    That's right Sendy MOFONGO is an Authentic PUERTO RICAN dish created by my AFRO PUERTO RICAN people who bought FUFU to the Caribbean. Fufu is the method of mashing the boiled plantain. Dominicans insist on claiming MOFONGO because they are not proud of their MANGU since our Mofongo has gained popularity.

    • @sendyscookin

      I’m sure you can try it, if that’s your preference.

    • @Mae-rr5ye
      @Mae-rr5ye 2 роки тому +4

      Yes it's even better if you mix the green and yellow plantains and we add the peppers and onion mix into the plantains while we are mixing. Also we don't tend to use this much oil, since we mix the plantains and peppers so you can get away with a fingernail length of cooking oil for cooking the pepper and onions. You'll need to fry the plantains though. That's how we tend to do it in PR.
