finds a way of becoming a melty mess within two hours and almost always never works on me. This looked great on you! Do I dare try it...I don't know... have a fantastic weekend!
Humor me, go get the universal shade, use it wear it if it doesn’t do for you what it’s done for so many other and now me(minus any breakouts return it and I’ll give you another (full price of the product) on top of it!! By January 1st of this year I had purchased 2 foundations and I told myself to slow my roll. So I have not purchased any complexion products. But you just sold me on the this balm! I thought it was a primer. And I have so many primers that it made no sense to me to buy another one. But primer that gives light coverage and blurring is another matter. I'm really into less is more right now.
I couldn't figure out what was off around the middle of your face to me I realized you used the Keys concealer, I wonder if it the color, texture wasn't a fit since you need shade 11 or if I don't like how that concealer looks on camera 🤔 I have been on the fence about the balm but I'm SOLD!

The problems I have with balms is that even tho I’m a fry skunked girl with a slightly oily T- Zone ? Balms just look super greasy after like a couple hours unless ur out in cold temps . So this looks stunning but can you do a full day wear test please ? And that will decide wether I’m to purchase or not 😊🙏🏾

I was thinking I would wear universal on days I didn’t want any makeup and you just confirmed for me that it’s definitely doable
I use the universal shade as primer and girl, my makeup last for hours. My face can be so oily you can fry fish with the oils😜😜😜. With is product, my oils are much much less and my makeup don’t breakdown. Girl, I have 3 backups, bought some for friends. It’s amazing. Definitely my holy grail!
