Great tutorial, Julieanne, thanks a lot! I have already used masking and learned a little by myself, but your explanation made things more clearer for me, especially as to using luminance and color range masks.
I remember adopting LR version 2 and thinking what is this and how does it fit in with Bridge and PS? Bridge is ancient history in my workflow and PS is becoming less and less important, though I still need PS for the magic of layers and precision retouching. I just hope Adobe doesn't abandon LR Classic or at least connects the LR Classic catalog to LR.😎🤙
20:58 I'm not sure if you are aware of this julieanne so I will point out, audio was cut and lightroom disappeared for a moment there. Amazing tutorial by the way. really nice to have an up to date, complete and accurate explanation on this. I loved the pear one
Hi Julieanne, Your tutorials are beyond helpful to me. I have a question about masking. Is there a way to transfer the same new mask to another image without the effect? I am editing a series of the same dog under slightly different positions, but all the mask layers are used for each of the photos. I click on "Develop Settings" then "copy" then make sure I checked off the box for masking. I like to have the masks layered and named but i have to erase each edit with the eraser brush. Hope that makes sense. Thank you for your tutorials!!!! Lisa
Thorough and sheer excellence, as always. Thanks, Julieanne.
Wow, what a great overview of the masking updates! Thanks!
