I heard of the ridges side down a while back and it also blew my mind because I did quite a few hair updos for different occasions on different people. No wonder not all of my pins stay in!
This is my fourth time watching this one. My hairdresser gave me a handful of pins. I suspect I will never have to buy them again because I can reuse them now! I hear your voice in my head about placement. Great video and my heartfelt thanks!!
I bought the Diane professional bobby pins based on your recommendation and they are life changing!! They hold my hair so well and work WAY better than those cheap ones. Thanks so much!
I have been using bobby pins right as far as ridge side down but WOW I have never stopped to realize just how much you can do with them!! You are awesome! I hope you never stop making videos! You are my favorite!!
Thanks so much for sharing, this info is what's eluded me for so long when trying to help my daughters with their hair and in fixing my own! Smart stuff! You're really a pleasure to watch and listen to, I'm definitely going to take some time to watch more of your tutorials and share them with my three girls who are in their 20s!
This was very helpful. I had never really used Bobby pins that much before but I wanted to make an updo and saw thus video. Now I know there's a right way and a wrong way and how to use them and how to use them. Thanks
Kate, you don't know how much you helped me with this tip regarding fine hair. I have tons of hair and my hair is very thick for the very important exception of around my face. It's very thin at my temples ( sad part of aging. Hehe :) so I can't really pin without skin showing. This tip with teasing is a life saver! Thank you so much Kate!
Yup, I have been using bobby pins wrong this whole time!!! I'll change that, thank you very much! Plus I bought the Diane brand pins, and you were not kidding, those are hands down better than what I was using!!!!! xoxo
Kate, thank you so much! My whole relationship with pins is changed! That trick with ponny tail is a super idea. I also would like to compliment your hair style. I love both shape and colour.
I cannot even say how helpful this video is, I can't wait to try all the tips, especially the hairspray thing and buying better pins. I have such a love hate relationship with bobby pins so hopefully that'll change now! Thanks!
This was fabulous! Thank you so much for giving us the basics. My 10 yr old girl is just now getting into her hair, and wants some of the fancier styles. My good ole high ponytail is not enough anymore!
