Sweet, now if you haven't done it already, a nice little cabin free flight from the 50's converted to one or two channels to put that motor to good use.
Good morning Mark. I wonder how many schoolboys had one of those for Christmas back in the day. Looks like you have a good little runner there. After your last video I have ordered an A3 light pad. Very handy me thinks. Terry
Hi Terry, yes, certainly will have been a common engine at one point. Those light pads are so useful, and well worth getting the A3 size. I don't use it much, but invaluable when I do
Boy that sounds really good! Not too many people doing diesel here any more. Would you do a video of the inner workings and a basic operation of one? I would love to learn more about them. Mike c
Thanks for the comment, the throttle side of things is exactly like on a glow engine. If there is an rc carb it can be shut down, if just a venturi then, yes you have to wait for the fuel to run out
NICE Mark! Love the way it runs and the work you put into it.
Thanks Norm, really appreciate the comment and support, hope all is well

Haven't decided yet, but thats a great idea, thanks 😀

Thanks for the comment, pleased you enjoyed the video, and appreciate the suggestion 😀
Nice one! Runs really great. 🙂
Thanks! 👍

Good video Mark, I have never owned a diesel motor but they interest me. How do you control the throttle or is it full tilt until fuel runs out.

If you connect a servo to the compression screw you could have some kind of throttle control 😁
Good idea, but compression screws are quite stiff to turn, you would need a very strong servo, not really practical
I've got a couple of these. They need cleaning up too. When you say methanol, do you mean glow fuel or actual neat methanol?
I use neat methanol
I use acetone or cellulose thinners which works well. Just keep it off any platic parts @@MarkRobinson555
Eccellente sorpresa
Thanks very much, appreciate the comment
Where I can get this fuel
that would depend on what country you live in?
