I’m a couple months with my Phonaks. I was worried that the batteries wouldn’t last the day. No problem at all! I have 60% left at bedtime. No regrets.
@@charlescusack1609I have the Audeo 90, so far they have lasted me all day, haven’t needed to charge them. I take them out of the charger around 6:30 on the morning, wear them all day, put them back in the charger around 11 at night.
I currently have Resound Hearing Aids the are 5+ yrs old. They still work very well, but have noted I'm having difficulty with speech understanding. I have noted the Phonak Audelo Sphere Indinio, the Oticon Intent and the Resound Nexia appear to be an improvement for speech. But also need a HA that will help with Tinnitus.
Thanks for your reviews. Someday I hope the AI can recognize and address the background noise from inside the head. My tinnitus totally drowns out conversation.
As a long time wearer of Oticon hearing aids, Opn-1 (4 years) and Real-1 (3 years) I was excited to try the Infinio Sphere. Unfortunately my insurance did not cover them, so I tried the Infinio-90. I would like to see the 90 included in your ratings to see how they stack up against these three. At this point, I’m regretting getting the 90s instead of the Oticon Intent-1, but I have gone past the evaluation period and can’t return them, and my insurance (Medicare Advantage) changed and is not as good as last year’s plan for covering hearing aids. Sigh…
I wonder what the real world speech in noise capabilities are compared to the best case marketing videos presented here. (In other words, when I buy a Big Mac, it never looks like the picture in the McDonald’s commercials.)
How well does the noise reduction and Deepsonic AI chip work in a single ear scenario? I am demoing a right side Phonak Sphere Infinio level 90. I have atresia on the other side. My audiologist believes that it shouldn't impair the Sphere's function but I haven't seen anything specifically written to address that rarer use case.
I have Oticon Intent 1 with custom ear moulds. Oticon has a charger that has no battery so had to be plugged in all the time. Hearing aids behind the ear is not suitable for most people. Apples AirPods Pro with a built in ear mould that adjusts for all ear canals would be a better solution. It is possible and should be available soon.
I have been trialing hearing aids until late 2024, but my audiologist and I are waiting until January to try the new deep neural HAs. When I try the new ones, will I get an accurate experience if they have not used the real-ear hearing measurement yet? That isn't done until I choose the HAs that I want. How can I choose if I haven't had them tailored to my hearing loss?
Thank you for the update. I think most hearing aid wearers are interested in hearing better in noise. I am not due for an update for a couple of years unless there is a dramatic change in my hearing loss.i think anxiety plays a major role in my ability to hear well in noise. If i feel anxious, my faith in understanding what i am hearing drops dramatically. I don’t think I test well either as a have tinnitus. I have taken some auditory training. .I am hoping when i do upgrade that i will get better battery life so i do not have to charge during the day and that something can be done with the color and style.
Is speech in noise score the same thing as SRT score. I have a SRT of Left 20dB and right 15 dB with WR 100% at 65dB left and WR 100% at 70 dB right. I just don't know what those mean.
I'm due an upgrade from my Phonal Marvels. I'm considering the Oticon Intent but they don't come with replaceable batteries. Anyone know if Oticon intend to produce & release them?
Starkey do offer the Edge AI in custom in the ear. I don't expect Phonak will release the Sphere in the ear due to the sheer size required to fit the larger battery and 2nd processor (DEEPSONIC).
I bought the phonak Infinios two months ago after having resounds and Starkeys. These infinios are life changing, especially in loud restaurants
Thank Dr. Cliff, love my Starkey AI’s they are awesome!
Thank you, Dr Cliff, informative review. 👏

Which aids, the Infinio Sphere, 70 or 90?

i think this list is kind of "infinio and some runners up"

I'm 2 hours into my phonak l90 sphere, I better not regret these. 😢
You will not. No regrets for any of these although the Spheres are Dr Cliff's favorite. 😃

which CROS hearing aid is the best for background noise ?
Does LACE AI Pro works only in USA?

Is Signia Pure Charge and Go 7 IX and TIX good for background noise?

SRT (speech recognition threshold) is the volume at which you correctly hear 50% of words in quiet. It is very different to a QSiN score
Discuss with your audiologist.

What would be the best hearing aid for working on a construction site? Lots of loud noises.
See an audiologist for hearing test.

Where would the Signia C&G T 7IX fit on this list if it were to be extended to top 5 or top 10?
You will not get answer.
I am going with the intent
Companies need to offer custom in the ear hearing aids for those who can't wear behind the ear hearing aids.
All the major manufacturers do offer them. Or are you looking for something not currently offered?

Some do
I think I am going with the Starkey Edge AI. Buy American 💪
I have Starkey. A bit metallic sound so going to test drive Phonak.
Talk less and slower, please.
Go into your settings and you can slow or speed up the video. I do the opposite and speed my videos up to get through them faster.
